+Sir Chirpsalot This exact thing happened to me yesterday after I had watched a rap video on 1.25 speed and then I continued to watch Jazza's channel...had me confused
For a long time, I thought about changing into realistic style since it's pretty popular, but I'm not too comfy with it. Then I decided I just draw whatever I'm happy with and not caring about people's opinion.
JennyAnimation Just keep to something you are comfortable with. And when you are ready you can go harder out of your comfort zone and try something new.
Okay okay.. Stop saying "I _wish_ I could do it" You *CAN* do it You *WILL* do it The more you keep on wishing that you're art style could be a certain way, the more you're going to start hating your art style, then changing it to make it look more similar/better but it just gets Worse and worse and *worse* and _worse_ You're own style may be garbage...... *TO YOU* Maybe other people don't see it that way, actually *try* to make your art style good. If you know its gonna turn out bad, keep going, because mistakes is what makes you get better. It's not talent. All it takes is tray of effort and a sprinkle of faith. TL;DR: Don't give up on your art just because you think someone else's is better than yours
***** This has nothing to do with what you just said but do you realise how many people liked my comment and I'm just some random youtuber saying what I think actually happened?
Whenever I get slightly depressed about creative blocks and just not living up to my own expectations as an artist, I watch this video to kinda remind myself where I stand… really strange, but it helps to ground my thoughts a bit
I appreciate this vid, because i always thought my art was all over the place and was nothing but after I saw this vid and had some comments on my DA and then i thought i do have my own style i really think that I can always improve but personally I don't mind my art. And Jazza personally I admire your art it always inspires me to make more art as well so Ty Jazza for helping me with that
Oh dear - I'm sorry but telling someone "I don't like your style, you should change it" is like telling someone "I don't like your face, change it". There is only one good answer to that - "fuck off".
No mate, you can give someone tips on their technique but not style. The only person who can "improve" your style is you. Style is all the way personal.
Style is something beginners overthink a lot, I used to be guilty of this as well, but I've come to realize these few things. #1: No matter what style you want to eventually draw in, aiming for the highest level of realism you can get when you're starting out and while you're learning is going to serve you extremely well (in other words, real first, stylize next) I think the perfect balance is to aim for semirealism paintings because while you try to get things to look as real as you can, you don't overdo it, and because it's "semi" real just drawing in this way, aiming for it in and of itself will encourage you to develop your own style whether you realize it or not. In short, work to the highest level of realism you can achieve, then downscale, that downscale will become your style. (By downscale what I really mean is simplify), doing this will also make the drawing of simpler styles so much much more easier, because you already know how to do it better. #2: Style isn't this mystical element people seem to think it is, what style truly is (unless you're an abstract painter, that's a different scene) is not how you draw, it's how you simplify the things you draw. This is why the most stylized drawings we tend to see are cartoon drawings and comic book drawings, the reason for this is because these are industrial drawings where there are deadlines and speed is of the essence, these artists try to get the highest amount of quality they can into the little space of deadline time they have, that is how style begins. Back in the old days everyone just did realist paintings, there was no urgency for simplification, so there was no need for style. Art wasn't a creative process until in very recent years (like the past two centuries) and creative art was extremely rare until then, art was what cameras are today. As cameras came into being, art had to evolve, and oh boy it has. #3: Your very own personal style is a happy accident. You don't develop it, either in the process of trying to draw something as realistic as you can, or in the process of trying to simplify something in the best way that you can one of two things are gonna happen from time to time. You are either going to experiment, try many ways to simplify one object, pick the one that looks best to you, that resonates with you, and that is now part of your style... or you make a mistake, and that mistake happens to look very good, so you leave it in on purpose instead of fixing it, then you draw again and remember that mistake you made, and either you liked it so much that you want to replicate it, or you didn't so you just forget about it. This is how style develops, it's this fluid unreachable thing that... the less you think about it, the more naturally it's just gonna come to you. Style can't happen on purpose for a beginner, for a beginner your style will develop from you simply trying to do your best all the time. For an advanced artist, someone who already knows how to draw very well, very realistic, style will develop from him trying to simplify that realism, this is for example how we got cel shading, someone decided that it was a hassle to do all these values and all those color variations and gradients that happen in paintings and in life... So they simplified it to just one shade color, and one midtone color, many artists will actually leave it at that, but some will also have a one highlight color, this can be one color per image or one color per object, depends on the artist, and these are the sort of things