- I mean. who expected to see Ancient Gear clap up Fiendsmith Snake Eye in round 6 of the NAWCQ? not me for sure.
but it did give me a new perspective on the deck, which brings us here. an update on one of the coolest deck designs of all time!

9:03 lol I only play 9 Ancient Gear monsters. The only thing you need to be able to do with this deck is summon one of the big fusion monsters and otk with them. Therefor I decided to only play a minimalistic amount of Ancient Gear monsters and play board breakers which keep your oponents monstes on the field but negate their effects like forbidden droplet and the sky striker cards. Also funnily enough when you have engage and a normalsummonable Ancient Gear monster you have full combo to otk. Kagari into Kaina + other machine monster into Ancient Gear Ballista is full otk

I've been playing Ancienct gear since I was a kid! I got back into yugioh last year, but I never picked up fortress because of how expensive it was, and now it's only going to get more expensive with the attention on them... oh noooooooooo xD
I've had mine since the structure deck came out. But yeah, it's gonna be tough to pick up a set now for sure
Should just bought the Structure Deck, even then it would still have been cheaper
I urge you to run 3 Fortress, 2 or more Urgent Schedule and 3 Forbidden Droplets.
3 fortress i agree with. Urgent Schedule isn't great in this build because the ones you summon aren't worth losing a slot for engine. Droplet maybe for the side board
@@DifferentDimensionGaming perhaps you're right about urgent schedule. It's always weird to me when I see people only running 2 fortress in a climate filled with handtraps and infinite negates.
This archetype is soo fun.
Fun fact: if Reactor Dragon attacks a equal or higher attack monster and is destroyed and sent to the graveyard it can still pop a spell/trap card.
Qliohirt genius second eff will become more useful once we get AG statue to use machine duplication

cool video, in my opinion i cut the big dragon 3000/3000 to 0, I love regulus in this deck is sooo good , mybe you can play forbiden dropplet its a cool bore braker, for the meta agme you can put 1 copy of abyss dweller, you can do the eff in the oponets turn and have more benefit whit the efect of Sargas. line 1 Sargas interruption, 1 abyss Dweller GY interruption and 1 omni negate Regulus.
The idea being that I'm letting the opponent have another turn? I'm going second and I'm taking your life points when I do

I haven't lost a match with this build yet, but we probably have different locals scenes. Out of curiosity. What would you cut for Droplet in case I want to test?
@@DifferentDimensionGaming Nice, that’s pretty good stats, due to the fact that at my locals, everyone is playing meta, like snake eye or despia etc., I don’t win every game, but at least 2 of 4 round I win, but it is really hard against those sweat heads meta players, sometimes I never win against all those meta decks, sometimes with luck, yes. So our build is quite the same, you could also check some replays on my channel, but I changed something of course. Nevertheless as I already mentioned, I would cut at least one magical hound, better two, cause he’s not thaaaat important, but important and I would also cut the reactor dragon; he is strong, but unfortunately too slow for the deck, while drawing it, it is just 1 loss, cause you could draw something you really need. You should also run 3 urgent schedules and I can’t remember, but do you have one Gizmek Taniguku (really good target for schedule with dark golem). For me personally, 2 talents are fine, not 3 and I also put lightning storm and harpie’s feather dust to side deck, even though they are really good, but I just need also potential help for the OTK lol
I'm shocked nobody is playing Naturia Beast in the extra. Hound plus one of your level 4's go into it.
Literally had to go and check to see if it was a tuner. This is insane that I never knew this

@bobby45825 Naturia Beast has saved me a lot of times, but I've also started to run Baronne since I mostly go second you can get Reactor Dragon and Hound out with Emergency Schedule then Hound comes back by returning one of their spells/traps
@@Touch-Grass-Now Baronne is just 1 omni and isn't the safer choice when forced to go first.

Well it is a box target, so even at 1 it is rather common.
Same as Anchor Drill.
I run 2 box because whenever I run only 1 I draw it!
I want to cut it so bad, but when it comes up, it's game defining

@themachinist3000 getting access to Duel or Fusion off Frame searches by Box is basically game entirely. Worst case scenario you use the box and the frame to make howitzer and burn for the last bit of damage you need
@@themachinist3000 I've searched magical hound off box before, and used it to synchro naturia beast on turn 1. Won me the game vs Runick
Need a hunting hound hes a poly and deals damage
Only on Normal summon and fusion is easier to search (Advance) and better using Golem or DG
We have gone much further than Hunting Hound my child
Hunting hound is still good and I still run 1
Urgent schedule why not?
You don't really need it, and the ones you summon off the effect you'd rather have the effect for.
The only 5s you can summon are Daek Golem and Reactor dragon
The only 4 worth summoning without am effect is Box
@@DifferentDimensionGaming disagree, if you summon Gizmek+Dark Golem (don't trigger the draw effect on summon) from Urgent Schedule, link summon both into ballista, you can summon a non-negated Dark Golem from graveyard by banishing gizmek. Urgent schedule is a 1 card combo to Dark Golem draw, which is your OTK enabler
I didn’t see the dark and was very confused for a bit trying to figure out how that worked with normal golem lol. I think I might have to use this combo in my earth machine deck and see how well it works. I might also look at putting it in my version of this deck when I assemble it. Thanks for the tip!!
I'D cut 2 dogs and the Rank10 extradeck toolkit.
Same with Merymaker and Underworld.
Add another ballista, and some Rank 8 toolkit. You can already punch through most, you do not need board breakers to that degree. Beef up your going first with an apo and some generic negates, also you can easily make Sargas without Merrymaker.
Add one Anchor Drill to the main deck (Drill into commander summon tanker plus box already gives 4 bodies and 2 lvl 8 for a Sargas)
Add a second box (This ain't earth machine. You can use a Garnet Box on your opening hand. But having only 1 bricks you)
Combo going first (avoiding nib):
Geartown + Advance / Catapult
Summon Wyvern + Dark Golem.
Search box anchor drill commander and tanker.
Discard one.
Normal anchor drill, summon commander.
Activate drill target wyvern. Overlay into NR 90 (nib protection)
Commander effect: summon tanker. Tanker summon box.
Ballista (box + dark golem) search geartown.
Nuke geartown with tanker. Summon Dark Golem, chain commander, summon golem.
Overlay into Sargas (Golem + DG). Get regulus.
Overlay into Gear giant X (tanker + commander)
Play regu. Attach box or the discard fodder. Activate Giant X, chain Sargas. Search wyvern, bounce the fodder to your hand (or advance).
Overlay Sargas, giant X and ballista into Apo (*3)
End board: Apo (3Negates) NR 90 (Monster negate) Sargas (Omni). Hand size: 4 (with wyvern for follow up) and a stacked GY for the new trap.
In the event that I am forced into going first, I'll just make a small board and be ready for the crack back. If they otk me, fine. Game 3 is mine

You use fusions. They're a flex spot in the extra deck. You can put whatever you want there tbh
