  • Child Protective Services. Tim encounters cat urine and feces everywhere in a home, what does he do?
Hi it's TINA and TIM again and we're still on the same topic regarding child protective services so what happens when you go into a home and the smell of cat urine or dog urine and feces are all over the place what can you do in that type of circumstance where it's so overwhelming and maybe the report that came in didn't involve that so I've actually had this happen had a report come in it was called inadequate guardianship meaning they weren't really watching the child like they should I got to the home the home had 20 cats you could smell the ammonia before you even got in the home once I did get in the home there was feces from the animals and stuff laying around and we were looking at a child who was three uh so that home is a danger and poses a risk to that family so what happened was we then did what's called an immediate emergency removal uh the family had to vacate the home the child was not allowed back in now the didn't take the child the family could take the child and go somewhere with another family or a hotel and then they're given a certain amount of time to clean and rectify the problem before they can go back in or bring the child back wow that's really good to know because sometimes people think it's punitive when in fact you're there to help remember tune in next time to TINA and TIM on E-Court coach like our page and remember to subscribe