that define style. Don't think about style, don't think about your style, don't think about other peoples styles, just try to do your utmost best, try to go as real as you can, and once you feel satisfied with the level of realism, then either stick with that, or simplify, when that moment comes, then you can start thinking about style because that is when you are first ready to develop it. The less you simplify the more real what you draw will look, the more you simplify the more stylized it will look, for example compare anime to the simpsons, which looks more stylized to you? Simpsons clearly, because anime still has a strong trace of realist drawings in it, the goal of those who developed that style was to make things remain as real as possible while making it as easy to draw as possilbe finding that perfect balance between real and simplified, and along the way make it look as pretty as possible (all the beautiful girls and the pretty boys right?), for the simpsons' artist (matt groening right?) he had another goal in mind when he developed his own style. Both had one thing in common and that was time limited development; they had to be able to do it and do it fast. When you're doing something like animations, at least the way they are done today, you can't draw at your peak skill level, because that takes you too long, you need to draw every frame; 24 frames per second; 1440 frames per minute; 29000~ frames per episode. You can get away with all sorts of tricks to shrink these numbers but these are the numbers for all decent 20~ minute animations. On a weekly release schedule like say anime, that's 29000 frames per week the saving grace here is that not every frame is greatly varied, you have a setting in a background, and you animate the characters within that setting, there are tons of shortcuts to speed this up, you can re-use old frames a lot, but there will always be times when you need to draw something in and draw it frame-by-frame. Of course you need to be able to do it super bloody fast, like lightning, you need to be able to puke a background on a canvas in around ~10 minutes, bam, you need to be able to draw characters from various angles in 5-15 minutes, you need to be able to re-draw parts of the character (like their moving arms or legs or even head) in just 2-5 minutes, and maybe you'll get 5 minutes worth of animation per day, depending on how many shortcuts you use maybe even more, but for every shortcut you use the quality of your work is going to be chipped down a little. The main part of the simpsons was not the art or art style, it was the characters and the per-episode stories, the comedic value, so to have more time to focus on that I imagine matt groening chopped down the levels of quality in his drawings quite substantially, the need arose to do so. But you might not be an animator, and not want to be an animator, you might just want to draw really good individual artworks, if so then I don't see why you wouldn't go for a more realistic style, you might however want to be a comic book artist and then you are faced with a very similar situation as the animator, but you have a bit more breathing room (however comic book creation is no joke either, it sounds easier than animation, but is it really? there are not as many shortcuts you can use like with animation, especially if you're doing the good old fashioned way on paper) Don't think about style, just do your best, and when the time comes that you know that in the near future you will be facing some deadlines, then it's time to put your hands together and decide not "how will I make my style" but "how will I simplify my drawings so that I can make them on time?" You can either be hired to do a job like being a concept artist, or you could have this project you've been planning out, and you want to make something like a weekly comic, well, that would be part of your preparation phase. That is how your style will naturally come to you, and the more you know, the more advanced you can make your style which is why it's always best to start out aiming for realism, by drawing realistically you cannot avoid learning how we see things, what we see, and how light works, light being the absolutely one thing you need to fully understand to be able to draw. (Look around you, all you see is light, there is nothing but light, and objects are not "lit" no, light is reflected off the surface off these objects into your retina which is how you see them, the light of this object is shining on your eye, that's how you see the object. this is why when you look at an object, if you move your head just a little bit... up, down, left or right, you will see it in a different light setting, the highlights will move, even the shadows and midtones will shift a little, it's not that the light source is changing, it's just your eye's placement) Dunno why I wrote all this, but yeah. Thinking about developing our own style while we're beginners is just a trick your mind plays on you to get you to avoid doing actual work, it plays these games to get you to "think" rather than "act", because it is going to take every opportunity it gets to prevent you from doing work, and get you to relax, or chill out, it wants you to watch t.v. wants you to eat, wants you to play video games, wants to have fun.... once things start to matter to you like art, even if they're fun, they become work, they're important, you don't want to fail, now your mind is too stressed out to do it the way you used to, so it leads you off into tangents to avoid doing the thing that could go wrong. (Which is exactly what's happening to me right now, I should be drawing, but to draw I need to sketch, sketching I'm not very good at, so many things can go wrong... except they can't, and I know they can't, but subconsciously I'm afraid that I'm wrong, so I get lead into the tangent of writing this load of crap).
