They are surprisingly common. Burpee even sells (low) alkaloid varieties of somniferum at Wal-Mart. I've read a single pod can yield a 1000 seeds. Looking to plant a few, this year to garantee my future seeds.

I had almost 100% germination rate planting seeds I had used for tea; the minutes' immersion must have worked. Oh, hope you bought a bunch; some poor, bad luck, stupid guy died and his mom raised hell and it's over.

Good video, man. Was addicted to poppy tea for a few years and was able to ditch it after starting kratom, thankfully. Careful, boys and girls.

@@timeye7684 dude it doesn't matter just dabble around and see how much works for you. Take a spoonful or more as needed whenever and go at your own pace....its not like you can overdose on Kratom. You can get the wobbles from large amounts but if you're a poppy tea user probably wont encounter that.

Yep been there, done that (but no longer)... I used a cold wash/extraction really no need to actually boil them just takes a bit longer. Also bit of warning for anyone venturing into this territory. Depending on what country the seeds are from dictates their potency. UK seeds are particularly strong and more expensive while the Spanish varieties will do the trick but seem to be half as potent, but also about half the price.
