I just realized that the reason I clicked your videos in the first place was due to how clear you were with your title in what the video was about. The titles are straight to the point
@@MrLiquidxIce Ted talks are 18 minutes long because studies show that that is the ideal time to get a message across to an audience without losing their attention and then being able to take it all in. So, he is in that ballpark.
"The more you put in and the more space you give yourself the more that creative flow become unblocked and you will start write more freely" -Sean Tucker . Golden words . Thank you
I've got to say, I really think you've filled a gap in the market. You really are one of the only people on UA-cam I've found that is truly genuine about the information they're providing. You don't act superior in any way to anyone else, and even though many many people idolize you, you make it clear that we are all taking the same journey, it's only the path we take that makes us different. You're probably the only UA-camr I've ever come across that can just speak for 20 minutes and I want to hear every word. That's because you're genuine, you have no agenda, you just seem to want to share your experience with the world. You also create content at an easily digestible pace. The fact that you post monthly instead of daily is incredibly respectable because it means you're willing to take time to create valuable content. You're not just in it for the views. Please keep doing what you're doing, your words somehow bring a sense of relief to the world. Your honesty is admirable.
I almost didn’t watch this video because I will never create a UA-cam channel, but I watched anyway because I enjoy your delivery. I’m glad I did because the content is relevant for a lot of other applications, such as writing, speaking, or even as simple as teaching lessons to your children.
I think the channels that have a scripted format are the channels that offer the most information, just think every video essentially you're writing an essay with a introduction statement, a proposal for your thesis + the body and rebuttals it's truly a work of beauty! I script most of my videos but Sean you've inspired me so much today man. You're a blessing, thank you.
When I was a teacher, I used to tell my students what I was going to tell them, then I'd tell them, then I'd tell them what I just told them. On a good day, each telling would add new insight.
You're absolutely a legend. I can't believe that I asked for you to share your process on the way you make your art and share your views with the world - and you did! You truly are an inspiration and will continue to be an inspiration to artists, musicians, photographers, filmmakers, designers, philosophers and everything else in between.
Sean: So timely. I just went out to make a video this morning and was frustrated with my inability to speak. Having been a teacher for 15 years I’m still surprised how awkward I feel talking to a camera. Thanks again, I feel like you hear my questions sometimes. Funny how the universe works. Very lucky to have you here, you’re the chef that just gave away the secret recipe for the betterment of the craft. That’s how I know you’ll be successful. You did a big thing here. Thanks again Sean!
I've watched this video 4 times in the last 2 weeks. I've been looking for a way to express my message that suits me. Most UA-camrs... Hook 3-6 seconds, intro 4-7 seconds, script, call to action, outro 4-7 seconds, end screen 4-20 seconds! This approach resonates with me. Especially the idea of a Benediction. I'm giving advice to small business owners, we have it pretty tough so a moment to let them know I want them to succeed... Well, it's something I would have liked when I was starting out! I have a hunch I'll be back to this exact video several times as I'm developing my style. Thank you :)
"Work out how you speak, Saying things the way that you would say them, so people actually get the feeling that you care what you're saying" This literally brought me to tears. This is all i needed to hear honestly.
I think one of the things I appreciate most about your style / output is that you have that ability to actually inspire people to try to be better. I'be got a photography background from a young age, and the UA-cam side of things is newer to me. There's a million people out there who can give on-the-nose technique advice [Click this, then that]. It's a lot harder to have the ability to compel people to *be better,* and I appreciate that. Thanks for the work.
Truly an exceptional video. I am returning to the cameras after a multi-decade hiatus while I lived in Internet World. The phenomena of UA-cam has brought me back. 99% of YT "camera related" videos are "gear" related and I have watched a few hundred over the last few weeks. To find a video like this amongst them was a surprise. I will say your "benediction" part of the 3 "acts" really inspired me to think about this return of mine differently. My original motivation was mainly business related but after watching this I realize this journey can (and will) be so much more. Thank you Sean.
Stand tall today, Sean. The value you are providing to the UA-cam community is beyond any metric. Your authentic pursuit of a meaningful life is refreshing and inspiring. May you continue on your path and keep letting the rest follow along. Cheers!
In times where vlogging is nearly dead, the Tipps in this video becomes much more important than 4 years ago. Watched this video many times for the last years and every time I can get some more information out of it because of new experiences I’ve made. Thanks Sean 🙏🏻
Agree with all the positive reviews here. I can feel that you are honest and don't have desire to sell something or hide the knowledge you have and try to hook people for some costly courses as some other people do. And your videos really show how hard you work on them. I was searching for how to write a script for my videos. Couldn't find satisfying answer anywhere else other than this video. Yes, when you memorize a script it turns out to be dry with no feelings. If you don't write the script down then you will stumble and miss the points you were thinking about. Thank you Sean!