AwesomeSteph0928 You say that you don't know what to draw, but I imagine you're bad like me... so there must be this huge mountain of things that you really wish you could draw but know you can't right? Well when you don't know what to draw, pick one of the things from that mountain, and if you really really can't pick anything, just fall back to the absolute basics and draw a cube, cylinder and or sphere and see where that all leads. You won't find style while trying to learn to draw objects, you will only find it after you know how to draw them and are thinking about how to simplify these drawings of these things in some way. Anyone can follow a drawing tutorial that shows you how to sketch something step by step. But look at like ctrlpaint.com or proko, can you follow these step by steps? Technically yes, but really? probably no. And unless you approach learning to in the right way you never will (the right way to learn is way beyond the scope of style though)
+AwesomeSteph0928 theres a few "idea generator" apps you can download that generates ideas to draw. give it a try. to improve your skills, i reccomend downloading "canvas tutor" it gives you topics and tasks to practice eachday and you earn points for each day you complete the daily task
Everyone has a style, don't change it because people don't like it. I don't adore your style (mainly because the proportions) but you like it, other people like it, so keep it. I know plenty of people probably hate my style, but hey... do what your comfortable with!
thanks bruv, alot of people keep saying that my style needs some work or its not good enough. like let me be happy with my style, its a bit cartoony with some light source shading but its a massive improvement for me from last year
This is the best video I've seen on developing your own style. Some UA-camrs upload a video about the topic and it's as if they don't really want you to learn what it is because they're afraid you might copy them or that your art will be better. Umm . . . if folks are watching a vid entitled how to develop/find your own art style, chances are they are tired of or don't want to copy. I really like that you pointed out that most people who have been drawing for awhile already have their own style and own aesthetic to begin with. It's like the characters in Wizard of Oz finally meeting the Wizard and finding out that they had what they needed to make them happy and successful all along. It's a matter of developing what you've already got.
I always felt like I had a style, but I always thought it copied off my best friend. That friend once said (I couldn’t tell if they were joking...) said: “that’s like my style” and ever since, I’ve been trying to find a new style. It hasn’t changed much, but it’s fun to draw and I think it looks good. Now go read a better comment!
SU fans unite! Also, same. My characters come out looking like they came out of the show aforementioned (with longer necks and more detailed hair and taller plus other, smaller differences.)
My style is kind of a realisticish style But it's a little bit anime ish And I just give up on the nose and mouth... So it's all super detailed And then the nose is a little half circle thing
Look for new artists? Well, Draw with Jazza, you fit that bill quite nicely. Been watching your videos for about 2 months now and I've learned more than I would have expected and you have quickly become a role model for me in my artistic journey! Keep up the good work my friend!
p.05 Well, if you like your current style, and don’t think it can improve, keep it as is. If you want to change it to where you like it, do it! Just what makes YOU happy!
