I don’t know if you take requests but I just became trustee of my dads living trust (he’s still alive but doesn’t feel comfortable managing it any more). Would love a video on what to watch out for in this particular case. I can’t be the only one in this position.
Our greedy trustee cost our parents estate 25% in litigation and the Estate Planner ran like a chicken. So we’re getting a Forgery Proof Administration Lawyer who protects the Trustees and Grantees should we become vulnerable. With the Counterfeit free Latin Law Model Interdiction Trust Empire College School of Law is getting around September.
All the duties of a Trustee I discuss in my video "Trustee's Guide to Administering Trust's After Death" will hold true here, except you wouldn't be making a big distribution at the end, but paying for things on a beneficiary's behalf - your dad. That is a good point, I should do a video on this topic so thank you for the idea! In short, however, just keep diligent records of what you're doing and spending money on and always do what is best for your dad, even ahead of your own interests.
Excellent presentation.
Thank you very much!
