I was lucky enough to see a set of these for sale as he had won them so I took a chance and payed £400 for them...boxed and still in the wrappers. Played 4 rounds with them now and absolutely love them. Pretty forgiving and when you flush one out the middle feel amazing!
I think the 101T are more like the P770 and the 101s are closer to the P790

@@colejurek1406 The 101s are designed to be very similar to the P790s, given their status as the best selling players distance irons. They are both hollow body irons and have very similar head sizes with blade lengths at 79.5mm and 79mm. The lofts (30 vs. 30.5), lie (both 62.5) and offset are all very similar although Takomo have slightly more offset in the longer irons and less offset in the 9-PW. On stock shafts the KBS Tour Lite shaft is almost identical to the Dynamic Gold 105 shaft as well.
The 101Ts are smaller headed irons just like the P770 with blade lengths of 75mm and 77mm respectively and both have more loft and less offset than their bigger brothers.
Does this mean the 101s are a tad more forgiving than the 101Ts?

Really looking into these. Mainly because I want the blade look, but also want forgiveness and distance. It doesn’t hurt that I can buy these for a great price
I purchased a set of the 101T, They are a beautiful & awesome felling club-no regets.
I've been playing the 101s for a few months now. They have greatly improved the look of my game. My shots are definitely higher, straighter and more consistent. Unfortunately, I am a high handicapper, and my game has only improved 4-5 strokes per round. I'm basically playing a much better-looking poor game of golf. I am practicing to improve the quality as well as the appearance of my game. I did add two Skyforger wedges, which are wonderful as well.
Would you say they are more forgiving than Apex Pro?

The problem with Takomo is the sets are all 4I to PW, they do not offer any other options.
This is the reason I won't buy a set.
Have you asked them if they will do other options?
Exactly, other issue is that they are constantly on UA-cam 😂

They will sell them 5 down. You’re not required to buy the 4.
I could never buy a set of clubs without hitting them first. However cheap they are or nice they look.
Ive played the 201s for over a year now and like you Lee I knew my specs and honestly I wouldnt be bothered with the so called big brands again
I’ve been contemplating these for several months, watching multiple reviews and I haven’t pulled the trigger.
My issue is not knowing my specs, I can’t remember what they were as it was years ago.

I can do mate yeah. It’s not my studio so would have to charge a £25 fitting charge but you could also try these out prior too.
Lee I have just been fitted for a lovely set of titleist T200 irons with the amt red stiff shafts they are over £1000.How do you think these compare to the titleist.Ive seen some reports saying the 101Ts aren’t that well made.Thanks my friend your thoughts would help👍⛳️🏌🏿♂️
All golf clubs are massively overpriced.. £350 plus for putters , a shaft and grip stuck in a cast or CNC milled head

They seem to be similar to the Ben Hogan pro irons….same shafts and grips and fitting options. Could be a good alternative to the Hogan which has closed down. I’d be interested in their hybrids.
Before buying Takomo, be mindful of the import tax for UK, l bought the 301 CB’s for £565 and had to pay an additional cost of £130 on top, so total cost is £695.

How can i acquire a set of these irons
I currently play 2017 Taylormade M2's. They're a big fat chunky iron and I want something with a slimmer look. My uncle recently started playing the Tour Edge 722's which are hollowbody and very close to the Taylormade P770/790 range in head size and top line thickness. Would you say the 101T's have a similar look? I also don't need a huge amount of offset so hearing that the 101T only has a slight offset is appealing in itself...
Hi Lee. Why did you not try the 201s. Would be interested in a comparison. I am certainly interested, was looking at p790s but these seem a real alternative. However would like to try before buying.

I play PXG gen 3. Im planning new irons and was jumping into gen 6. Love feel and how PXG play. but they are nearly three times. Have you by any chance tried these and PXG? Or are am I being a dick and just order a set. I am an advertisers joy
PXG don’t send us stuff to test so never tried them I’m afraid

If you are not getting custom fit or want to use that as a reference point why not go 2nd hand?
Buying second hand, if you buy clubs from someone that are set 2 deg flat and you need standard it can be a big deal.

Only one shaft manufacturer offered. Hence the so called low price. Happy with my Titleist 620 MB combo with T100 long irons with project -X 6.5 rifle shafts 👌👌

No, you can go to customize and get other shaft options.
The website is a bit quirky. If you look at the shaft choice before entering all of the data prior to it, you usually see only the KBS. However, if you enter the data in order, you have a large selection of shafts.
How's the "feel" in the 101t? Using the t300 and want some new irons with more feel.

Preowned set of Ping i500/525’s better bet but congrats to Takomo for good alternative.
I would have bought a set of 101ts but I got my p790s a year ago an won’t change them especially when I’ve not seen them plus the shafts I like the charge 100 dollars extra
You say don't like hitting the 4 iron Lee, but to be fair, at 22 deg of loft, that is really a 3 iron in old money !
They aren't half the price of a used set of P790's and I would take the 790s 100 times out of 100 over some straight to consumer money grab.