I sorta draw a western anime style. The eyes are sharp, noses square and skin is practically made out of plastic. It's very colourful too. I make sure the eye-whites aren't perfectly white (it typically has a yellow or green tinge). This is because I like to think they have unhealthy and have liver problems. They have a wide variety of facial expressions this is since I watched a lot of ren and stimpy as a kid and I think us humans are very flexible in the face. Drawing skinny or muscular bodies is a bit tough for me. Especially with guys. Drawing curvey girls is so easier. Basically everyone is a little overweight or beefy compared to the superficial anime standards 😂
Also drawing muscular men is eady once you get the hang of it, the problem I had was I was starting with a female which doesn't work well since woman are curvy wheras men are straight and sharp.
Shoes mate, or socks. Never learn to draw feet perfectly unless you REALLY want to. But I don't really see why anyone would want to draw feet so defined. ......wait.....0_e
I have always disliked color, and never really been very interested in it. I will also say I'm not to good at it, but that's probably because I've never cared about color enough to learn and use it. It always confuses people though, when I tell them I dislike using color.
Unless u have teaching Potter in your hands at the time. Dont fret. That's kinda cool that yippy have visual kinetic memory and are skilled to replicate
That's awesome! I did the same thing, then eventually I found myself fixated on fewer things, like blizzards art style, or J scott campbell, or disney. It's always good to expand out of our comfort zone, but it's also good to pursue the more limited genres that let our imagination run wild!
Draw with Jazza Im a novice but I try my only problem is I'm a bit of a perfectionists and I try too hard, I always tried to find my own style.. well I'm still trying but thanks for the help
usually your style I'd a mix of styles of artists you look up to and reference my example is that I used to own a lot of how to draw books and stuff, that and fun2draw videos
All I know is when I draw something I either say "This looks great!" or "This looks like my weird version of a cartoon character.." or "Ok, this can go into the trash.."
I Have Some Style That Maybe You Tried Or Wanna Try : "It Looked Better 5 Minutes Ago" Style "FFF- How Do I Draw The Other Eye!?!?" Style "Ugh- Why I Kept Drawing Shitty Fingerss?" Style
Perkedel Lover I just don't draw eyes. My style is "faceless stick figures". I like it, but my family isn't a huge fan. Usually, if I draw, it's always a comic strip because I hope that the humor will mask how awful my drawing is.
I'm seventeen now, and my "likes" on drawing and creating "characters" just came last year. I come from Vietnam where people focus on "papers", "certificates" and more than a thing called passion. At my age now, my friends are studying freakingly just to get to universities (being called that but low quality). But to me, I was just wandering through all those and focus on nothing. Just when I'm inspired by something cool from comics. Your videos now are my guide, my preferences for my future aims. I just want to do things like you - not to be a doctor, an engineer or any of other "impressive" jobs that people in my country do. Thank you so much for inspiring me so that I find the right way. Thank you so much!! :)
gatinator animator.corp it doesn't matter if you can't draw yet.If you want to draw but u just can't draw and don't like your drawings practice always makes your drawings better haha you see I started drawing in 3rd grade like what I love and now I'm in 7th grade and I can almost master my favorite authors/anime/manga creators art so it's just practice (Akira Toriyama---Dragon ball z)ya but now since I wanna make my own type of Style haha
+SuperSaiyanAna i started drawing in 1 st grade for 9 years, i went to art school as my additional activity....and it seems i dont improve fast...not even on medium, i feel stupid when cant...but at least i am better than those who dont draw at all
I feel like my 'style' is a bit too... Dynamic. Lots of things change: - The arms can be either semi-cartoony or wibbly woos - Hands can have four or five fingers - Hair can be relatively normal or complete insanity - Eyes can be one of three things: Soulless white circles, somewhat normal-ish and "think sonic the hedgehog eyes" You there! Yes you, person that was so bored that they read my comment! Tell me how your style can change subtly between different drawings.