This video was beyond helpful. I don't script my videos and it's always hurt me in how long it takes to make them. I've avoided scripting because I want my videos to feel genuine, but scripting and doing what you said by reading them once over before filming a few takes sounds like it'd really help me out. Thanks so much, Sean.
No other youtuber make me feel the same way when i do watching Sean's videos. It is like he is talking something i wanted to hear all the time. Thank you for your work
Utterly inspiring and such a perfect message for us creative types. You said so many timely and brilliant things in this video, for instance: "You will start in winter because all change does, really, but springtime will come. You just have to ride it out until the seasons change." I can't tell you how true this is for me now. I am most grateful for your authentic voice and appreciate your perspective.
Can't express clearly enough Sean just how perfect this channel is at this time in my life. Your content resonates beautifully and I think about your messages long after the video is over. Thank you!
The final words he gave us really moved me and I almost cried, but then I started thanking the sponsor. I'm grateful Squarespace helped him make this video, though.
I like how you speak to the camera. It does not feel like a robot, it feels well structured and natural. So - well done, whatever you had on your script for this episode was a great help in delivering this.
I really appreciate the simplicity of your style. I have gotten used to youtubers having this super bubbly attitude... sometimes it's even hard for me to watch because I'm just not like that. You just being straight forward... and simply you makes watching really enjoyable
Not at all interested in creating youtube videos and writing scripts, still watched the complete video just because I love to listen to you and there are always life lessons present in your videos no matter what the topic is.
The benediction... the way you describe its use is the most brilliant that I've seen in a long time. For the day job, I do a podcast every two weeks. I'm glad to say that my method is not too far off of yours for script development. But I've always felt lacking in my closings. Your method of "benediction" has really given me something to develop in my own way. Thank you for that. Now that you've talked about it, I can now see one of the big reasons that your videos resonate with me so well, that benediction. You create incredibly engaging content, then wrap it up in a way that makes me feel good about what I've just watched and motivates me to go out and apply what you've taught.
Sean a great video and as someone who has recently retired from spending my life in talking to people I recognise that you impart wisdom with clarity and artistry . That is education. Like most bloggers you have complete control of your output and scripting means that subconsciously or even consciously you vet or even perhaps censor output and leave certain things unsaid. True conversation is the only way to bring this out
This is the channel I never knew I needed. Every word an meaningful, and to be honest, a scripted video is soooo refreshing. Really love every second of your work.
Thank you Sean! This will very much help me making something bigger than just "tutorial videos", and actually help me better help and develop a connection with my audience. Your videos are a blessing ❤
This was indeed time well spent. I feel as though we have had a personal meeting. This is the second time I have listened to this program, I am moved by your tone, the depth of feeling in your words. I am your polar opposite, if I put discipline out the door, I could speak for hours. My mind is always out in front of me putting the next thought together. It works, I speak well and with intention. You have helped me to consider I could do better. I shall begin to put pen to paper my next UA-cam offering shall follow order, content will trump creativity. Thank you. I believe you have become one of the crafters of who I am becoming.
Thank you so much for this Sean. I was just looking for some tips on writing my scripts but your words really connected with me, especially the part about ruminating and wanting to share our journey with our audiences that they may leave with something learned
You are a teacher. As you say toward the end, the pointers you shared are useful for public speaking of any kind as well. And when you said you can share your method to help others get started creating similar content, but you cannot comment on what style anyone else should take on since it should reflect each individual's style, that each creator's work should reflect who the are? Dam. Wonderful. No surprise, though.
I just happen to see the topic of this webpage on the day that I wanted to write my script. With all the anxiety of a new untried UA-camr, your formulas were sent from heaven just for me. At least it has felt that way for me. Thank you for all of the presentation you've given. It has been inspirational.
I love how honest you are about how the channel a segue to broader life lessons.I think thats why I keep watching. Youve made me really start think about capturing stories and emotions when i press the shutter.
Sean Tucker, thanks. For one, I appreciate the depth you add to your messages. I love photography. Deeply. I also love writing, perhaps, even more. I'm also a human being trying to find my way in this world. No interest I have is ever exclusive from my human condition. True for everyone, if we're willing to be honest with ourselves. Like you, I spent time in the church. Unlike you, my experience wasn't as positive. Still, I enjoyed crafting messages and learning to be intentional with my words; infusing hope and positivity. So, thank you. I hear you. Keep doing what you do, and how you do it. I appreciate your heart.
