HE IS victorious, as are all who repent and believe in Him (by faith alone). Christian's are to pray for our leaders but we aren't called to "build America", we are called to build God's kingdom. We happen to live in America. Likewise, building America is not the gospel, social justice is not the same as building God’s kingdom. That's not the unity God intends for us with a man leading us as "God's choice". We are in the NEW COVENANT! God's Son leads us home! Totally understand where you’re coming from with the criticism, but this is a political convention, not a church. Our faith is not in a political party but in God alone. I am glad to see the Republican party welcome her so that others may realize that being a republican does not automatically = being a Christian or all-around conservative. Let’s give them patience and grace, our job is to love/pray for them, and let God do the rest! We should not pretend to know anyone’s heart. In the end, thank goodness, we don’t have to be the Judge!

Allie, we are a Bible-loving, Jesus-loving family. My husband is a laborer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and I cannot even begin to tell you how much we appreciate the head of the Teamsters Union giving that speech. We were glued to his words and give a hearty “Amen” to all that he said. He spoke the truth. These laborers are worked literally beyond their physical and mental ability…without time off or even sick pay (although was finally approved for 3 days per year just a few months ago). To understand the heavy burdens placed upon these laborers, it might be a great idea to interview (or dig into) someone who is actually in this demographic. The speech was far from boring for us! And I do not mean that in a rude way to you!! I adore you and I absolutely LOVE your show and how you’ve grown my faith!! My husband is also the State legislator for the Union for the state of Oregon. It’s remarkable what the Railroad has demanded upon these people ~ and what their families endure! It is inhuman. Thank you for all you do!!!

I know Amber may not have been the best person up there but I think the point they’re trying to make is how peoples minds can be changed for the better. This is just the beginning for her. She may change even more along the way as she grows. Hopefully she’ll give her life to Christ and she’ll see Christians will love her deeply.
I had surgery on my ear, and that is exactly how they covered it. It's just a guaze square folded and taped on. It catches drainage and keeps hair and lint from getting in the wound and causing infection.

Our most important freedom is freedom of religion. It is the singular reason the pilgrims left England for America. Why should our party ignore our fellow Americans who sincerely worship according to their beliefs. I think it goes a long way toward uniting the people. It is currently necessary that the populists/working class unite with the right side, right now. Our country needs them to if we have any chance of correcting course. Besides, in reality, our One true God is the 'only' God listening to everyone's prayers. There's no reason he can't answer their's as well.

I am a Teamster, and I voted for our current president and the rest of our leaders this past cycle, and Sean and the other guys are a big shift from our previous leaders. I have always been conflicted about being a conservative union member, but that's another story. However, I have felt much better having our current group of leaders, and I pray that they continue moving in the "right" direction. 🙏

We must, as Christians and children of God, remember that God views sin different than we do. So how we put people and their actions or motives on some sort of sliding scale as part of our human understanding of sin often does not match how God views sin. When Jesus Christ came down to this earth and formed the basis for the Christian ministry, he didn't spend his time with the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the staunch and upright , he didn't spend his time with the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the devout or upright people. He most often sought out those who were sinners and lost in this world. And he didn't seek these people out to condemn them or judge them. He did this to offer them a chance at salvation. We are to emulate Jesus Christ in our own lives as children of God.
With respect, yes, Jesus did spend time with Pharisees and Sadducees. Nicodemus, the guy who was hosting Jesus's meal when a woman poured oil on his feet, and Joseph of Arimathea to name a few.
@@Ricman78 I think you take what I say out of context a bit. The two people that you mentioned from the Bible actually sought Jesus out. Jesus did not seek them out. There's a difference. In the ministry that Jesus conducted in his time on this earth, he sought out those who needed salvation, and that was often the harlot or the thief or the infirmed. But that doesn't mean that people weren't moved by his teachings and actually sought him out instead. There is context, and I think you have missed that in your reply....with respect of course.
I appreciate your podcast and I usually agree with you, but not this time. My wife and I were moved by the courage and sincerity of Amber Rose and her speech. I do not approve of her stance on issues especially abortion. However, we have to be careful of being overly pietistic. Obviously as Christians, we know that holy living is the result of regeneration. Amber Rose does not claim to be a Bible believing Christian, however, we must be sensitive to the possibility that God may have begun a good work in her heart. She needs our prayers and encouragement. It took a lot of courage for her to speak out in opposition to the culture that once embraced her.
I have a huge issue with the teamsters leader speaking at the RNC. That is like having a prominent mob boss speaking for the faith and family side of the aisle. Sure, it may bring more votes in, but at what cost? As we move further and further away from God, I hope the price is worth it…I don’t see how it can be! Father, help us!

Wait, so let me get this straight … You have a higher bar for who can speak at the RNC than who can attend your church? Or is Amber Rose not welcome there either? In order for you to show people what a Godly household looks like, you have to be willing to let them into your home. Particularly if you want to spread the word AND you see that the person is undergoing a positive evolution. I’m a big supporter Allie but on this one you are letting your high horse block your eyes from the seeing the bigger picture … which is the benefits a broader message means for the Republican Party, America, and the Christian faith. If Christians aren’t willing and able to help support people when they are that fork in the road in their spiritual journey, the other side will be there with open arms to steal their soul.