I have a problem with consistency when drawing faces, mostly eyes. I always change the shape or size or something, and it annoys me but I don't know how to make a full spectrum of facial expressions in the same style.
This is how I think of it, everybody looks different right? Doesn't this mean that your drawings have the liberty to be different every time? Don't be discouraged if you are trying to recreate a fav piece of yours and it doesn't come out. I know for me, my style toggles between cute cartoony, and hyper realistic (still working on color in the realism). Sometimes I can't do one and sometimes I can't do the other. For a long time I was really discouraged that I didn't see that I had a style. My friend and a super cute style that she has developed and can always do. I love it and for a while tried too hard to copy it. But it's not my style :/ Anyway! Don't be discouraged if you see two of your pictures and think "wow the nose is awesome and detailed there!" Then on the other picture. "I don't even have a nose..." We are all developing and growing. And this doesn't mean you have to be STRICT in your artwork. I hope this helped! Good luck!
itsMiatch When I draw, I switch between western cartoon and anime-ish style, then my hands are super realistic and the next day they're blobs. It's quite noice.
itsMiatch my art style is quite like anime .... But with a more less "animated" theme .... But i struggle a lot with the eyes as i can't decide wether to go all-out sharingan or try making it like proper human eyes
Great vid man. Growing up I was always inspired by the artist of Cracked and Mad magazines. So many different styles but most had this nasty, weird edge to it. For some reason it stuck with me.
I have been drawing for over twenty years. I have a lot of different styles I draw in. I'm struggling to get people to notice me as a brand. I never stick to one style - but lately I feel like I need to cement myself as a certain style of animator/illustrator. I don't know if I should begin several different websites and separate all the styles as different brands.
My style came to life because I couldn't stop drawing Sonic characters! :") Any human or other creature I draw that is NOT Sonic looks like they would belong in Sonic! ;^;
I have a problem, I want to use one style but I also want to use the other. Then I look at other artists and go "oh! That looks cool!" Then try to adapt to something more like that, but I still have the other style, and I get confused on which I should follow, and I get lost on what I want to do and change my style every time I draw something, and I want to settle. I don't know what to do, because I can't make a decision.
You probably might not agree with this, but I think I'd recommend to worry less about style and focus on improving your fundamentals if its gotten to a point where you're feeling lost, maybe draw from life every now and then. Style by itself won't make your art impressive if it still suffers from poor anatomy, perspectives, etc, and the only way to get these is through years of dedicated practice. Style simply can't be forced, and so its best not to hunt for it imo. I also don't recommend taking too much from other artistst: you can end up copying their errors and imperfections without knowing it, and if done too much it could potentially come off as uncreative. It's perfectly ok to take inspiration from others but don't adapt to/copy them outright. Instead, think of why their purpose and motives of why they drew it like that, the motive of it. If you admire an artist's style, they probably first learned reality's foundations and then afterwards tweaked it while being true to themselves. That's all style really is, simplifying reality in a way that interprets your imagination of the world. Just keep working to improve your fundamentals and remember the purpose of each drawing you make: the things you like, why you like them, and what they say to you. As long as you have the basics down, your style will slowly unearth itself overtime and become inter-changeable once you've mastered the foundations. Good luck.
My style is still in development, I set myself back to fundamentals because I've never been good at scale and proportions so I think learning that properly will help before finding a comfortable style, I know when I was younger I used to draw very stretched people, loooong legs, looong, bodies, even loooong heads
My style is all over the place 😂 what I imagine in my head is what I draw and most of the time it's cartoony kinda things because I find those characters cute, simple to draw and I can actually draw the things I imagined. But I also like to draw realistic stuff but it takes a lot of time and with school, I don't have that time
Hey Jazza, I'm not an artist but I have learned a lot from you when it comes to things I am passionate about like music. I've been doing classical percussion for four years now and have just started learning the in and outs of drumming. Just wanted you to know that you have been tremendously helpful to me. Thank you.
