#drake #lilwayne #hiphop
it means that dot fans dont want to give any credit to drizzy lol
Its no secret drake helped mold Wayne's song structure style. Style patterns will pass As long as its not word for word weezy should be ahight
*owl is goku killing all these androids*
😂😂😂😂 i don't see youtubers making a video about this one....
Drake is the g.o.a.t❤😂😂
I assumed this was common knowledge?... When this song released Im 100% certain this was the talk back then.
Same
Naw it wasn’t talked about
It was talked about..most of these ppl on the internet are new fans.. If they were tuned in during the time the song out, they would’ve saw drake performing the song at his shows, and in an interview he even said wayne heard the song among others and said its his now and that he cant say no to wayne…its the music business. Its been going on. That was why when on the interview with drake and elliot, he said if i have to be the poster child for reference tracks then so be it. He was alluding to how its a common practice in the music industry.
Drake the 🐐. Wayne’s top 5 all time also . 2 🐐s
@Professorxrh17 the goat at what because at this time, we know for a fact that he has ghostwriters
@@dbigboy100 HITS. The GOAT of hits. Also there is a difference between co
Writers and ghostwriters. Bro has 600 songs and there Are like 8 FULLY CREDITED Co writers . Also he’s written many songs for other people .
@@Professorxrh17 you're right there is a difference between ghost writers and co-writers there has been nobody who has said that they seen him write a song for them everybody who has said it has said that he sent them a song we don't know who wrote those songs the simple fact if you were that great of a writer why would you ever need ghost writers not to mention when people are writing for him he's taking the whole song He's not adding nothing of his own to it truth is he's a pop singer and there's nothing the matter with having ghost writers and pop and R&B but in Hip Hop most people frowned upon Ghost writers
@@dbigboy100 true but again it’s not ghostwriting lol. Drakes writing , ironically enough is his best skill lol
@Professorxrh17 he has ghostwriters recently more and more refrence tracks have been leaked even his 1st hit your the best was stolen the artist spoke out with proof that Drake took his song at this point we don't really know if Drake ever wrote anything
The audience is not slow we know Wayne's abilities very well.
“They make excuses for ya cuz they hate to see me lit”
Yes he did! It is known that Drake writes for people. 🤷
Drake has written for Kanye West multiple times.
Songwriting collaborations are normal in hip-hop, especially when an artist is making an album.
The powers that be just want everyone to devalue Drake right now. He's getting the treatment Justin Bieber used to get in the past.
Kayne said he sent a song to drake and drake sent it back that doesn't prove drake wrote it that's could mean even when drake ghostwrites for people that his ghostwriters do it and just don't get the credit
@dbigboy100 There has never been proof of Drake having 'ghostwriters'. That rumour started from a rap beef with Meek Mill. It was never proven and the people who normally get called Drake's ghostwriters, such as Daylight, have always denied ghostwriting for him.
Drake does write some songs with other people, especially people who are part of his label, though. That's part of having a team and something you'd expect to do to stay relevant for as long as him.
Incidentally, he officially gives people credit when they are co-writers of his songs.
@appearoffline not sure where u been but there is alot of proof it 1st came out when dj drama gave meek the reference track that Quentin Miller did for two of Drake songs since then there's been a couple other reference tracks that came out like the one somebody did for Mob ties and daylight has admitted that he was the ghostwriter for the Meek Mill's diss tracks and this is why Kendrick Lamar said in his diss Track Your Best song was a light pack which was a reference to Daylight writing the diss track. The proof is all over UA-cam
@@dbigboy100 Watch Quentin Millers's interview about 'co-writing' on 5 songs with Drake on V l a d T V. He said they "bounced ideas" off each other via email and they wrote one song together in person.
Quentin was officially credited for the songs he talked about in the interview. If he was a ghostwriter, he wouldn't have received credit for writing with Drake.
I'm not sure if you are saying Daylight wrote for Meek Mill, but Daylyt was interviewed about writing for Drake on R a p G r i d and he denied it.
@appearoffline no I'm saying daylyt has admitted for writing drake track back to back the track when Drake diss meek mill he said he's talking about it now because he wasn't paid properly for it and Kendrick said the drake best track was a light pack because daylyt wrote the song for drake and Quentin is credited because he's wrote the whole song a few songs for drake look up the refrence tracks for yourself Quentin is rapping the songs that he sent to drake Drake took the sing and rapped it back word for word on the same beat that's not co-writing that's Quentin is his ghostwriter atleast was 1 of them and the refrence track for Mob ties has since came out that's another song that was wrote and drake took it word for word with the same beat people didn't want to tell the truth because they hoped to get paid more once that didn't happen now everyone is exposing they wrote for him I almost for a refrence track that lul yatchty did for drake was also leaked
Damage control
Cope, drake prolly wrote ur fav rappers biggest song. 💀😂
@@Wartinezzz How come his reference tracks are just now surfacing then? He's been getting accused of not writing his own shit since the Meek Mill beef.
This will be the number one comment on this video
@@DeeMulaahThis has been out it's just brought back to light to remind chicken brains that he actually writes for people too lol collaborative writing is a normal thing in music. Biggy, nas, meek mill even Kenny have writers lol
@@neoleso4020 Him writing for others doesn't excuse him for not writing his own shit lol.
Being that 40 produced this, my theory is Drake originally was writing and recording to this beat, Wayne heard it, and was like, “let me get that from you”, added his verses while re-recording the already existing Drake lines, and that’s it. Nothing too crazy. Pretty standard for the music industry
We all kinda knew, song sounds like drakes flow on “money to blow” and playball (4 my town)
Drake WAS on the original.
Drake used to wrote for Kanye West too
No.. the bigger question here is.. who leaked it ?