Thank-you Sean. I resonate deeply with the way you think, and am grateful for how intentional you are as a communicator. I look forward to experimenting with the layout you’ve shared.
Thank you Sean! For all you do. I’ve read your book I watched your videos. I am at the point of my life where I am thinking of starting my own UA-cam channel. I have figured out what I want my channel to be about, but in preparation for getting it started I returned to your channel as you are the voice I trust. You are very wise and extremely inspirational. Thank you very much!
The thoughtful qualities of your videos is what drew me to your channel in the first place. I'm not surprised you script your videos. I wish more youtubers would because I'm fed up with all the meanding streams of consciousness that other users put up. A little preparation goes a long way.
Sean, I commend you. There's a lot - and I mean a lot - of UA-camrs out there on the moment focusing on width rather than depth. Frequent uploads, 10's of platforms and all sorts of products and presets. But they lack depth. Depth is something I really hunt for in the media I consume, and yours is some of the deepest out there. Keep creating man, I'm really enjoying what you're doing.
The timing for UA-cam to recommend this to me is perfect. My channel is speaking to Entrepreneurs and small business owners. It's a struggle building a business from scratch especially if you boot strap... This idea of "benediction," I hear that as encouragement for those watching at the end of the video. This is something every business owner needs and something I intend to incorporate from now on. Thank you!
Sean - your videos are so powerful. Your ability to communicate philosophical ideas is second to none - you are the Brian Cox of your world (Brian Cox can make the most complicated of scientific concepts and make them relateable to us mere mortals). Keep the videos coming,
This is a video that I come back to time and time again. I try to take inspiration from the tone, as well as the specific advice. My implementation is, at best, inconsistent, and I try to not just copy the techniques and delivery. Hopefully, one day, I'll find my voice and get comfortable. Thank you!
Sean, you are a very unique and special individual and we are all very fortunate to have your share your talents with us. Now I can see why I enjoy your videos so much. I would add that another thing you do with your videos is that you are thoughtful about your aesthetic vernacular - your visual interfacing in it's totality after the shots, the grading, and the typeface is all combined. I think this is just as key as the writing. It all has purpose and that comes across. It grants you a tremendous amount of trust from your audience - that their time with you is well spent, and that you are a credible human being.
Absolutely agree with you Sean regarding the filming of a lucid piece to camera. Whenever I blab to camera, it usually progresses into a ramble. Scripting, is the professional way to go, although until recently, I’ve never employed it. Once you go off on a tangent, it’s very hard to find your way back and does cause headaches trying to make sense of it in the editing suite! Keep up the good work!
I have no intention of starting UA-cam channel and I still found this video to be interesting and inspiring. I occasionally teach seminars and am always looking for ways to improve my presentation. I enjoy your philosophical approach in all your videos and I'm so glad I found your channel!
Dear Sean: I always learn so much with you. Now I am astonished for the honesty of your comments and the will of sharing your secrets and creative process. I ussually leave myseilf time to evolve and mature ideas, and despite the fact that I can look pretty much as a sleeping pasive giant golem, through this kind of message I understand that I am still learning, in a less evident and exterior way. And the metafore about "ruminate", though not very delicious, it´s extremely precise.
I've seen this video once before, and you couldn't make it more clear on your message. it has helped me think about how to structure my own videos. Putting into practice hasn't been the most successful so far (granted I've only made 3 videos). So I gave this video another watch and I feel it's refreshed my vision of the content I want to make. Thank you so much for all the advice you give.
This is so helpful, it explains to me why I have been disheartened by so much on youtube on important topics... a lot of people are creating videos on important topics before they really have much knowledge and before they have ruminated on the things they are saying. They haven't read enough about them and just ramble. I would love to learn this skill also... so thank you for your concise and well planned conversation about this.
I just found your channel about a month ago, and I love it. I've watched all your videos now. Your thoughtful approach is very refreshing, and it's one of the few I've seen on UA-cam that emphasizes what goes on in the photographer's mind rather than in their camera. Thanks for the sermons!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am in the process of trying to get a channel started. I've made a few videos that I've thrown out but learned from. You gave some great tips, and most importantly, after watching your video, I feel less nervous about the process. I'm more excited and less hesitant. I had planned to end the videos the same way with an encouragement to anyone who has watched the video, but I love the idea of wording it "May you..." That is such a sweet way to end the videos and hopefully truly encourage others. Thank you so much brother. You have made an impact on at least one person, but I would guess quite a few others.