Your videos are really inspirational and greatly help boost my confidence when it comes to drawing. I may not be as good as I want to be right now but that doesn't mean that I won't reach that level one day.
i’ve always loved drawing and recently i started making it a big passion of mine, and i’m trying to get better, in hopes to be as good as you someday, jazza. i’m experimenting with different styles, but i haven’t found the right one. i’m also having a bit of trouble with anatomy, but i’m working on it. i hope i’ll be as good as you jazza!
in the thumbnail, I really like the one ur avatar is facing! (the one thats simple and has a big smile) Could u please make a video on how to draw character in that style? thanks
This is just advice everyone! YOU are the one who picks your art style. Most of you say you are “bad” but we all know that if we have good practice we can get better! I don’t draw very well but that’s how I draw. You take your “bad” art style and make it better then it is! If you need to trace something to figure it out that is fine! Don’t lose hope and keep practicing ❤︎
I've always loved the cartoonish-realistic hybrid styles, so I've been striving towards that. Getting closer and closer with each random animal sketch.
One of the best art styles to go for is the *SCOTT PILGRIM WAY OF ART STYLE*. It's mostly western with an extremely subtle hint of japanese in it. (The art style i mean, if were talking japan, we've got the katayanagi twins for that who of course, are japanese)
I don't have a style lol!!!! I've been drawing since I could pick things up. Anything that pops in my head I draw lol. I have to say don't try to find your style, it comes to you. Draw what you wanna draw not what someone wants you to!!!
I have been drawing for years as a hobby when a kid and drew things like Sonic the hedgehog or portrait predications of my parents since they didn't have photos of them when they were kids. At first I took my time drawing Sonic since at first I didn't have that many distractions like now and days (smartphones and a high speed computer at my disposal). Miss those days sometimes. Horrible at doing paintings and drawings digitally with mouse pad, and surprisingly good at it (but takes forever without mistakes) with a regular mouse (keep in mind I have never used a tablet or digital drawing pad). I have took many things for granted in life, the gifts god has gave me. I have chosen learning the skill of programming in banishing my talents for drawing. My life in a nutshell.
if you really enjoy drawing than i suggest getting a tablet, mine's definitely changed me for the better. (btw im also rubbish at painting) Any free time you've got with a computer can be spent doodling or trying out new ideas, and it can just be a little hobby on the side. (I recently found out that my gym teacher has a tablet and now we spend lunch periods drawing ninja turtles and transformers) so please don't waste your talent
Donna Johnson Thanks for the tablet suggestion, I didn't know if I should get one for years! :D And since I reconsidered wont waste my talent, especially with me able to upload my art to DevianArt. Have you watched the 80s TMNT cartoon I suggest you watch it. Love the art style and very entertaining.
Thank you so much! I am a beginner, aspiring, visual artist and I love the look of certain cartoons. This video gave me more insight into how I should go about learning and practicing art. thank you Jazza!
I try to do anime art and cartoonish art at the same time but I’ve mostly been doing anime And it’s been coming out nicely You just have to believe in yourself and draw

But what if everything I make is garbage?
Sorry for replying to an old comment..
@Intropow Reaveler But I don't have a recycling bin
@Intropow Reaveler But what if it could qualify as garbage..?
@Intropow Reaveler I think my problem is the opposite, I hate it all but other people think it's decent.. Oh well, cya around..

I love the fact that someone goes back to their vids posted AGES ago and responds to comments

Oh dear - I'm sorry but telling someone "I don't like your style, you should change it" is like telling someone "I don't like your face, change it". There is only one good answer to that - "fuck off".
Agreed!

That only comes off as insecure.
Irrational anger like that only says that you have self esteem issues.
Why watch them in the first place? That is, unless they're being unoriginal and an art thief.
No mate, you can give someone tips on their technique but not style. The only person who can "improve" your style is you. Style is all the way personal.
