To every open user out there, I have a tip that will improve your experience especially with outer display. And that is to set the display size to small from screen settings.

I'm using it. I upgraded from my base Pixel 8. This is the best foldable phone and trust me the camera outperforms my Pixel 8. 😊
The cameras have been amazing, been getting awesome shots. Oneplus did have a warning when you setup the phone to not press on screen/crease etc and that the hinge would have some sounds when opening/closing which was normal.
This phone is amazing ! I switched from z fold 4 and its the BEST decision ive personally made in at least 10years. The inside screen just totally blows my mind how beautiful it is 😊
does the screen make any noise when opening and does it still open all the way on the Open? Or didnt you have these issues with your Fold 4?
@@DTunezOfficial it snaps open but in a good way with no noise at all and yeah it still opens all the way no problem. The hinge failed on my crappy fold 4 hence why I ditched Samsung

The hinge noise is something that is not an issue it's just luck. The galaxy folds also had that on random devices. It's basically just getting unlucky with the cleaning brissels making noise. Had 2 fold 4s and one made noise, but the other didn't. Seen many times in the fold subreddit. My open makes a faint noise sometimes.
i usually use the inner screen opened at 5-15 degrees and love the feel of peeking at something , i think z fold 5 hinge mechanism is useful and superior?
How is the video size when opened when compared to an iphone pro max or ipad mini?

The sound comes from the screen protector. You probably only hear it every time you unfold it after a long time folded
I finally upgraded from galaxy 9. I noticed with Samsung I can group albums into one folder but with OnePlus cannot do that. Anyone know?
Ice had my open for about a week. Yesterday took it off the charger at 8am. By 8pm had 52% battery left with 5sot. Easily would have to at least 9hrs sot and that's on 5g att. With AOD on and brightness around 40%>. Not only best fold battery but beats out a lot of slab phones. On top of that cameras are good.. Best foldable hands down!!
There's no way you have issues seeing this screen in bright conditions and not those other phones... No way unless a defect. 🧢 and I wish you would've let us hear the sound you was talking about when using the hinge. Insightful review though!
amazing phone yes but it's not better then the fold 5 what the fold 5 has over it is samsung dex , samsung s pen support, one ui , better features, and better camera. the one plus open takes amazing regular photos but night pics aren't great and videos

I thought I head the "crackling" sound when I unfold and fold my OnePlus Open as well, but what it actually is are the displays switching. At least that is the case for me. If you pay attention, when the display switches from inside display to outside, or vice versa, it makes a little "crack" sound. I'm not sure why, but it's definitely not the hinge for me. If you unfold it quickly and wait, it will make that sound and then the inside display turns on. Same when you close the phone.
Does it not do it when the phone is off?

2 diff phones. Do you want a foldable or not? Majority of people don't even use or know how to use a foldable to its full potential

I ordered this phone last week for £1,180, taking advantage of the student discount and a coupon code. I've been eagerly awaiting the competition to catch up with Samsung, and the OnePlus Open is positioned right between the Fold 5 and the Google Pixel Fold. I'm really excited to use this phone; the multitasking feature is amazing and was the selling point for me. By the way, I'm coming from an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I've always been an Apple fanboy, lol.
ONE of the best foldable in the market? I don't know where you are sir. But here in the US, we only have 3 foldable to select from: One Plus Open, Samsung Fold5, and Pixel Fold. Out of the three, the One plus is easily the best one. There's no debate. Is it perfect? No. But compared feature by feature, hardware by hardware, spec by spec, the One Plus is easily the best foldable in North America.

Nobody wants to talk about the insurance on this device. Sucks! So if your phone suddenly stops working, they will not replace your phone they will only "REPAIR" the device. And it takes 7 to 14 days for them to fix it. Unfortunately i didn't know that till after i purchased the device. That is one flaw that i think they need to fix. With my Galaxy Fold my wifi stopped working and they overnighted a replacement device. That is the kind of service that we need in this day in time. 7-14 days is unacceptable.
How they would screw up haptics when 1+ 11 had the best I have tried yet.

You can't trust them, even their regular phones have quality issues after a year , They will not even bother that, so with fold, no way i m trusitng them. Had very bad experience with OP8

I also switched from the Fold 5 to the Oneplus and fully agree with you on the haptics and the hinge. They feel Really cheap. But man, that inner display makes up for so much as well as the speakers. And obviously the software isn't that polished and some bugs remain. Hoping the 14 update will change that
No phone is 100% perfect...hence adapting in using one plus open..

this is what makes me upset yall see a product do something new and thrn now its the best at it stop it the fold is the best multi tasking phone ever made its not close that means you can do more at one time. one plus open has a amazing multi tasking yes but it's not nowhere near better then the fold 5 you can have 5 apps open at one time you can go right in to multi tasking from the notification panel like it's so much the fold 5 can do more thrn the one plus open maybe you truly don't know what thr fold 5 can do with multi tasking 🤔