Allie, we are a Bible-loving, Jesus-loving family. My husband is a laborer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and I cannot even begin to tell you how much we appreciate the head of the Teamsters Union giving that speech. We were glued to his words and give a hearty “Amen” to all that he said. He spoke the truth. These laborers are worked literally beyond their physical and mental ability…without time off or even sick pay (although was finally approved for 3 days per year just a few months ago). To understand the heavy burdens placed upon these laborers, it might be a great idea to interview (or dig into) someone who is actually in this demographic. The speech was far from boring for us! And I do not mean that in a rude way to you!! I adore you and I absolutely LOVE your show and how you’ve grown my faith!! My husband is also the State legislator for the Union for the state of Oregon. It’s remarkable what the Railroad has demanded upon these people ~ and what their families endure! It is inhuman. Thank you for all you do!!!

Our most important freedom is freedom of religion. It is the singular reason the pilgrims left England for America. Why should our party ignore our fellow Americans who sincerely worship according to their beliefs. I think it goes a long way toward uniting the people. It is currently necessary that the populists/working class unite with the right side, right now. Our country needs them to if we have any chance of correcting course. Besides, in reality, our One true God is the 'only' God listening to everyone's prayers. There's no reason he can't answer their's as well.

I am a Teamster, and I voted for our current president and the rest of our leaders this past cycle, and Sean and the other guys are a big shift from our previous leaders. I have always been conflicted about being a conservative union member, but that's another story. However, I have felt much better having our current group of leaders, and I pray that they continue moving in the "right" direction. 🙏

Allie- Amber Rose has recently moved from left towards the right… and I was Amber Rose in my 20s… I believed what she believed and am now a born again pro life Christian… I think she can bring alot of young unbelievers into the party and they can be introduced to Christianity for their first time in their lives…. I just want to say that having many family members that are Teamsters. That was HUGE having the Teamster head at the convention. The Teamsters almost always vote Democrat.

We must, as Christians and children of God, remember that God views sin different than we do. So how we put people and their actions or motives on some sort of sliding scale as part of our human understanding of sin often does not match how God views sin. When Jesus Christ came down to this earth and formed the basis for the Christian ministry, he didn't spend his time with the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the staunch and upright , he didn't spend his time with the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the devout or upright people. He most often sought out those who were sinners and lost in this world. And he didn't seek these people out to condemn them or judge them. He did this to offer them a chance at salvation. We are to emulate Jesus Christ in our own lives as children of God.
With respect, yes, Jesus did spend time with Pharisees and Sadducees. Nicodemus, the guy who was hosting Jesus's meal when a woman poured oil on his feet, and Joseph of Arimathea to name a few.
@@Ricman78 I think you take what I say out of context a bit. The two people that you mentioned from the Bible actually sought Jesus out. Jesus did not seek them out. There's a difference. In the ministry that Jesus conducted in his time on this earth, he sought out those who needed salvation, and that was often the harlot or the thief or the infirmed. But that doesn't mean that people weren't moved by his teachings and actually sought him out instead. There is context, and I think you have missed that in your reply....with respect of course.

I appreciate your podcast and I usually agree with you, but not this time. My wife and I were moved by the courage and sincerity of Amber Rose and her speech. I do not approve of her stance on issues especially abortion. However, we have to be careful of being overly pietistic. Obviously as Christians, we know that holy living is the result of regeneration. Amber Rose does not claim to be a Bible believing Christian, however, we must be sensitive to the possibility that God may have begun a good work in her heart. She needs our prayers and encouragement. It took a lot of courage for her to speak out in opposition to the culture that once embraced her.
I have a huge issue with the teamsters leader speaking at the RNC. That is like having a prominent mob boss speaking for the faith and family side of the aisle. Sure, it may bring more votes in, but at what cost? As we move further and further away from God, I hope the price is worth it…I don’t see how it can be! Father, help us!

I was/am deeply disturbed by that prayer being offered at the RNC.
And I think it was a great to have Amber Rose speak. She’s pretty near to a cultural icon with a whole lot of younger people and people of color listening to what she has to say! And it was very powerful to have her share her journey of finding out the truth about our party, that we’re not the racists that the media had told her we were. Amber Rose is relevant to millions of voters who wouldn’t give you the time of day. So, I think we should be grateful that she was willing to stick her neck out there and speak.

Particularly if you want to spread the word AND you see that the person is undergoing a positive evolution. I’m a big supporter Allie but on this one you are letting your high horse block your eyes from the seeing the bigger picture … which is the benefits a broader message means for the Republican Party, America, and the Christian faith. If Christians aren’t willing and able to help support people when they are that fork in the road in their spiritual journey, the other side will be there with open arms to steal their soul.

There is a lot of negativity coming out of this new dynamic duo. Please don't be deceived both sides work for the same people, Things are just going to get worse in this world, you should know this by now but the silver lining for real Christians and we should all be trying to be real is that our redemption draws near.
As conservatives, we gotta do the hard work of winning souls, hearts, and minds. But we gotta welcome everyone into the tent, as well. Be loving, but also unwavering in our convictions. That said, we will always be working against the current. The long trend is always and forever to the left. As a friend of mine put it: "It's like fighting entropy."

I think what the republican platform is doing is realizing they have to reach for more groups. Meaning, not just Christian groups. I am completely with you Allie and I love your heart!!! We as Christians have to keep fighting for what we believe in!!!