I call my style: "rubbish"
People call my style: "aw cute"
As soon as I saw rubbish I had to read the whole thing over, but with an accent 😂😂
I read that word the way Lego Shakespeare said it from The Lego Movie.
Well, at least it isn't the other way around.
Me: "aww, cute"
Everyone else: "rubbish"
But you might not be an animator, and not want to be an animator, you might just want to draw really good individual artworks, if so then I don't see why you wouldn't go for a more realistic style, you might however want to be a comic book artist and then you are faced with a very similar situation as the animator, but you have a bit more breathing room (however comic book creation is no joke either, it sounds easier than animation, but is it really? there are not as many shortcuts you can use like with animation, especially if you're doing the good old fashioned way on paper)
Don't think about style, just do your best, and when the time comes that you know that in the near future you will be facing some deadlines, then it's time to put your hands together and decide not "how will I make my style" but "how will I simplify my drawings so that I can make them on time?" You can either be hired to do a job like being a concept artist, or you could have this project you've been planning out, and you want to make something like a weekly comic, well, that would be part of your preparation phase. (Look around you, all you see is light, there is nothing but light, and objects are not "lit" no, light is reflected off the surface off these objects into your retina which is how you see them, the light of this object is shining on your eye, that's how you see the object. this is why when you look at an object, if you move your head just a little bit... up, down, left or right, you will see it in a different light setting, the highlights will move, even the shadows and midtones will shift a little, it's not that the light source is changing, it's just your eye's placement)
Dunno why I wrote all this, but yeah.
And unless you approach learning to in the right way you never will (the right way to learn is way beyond the scope of style though)
amen lol
+AwesomeSteph0928 theres a few "idea generator" apps you can download that generates ideas to draw. give it a try. to improve your skills, i reccomend downloading "canvas tutor" it gives you topics and tasks to practice eachday and you earn points for each day you complete the daily task

My super unique style is called:

I always felt like I had a style, but I always thought it copied off my best friend. That friend once said (I couldn’t tell if they were joking...) said: “that’s like my style” and ever since, I’ve been trying to find a new style. It hasn’t changed much, but it’s fun to draw and I think it looks good. Now go read a better comment!

I'm surprised if anyone reads this. Seriously I sound like a fricken narcissist carrying on

I have an unhealthy too.
Also drawing muscular men is eady once you get the hang of it, the problem I had was I was starting with a female which doesn't work well since woman are curvy wheras men are straight and sharp.

I just don't draw eyes.

I feel like my 'style' is a bit too... Dynamic.
Lots of things change:
- The arms can be either semi-cartoony or wibbly woos
- Hands can have four or five fingers
- Hair can be relatively normal or complete insanity
- Eyes can be one of three things: Soulless white circles, somewhat normal-ish and "think sonic the hedgehog eyes"
You there!
But it's not my style :/
Anyway!

Hey at least you have great consistency
Hey. It’s your old friend movie sonic. Can you please unlock your door for me?
Good luck.
My style is called “HOW THE HELL DO YOU DRAW A FACE?!” You should try it!
If Jazza made a webcomic, that'd be awesome. He has a hillarious sense of humour and some damn good art. :D
Who saw the Goku style hair at the bottom?
I love jazza's art style
you have videos that answer all of my drawing questions , you. are. amazing! :D
I'm so glad you find some of my videos helpful! :)
My style is "I have drawn the body, time to ruin the face"
Hahaha😂 by the way can you sub to my channel
My style is still in development, I set myself back to fundamentals because I've never been good at scale and proportions so I think learning that properly will help before finding a comfortable style, I know when I was younger I used to draw very stretched people, loooong legs, looong, bodies, even loooong heads
My style is all over the place 😂 what I imagine in my head is what I draw and most of the time it's cartoony kinda things because I find those characters cute, simple to draw and I can actually draw the things I imagined. But I also like to draw realistic stuff but it takes a lot of time and with school, I don't have that time
My style is...
