For the door the way I've fixed that same issue before is get some wood glue and put a few trim nails along the edge and that's been working for me. I've done it like that for years now.
I’ve been changing out just the top half of Fluidmaster fill valves just like you did for a couple of years. As long as the tube isn’t clogged up, it saves so much time and hassle. Glad to see I’m not the only one! 😅
For sure Peter! I've done it over 100 times but I'm still a little sketched out that one day I'm gonna yank up on one too hard and crack the tank. If that ever happens I hope I get it on video :)
All you could do with that door was what you did other than take it all apart and total rebuild it or replace it. You did great. Question are you lead maintenance man at the complex ? Great video, thanks for sharing !
I technically work where needed (about 10 sites or so) but lately been stuck at the two properties for the past few months. Got to visit a few today but couldn't vlog unfortunately. I don't have any type of 'lead tech' name on my badge.
@@ApartmentMaintenancePro I Did maintenance at a university and each maintenance person took care of the same 5 buildings that way the people in the building knew you and you knew them and you were familiar with issues of that building plus all the other aspects of the building, shut off, alarms , etc. Thanks for the video.
400. 1.5 service techs and I'm only at the building 3-4 days a week now. The other service tech handles make readies. Looking to fill positions at the moment
Get a good maintenance cart, if your a supervisor stay up with ALL fire troubles and don't skimp when it comes to fire service, it will suck if you do. Treat the water if it's bad. Crap water will destroy boilers in a few years and cause all sorts of pin holes. Enjoy the views on the roof 👆
Get a cart with everything you need and keep it clean and stocked whenever you can so you dont have to go to the shop often 🤟🏻 other than that the usual get the model number for every appliance in the property that way you can master them 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 been working in high rises since I’ve started 5 years ago 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 🤟🏻💪🏼
Does it dispense ice from the door as well as water? Could be filter. If it's the old type that drops ice in a bin in the freezer then it may have just gone out or some type of clog. You will need to turn the water to the fridge off for that and then pull the ice maker.
You provide an invaluable service to the residence. I hope your company appreciates the knowledge and skills you provide. I think you should wear latex gloves more. Some of the stuff you have to do is nasty.
None of your blogs are boring please keep the videos coming loved your attitude to the damaged door
Thanks Paul will do!

The door fix is better than a poke in the eye and in the end will save money. Win win. Good video as always.
Thanks Evan! Always appreciate the feedback 👍
"that's a good drain. she's talking to me" lmao
Thank you for making these. I just became a maintenance tech with 0 experience. These are very encouraging and helpful! :)
Thanks for watching these are the types of comments that motivate me to make more vlogs :)

You are a hard working guy, is not easy been a maintenance guy. Hopefully the company apreciate you.
Thank you! They take care of me 🤙
Use that CA glue you have with the accelerator spray. That works great!
Love that stuff!
For the wood door, "Tightbond Quick and Thick" and just use painter's tape to hold the side down until the glue sets which is around 15 to 20 min.
Thanks Charles!!
Why does the on-call guy call you if he's on-call?
PL Premium works great for a door repair along with some clamps, keep up the good work!
Thanks Mark will be looking into that !
On the door repair try using quick set wood glue and lots of clamps
Thanks! Gonna stock up on some clamps