Every time I say I am finally putting out my YT channel I come across such good content like yours Sean and instead of being inspired I only start to feel so small and before I know thats another week gone by. All this to say, great work! I really enjoyed your video and have subscribed to your channel. Thank you for your positive contribution to the human family!
Creating enough mental space is a very important point in your video. The brain needs space to wander, contemplate, create, see patterns and make connections. That’s hard when being bombarded with aural and visual information. Showers may be one of the last respites, and with Bluetooth speaker shower heads even that’s probably declining as a quiet space...
Very helpful, Sean. As a long time Toastmaster, I wholeheartedly agreed with your method of speaking and preparation. Now to develop my unique UA-cam style.
Obviously a little late to the party on this video but still wanted to say thank you - so validating, and it absolutely feels like you walk your talk. Really inspirational. Thanks Sean.

Hi Sean, This was by far the best video I have seen on scripting videos. I mean you bring something that I have not yet seen on YT for YT. Your videos are great.
Thank you so much! I have camera shyness and have been strictly doing voice-overs. I am trying to get into speaking directly and this was very helpful.

This was excellent. Thank you, Sean.
And this is why there's a half a million subs on this channel.
Great video, appreciate what you shared! As a Capetonian, there is nothing more energising than a coffee while enjoying the Mother City's beauty.
The thoughtful qualities of your videos is what drew me to your channel in the first place. I'm not surprised you script your videos. I wish more youtubers would because I'm fed up with all the meanding streams of consciousness that other users put up. A little preparation goes a long way.
I have watched one of your content, it's really perfect, infact,I like your updates, very comprehensible
Thanks Ben. I appreciate that.
Thank you!
Yes!! A person's style is their own calling card.🙌🏼
Sean - your videos are so powerful. Your ability to communicate philosophical ideas is second to none - you are the Brian Cox of your world (Brian Cox can make the most complicated of scientific concepts and make them relateable to us mere mortals). Keep the videos coming,
By far one of the best channels on UA-cam! Great work.
This isn’t just good advice for creatives. It’s good advice for life.
Thank you Sean for being so authentic. Refreshing, encouraging and real.

You're cool . Thank you for the inspiration
The downside of UA-cam is that you actually have to be really lucky to find a great channel such like this! 👍
You are so well spoken. And your voice... it's just perfect!
That seamless integration of your other videos. Amazing. Thank you for all the insight
Now I understand why your videos are a step above the others on UA-cam. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for being real and thanks for being a HUGE inspiration.
Super helpful! I am horrible at talking to cameron. Your point of having a script to guide the points just makes good sense.
Thanks for this video. Love hearing how people plan out videos.
You are an intelligent, unique & genuine individual, Sean Tucker....plus I find your voice very soothing :)
Sean Tucker, YOU are SUCH an AMAZING youtuber. I am so excited with each video you post. Please NEVER stop. Promise?
Obviously a little late to the party on this video but still wanted to say thank you - so validating, and it absolutely feels like you walk your talk. Really inspirational. Thanks Sean.
The part about how to speak to the camera and sounding natural is so helpful! And more comprehensive than other videos. Just what I needed! :)
So articulate and intelligent, presented with crystal clarity. Thank you.
Jesus... this guy is damn cool. I was looking for a simple video that would help me structure my youtube videos and this guy came and just blew my head open. What he says in 1:51 is so awesome!
I was just searching advices on how to write a video, and now I've subscribed and is a fan. Thank you Sean
I'm in the process of creating my own UA-cam channel and I've listened to a large number of videos and even signed up for a course to help me along the way. This short video of yours is incredible. It says a lot of the same things I've already heard, but your particular perspective is refreshing, insightful, and without a doubt helpful. I'm a fan even though this is the only video of yours (so far) that I've seen. Subscribed.
Wonderful advice - clarity personified.
I shall now ruminate.
AGAIN 5 MINS IN AND THE STYLE OF YOUR SPEECH DOES VERY MUCH ALLGN WITH THE TYPE OF PERSONALITY I HAVE, THAT IS CRAZY! GREAT JOB OF DELIVERING MESSAGE!
Genuine, articulate and helpful. Thank you so much!
Nothing wrong with wanting to share and inspire people! Great information, thanks for sharing. xx
Thanks for your words of encouragement. Your method is also very useful.