Brain: circle
Arm: circle
Hand: circle
Fingers: best I can do is a wobbly oval
Hey Jazza, I'm not an artist but I have learned a lot from you when it comes to things I am passionate about like music. I've been doing classical percussion for four years now and have just started learning the in and outs of drumming. Just wanted you to know that you have been tremendously helpful to me. Thank you.
Your videos are really inspirational and greatly help boost my confidence when it comes to drawing. I may not be as good as I want to be right now but that doesn't mean that I won't reach that level one day.
any one else see charlie brown style? lol

i’ve always loved drawing and recently i started making it a big passion of mine, and i’m trying to get better, in hopes to be as good as you someday, jazza. i’m experimenting with different styles, but i haven’t found the right one. i’m also having a bit of trouble with anatomy, but i’m working on it. i hope i’ll be as good as you jazza!
what would you do if you drew yourself as a Danny Phantom character???
Phoenix Phantom. that's my current favorite style
Bitter Control yeah! :)
Stacy Jones isn't that like fairly odd parents style as well?
JonDoesGaming yeah, but the DP one is more mature-like.
I always love to seek new styles and colouring techniques. Sometimes I like to blend two or three know styles into one.
I used to watch papartou era jazza, had no idea how helpful this would be, jazzas always good, any era, haha
in the thumbnail, I really like the one ur avatar is facing! (the one thats simple and has a big smile) Could u please make a video on how to draw character in that style?
thanks
The Mr Clean one in the background had me laughing so hard
evilmegasteve which one is it?
This is just advice everyone! YOU are the one who picks your art style. Most of you say you are “bad” but we all know that if we have good practice we can get better! I don’t draw very well but that’s how I draw. You take your “bad” art style and make it better then it is! If you need to trace something to figure it out that is fine! Don’t lose hope and keep practicing ❤︎
My friend has a sharp sort of pop out style and I started developing my own style that is smoother and flowing that has smooth outlines
I've always loved the cartoonish-realistic hybrid styles, so I've been striving towards that. Getting closer and closer with each random animal sketch.
I wanna learn how to draw like jazza I love ur style
One of the best art styles to go for is the *SCOTT PILGRIM WAY OF ART STYLE*.
It's mostly western with an extremely subtle hint of japanese in it. (The art style i mean, if were talking japan, we've got the katayanagi twins for that who of course, are japanese)
sam buckaroo I sometimes draw like that.
Scott Pilgrims eye's creep me out..
sam buckaroo
sam buckaroo Fuck yeah
Yea boi
I don't have a style lol!!!! I've been drawing since I could pick things up. Anything that pops in my head I draw lol. I have to say don't try to find your style, it comes to you. Draw what you wanna draw not what someone wants you to!!!
Its a pity u are not doing drawing vids anymore, i only started back in drawing and love your stuff
Bottom right: Jeff Winger.

I like your style more D:<
My styles called “ crippling depression
My style is a combination between Cartoon-Comic. The anatomy is based on Comics and the Face is more on a cartoony style. It's not that good though.
TheCraftmachine same

i know ! my style wil be using lines without connection to make good drawings !
TheCraftmachine same
Me to! Dav Pilkey inspired me to have my art style and reading also writing
(I recently found out that my gym teacher has a tablet and now we spend lunch periods drawing ninja turtles and transformers)
so please don't waste your talent
Donna Johnson Thanks for the tablet suggestion, I didn't know if I should get one for years! :D And since I reconsidered wont waste my talent, especially with me able to upload my art to DevianArt. Have you watched the 80s TMNT cartoon I suggest you watch it. Love the art style and very entertaining.
Thank you so much! I am a beginner, aspiring, visual artist and I love the look of certain cartoons. This video gave me more insight into how I should go about learning and practicing art. thank you Jazza!