Weezy and drizzy sound very similar back in 09
This was absolutely drakes style at this time the song came out . Drake definitely wrote this and it’s been rumored since forever Drake has written for Wayne
he wrote many songs for Kanye
T Pain wrote for Lil Wayne too
But they crucify drake for it smh.
@@Wartinezzz it was The R&B song How to love.
@@WartinezzzWayne never had anyone write whole verses for him stop trying to tear down Wayne to up lift drake Wayne gave you people drake leave him tf alone
Drake wrote R&B tracks for Wayne. Helping him sing… not raps… as he did with Kanye…
“They make excuses for ya cuz they hate to see me lit”
@@Wartinezzzwhat song is that
That soft shit definitely sounds like Drake. It's like that "With You" song on Lil Wayne's I'm not a Human being album. I need OVO to leak a lil wayne banger like 10 Bands or Mob Ties so I can properly cancel Wayne from my top MCs list.
Why not play the whole reference track? Does it not support the whole agenda OVO is pushing right now?
Bro Artists do this for each other all the time. Why is this such a big deal 😂
Not rappers this actually is frowned upon by rappers this is why you hear rappers brag about not writing at all or how fast they can write a song it's almost like a badge of honor to write your own stuff
@dbigboy100 sadly we may be in a new era of hip hop where ghostwriting is a new normal
@Xenoreturns I think there's still hope for rappers just because ghostwriters are still being hidden and in most cases the rapper tries to downplay the ghostwriter as a co-writier who helped a little with the song so even they know it's still frowned at so they hide it
@@dbigboy100biggie also had writers even nas had credited writers on some of his albums it's always been a thing since the 90's kendrick too and non of yall never looked at them dirty lol that's because you lot choose who to hate how about hold everyone to the same leve of accountability and stop being hypocrites.
@neoleso4020 these rappers had co-writiers not ghostwriters you could give 1 word and get co-writing credit it's not the same as someone writing the whole song and recording it and you recording it just in your voice. Drake has ghostwriters they write every word and record the song then send it to him all he does is re-record as we see with these references tracks
Drake was on the hook & then removed from the track all together bcuz it sounds better in Wayne voice.
right bruh, you seem to be the only one who remembers that.
I think people will try to change the narrative but call a spade a spade. If you knock Drake for it then you gotta credit Drake as well for all the songs he wrote for everyone else. To be honest I think he even wrote 6 foot 7 foot and how to love, etc. No evidence but there’s certain parts that sound like Drake.
Lmao he did not write 6foot 7foot too much bars if he wrote how to love that’s cool it’s a fuckin love song even single is a love song u get no credit for writing RNB only real rap songs
Yeah, it sounds similar to Drake because Drake got that style of punchlines from Wayne😂
@@DeeMulaah no he didn’t. You can see videos of drake freestyling like that before ever meeting Wayne and Wayne didn’t rap like that before
@@Marcus-xu7hn He didn't have to meet Wayne yet to be influenced by him. Wayne had quite a few styles throughout his career. He's been rapping since he was a kid. You can deny it all you want, but early on in his rap career, you hear Waynes style very clearly in Drakes verses.
@@DeeMulaah I already knew that’s what you would try to say and that’s why I said “you can hear Drake rapping like that before meeting Wayne and before Wayne himself started rapping like that” all the way back in 2005-2006 when he actually met Drake. And we can hear a very different Wayne from Carter II and Carters 3 and 4. Like I said there’s no evidence, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
We have numerous Wayne studio session videos how many studio sessions do we have of drake?
I bet the Drake stans, not the fans, will make this reference track as a "gotcha" moment soon as it spreads more on the Internet.
Facts I promise a drake leaked diss hoping they king would get credit if anything if gonna tear down Wayne can't stand drake fan bruh
How do we know wayne didn't write that for Drake and decided not to use drake doing it
cause its been said that Lil Wayne took this song from Drake lol. This aint new info, the reference track just got out but this has been known.
Drake also wrote how to love as well
@@2431-q5b no he didn’t, detail wrote how to love.
“They make excuses for ya cuz they hate to see me lit”
@@2431-q5bReally?
This does not change anything lol. Lil Wayne doesn’t write,Wayne doesn’t tell you stories in his songs he talks about pussy, guns & being gangsta. We’re really going come at Wayne for allowing drake to help him in the studio. There’s a difference between getting help from a friend in the studio (which he’s still credited as a feature and a writer) and using other ppl lyrics & passing it as your own. If drake has written for so many artists and given them songs then why hasn’t those tracks surfaced but a lil wayne(friend) reference drop yeah okay. Also for all we know lil Wayne gave him the lyrics but Wayne needed some help on how to use them on this kind of beat which is okay everybody don’t how to do everything.
If you are here in 2024 and still in denial after all the proof that Drake has ghostwriters you have either been living under a rock or your a fanatic and probably love Drake more than you do yourself because that's the only way you can continue that he doesn't have ghostwriters. The fact he does is ok when you acknowledge that he's a pop artist not a true rapper
When you acknowledge that lip stand is a pop artist an not a rapper an had people write stuff for him you will be ok
How we know wayne ain't write it for drake ?
are you stupid?
Drake is on that song as a credited writer. You make no sense .
@@azma775 chorus
@@Mikejones-zg6xgon the credits is says Drake just wrote the hook ? No
You can hear it and can tell Drake wrote this for Wayne that doesn’t matter tho. Wayne let Drake eat. The issue is Drake keeps artist down and makes it seem like he is a genius.
“They make excuses for ya cuz they hate to see me lit”
Somebody wrote that for Drake and then Drake gave it to Lil Wayne
🤡
I’m unsubbing Wayne don’t write lyrics fam
