"Busiest street" -- there's hardly any people or even much traffic. Maybe it's just the time of day? Are the streets usually packed during rush hour? The city looks quite nice though.
Atlanta is a city on schedule yall, this video looks like it was recorded either really early in the morning or during the day while everybody is at work. This same area at 3pm will be one of the busiest areas because a lot of ppl come through this area to get to other parts of the city.
If you're comparing Atlanta to a smaller city, yes, Atlanta would look like New York to most, but for people coming from New York, DC, Chicago, SF, Philly, LA, Atlanta is a joke. trust me, the ONLY reason this area is busy on ANY level is because people are driving to and from work. This area is not busy because it's a lively area. The only people you have walking in this area are the few tourists. Mostly everyone else you see walking through this area are homeless people and college students because Georgia St University has their campus in and around the area. NOBODY walks in Atlanta.
I live in Europe, and i am curious why American cities are so empty? Cities here in Europe are packed with people on the streets. Only NYC is always like hive. Can someone explain me? Btw, Atlanta looks very nice, would love to visit it one day 😊
He’s in the business district of a 131 square mile city. People drive here, it’s culturally ingrained. Public transportation was pushed aside in favor of cars back in the 20’s so it’s impractical to get around on foot or by train. For the past 100 years our city was created against walking. Trust me, most people living here would love if things were more walking accessible.
Downtown Atlanta is desolate. There are only homeless and otherwise loitering, sketchy people. NY, Chicago, Boston, and DC have vibrant downtowns. Midtown and Buckhead are the best parts of Atlanta.
Buckhead is culturally dead with more out of touch rich folk than I could shake a stick at on top of having absolutely no entertainment value beyond overpriced food. Midtown has the worthwhile art district but judging by your attitude I would assume you just want an expensive bar to drink at. Try experiencing this city for what it is and stop spitting venom: do better.

I don't get it. Are american cities always so empty? Compared to asian or european cities, american cities look more like a cementery
