As the format evolves we shall see what board breaking cards hit a wider range of matchups as well as how ratios work best to give our game plan mote consistencey. Nice seeing you at nats too! The deck can definitely go the Raigeki/Dark hole route, I have found two ways of doing it: 1. Play 2 Ancient Gear Golem and make a 3 attack Megaton, this can be done with a one card combo using Wyvern, Advance or Frame. (Very easy, but 1 additional brick) 2. This one is more fluffy and requires a decent hand, but 2 level 4s into Merrymaker into Sargas, search and summon Regulus and now you just need to find 2400 for lethal.
I get why people don’t like playing ancient gear frame but I do feel like you need to play at least two just to guarantee getting yourself, those spells as quick as possible because I had it at locals a lot where I found myself not being able to get my spells easy. Then I added them in and it helped with consistency.
Fair enough, I can see myself playing 1-2 if need be to increase consistency. But Statue will do the same in a sense as it gets us to Wyvern / Dark Golem inherently without discarding cards until after adding with Golems effect. So it’s just a matter of holding out until then I feel.
Interesting list. But have you tried sky striker cards in the deck? They work very well as a board breaker approach. Because with this deck you want to keep the opponents monster on the board and just negate their effects. Also keep in mind to summon Chaos Ancient Gear Giant with AG fusion and Ultimate Golem with AG Duel. Because with duel you have to summon a monster which mentions the OG Golem which only Ultimate and Megaton do
I’ll have to mess around with that combination I used to play Sky Strikers in Trains and it was my favorite variant of the deck. Also yes I just got that engrained into my memory that Duel can only summon Ultimate & Megaton 🤙
Have you thought about playing cyber dragon nova and infinity because in my build I’m playing clockwork night and cyber dragon! Great build btw keep it up 👍🏿
@@barelyyugioh I’m making nova by ss cyber dragon and then tribute one of lvl 4 monsters that I already have on the field to summon ancient gear dragon to go into nova then infinity by turn 3 if im going second
Just wanna say that you cant use the trap to make chaos :( if you could it would probably make the deck a bit more effecient. It would also shut down tenpai probably. It can only make monsters that mentions golem. Its also why no one uses megaton. Since that was his upside, he just gets outclassed by howitzer and uagg. Though im not saying dont run it! Im in a ancient gear discord, so I peep at what people run. Though one question i can answer is explaining how bullet is a mandatory, and honestly its not. People actually prefer derricrane much more as it chain blocks and offers a better situation where ballista gets negated. When you chain block your starter wyvern/frame, it allows you to add advance. Once ballista gets negated, just tribute it with advance and use catapult to extend I dont wanna have you read so many paragraphs, but one tip id like to offer is using tanker and howitzer to your advantage. I dont believe howitzer summon effect is otp so when it dies, special tanker to summon howitzer. So that's four bodies they have to run over. Also remember the trap protects tanker Tanker can also reborn the fusions as well since it ignores summoning conditions Hope my tips can help, and if you want more, I can send a link to the server!
Thank you I really appreciate the insight. I’ve found Bullet to be less mandatory as well. Tanker seems very underrated so I agree there as well with his plays that he can do with the fusions. I’d be interested in the discord for sure
Megaton is the only fusion that can OTK when opponent has 0 monsters, although it does require you to either run an extra golem in deck or have an extra dark golem on field
@DonPatch97 that's true, but 1) no one is running 2 og golem. People are even deciding to cut him instead for efficiency. 2) The trap card makes it to where uagg does it better. Megaton just gets outclassed by howitzer and UAGG after the new support. The good thing is that it plays into nib, but uagg + trap you can't nib it
Anything generic that’s good at spot removal or that could have utility with your OTK. TY-PHON, Dweller, Gear Gigant X to search maybe. There’s a few options - but you want it to be something generic too a lot of SPs use in the deck comes from allowing you to get monsters into the GY by easily making her. Maybe IP depending on what else you play in the ED
