I have been watching many tutorials on youtube for quite some time. Your method is clear and comprehensive! No rubbish and unecessary lengthly explanations. Well done M8!
Thank you teacher, you've been an inspiration and a savior to amateurs that want to understand and learn JAZZ. you've got one of the best learning channels on YT and I really love your editing and explanations. Simple and easy to follow. Keep the good work!
At around 3:47 it says that the 3rd is substituted for the fourth, when I think it is meant to say the opposite: in a "sus" chord the 4th is substituted for the 3rd. Excellent tutorial, and beautifully played, too. Thanks.
Yes with sus voicings, the 3rd is generally omitted in place of the 4th. However it is possible to voice a sus chord with both the major 3rd and the suspended 4th. I have created a 23 minute tutorial on sus chords. It's part of the PianoGroove Pro course, you can watch the lesson overview here: www.pianogroove.com/jazz-piano-lessons/understanding-sus-chords/ - Hope this helps, PianoGroove
Great set-up (hands, fingers, chords), easy to follow and a terrific way for me this mind-blowing, eery, dreamy tune from the incredible Bill Evans. 2 possible improvments : a way to download the viewed sheet (wonder if that's possible with a paid account) - and another version - based on Bill Evan's actual rendition which is in A i think - and which is the version everyone thinks about.
I did not look though all the comments so I am not sure if anyone pointed this out but your score shows Ebm7 to Abm7 but you play Ebm7 to Ab7 (the dominant chord). Is the score just incorrect with that change? Thanks (Great lessons)
Hi Gabriel, hundreds of tutorials are available at pianogroove.com - we do plan to add more to UA-cam in the furture, but right now our focus is developing the lessons and community on our website. Hope this helps, PianoGroove
+Mickey V. ... Ha…ha… you say “he hangs around so NOBODY knows what he's doing”? So, you’ve appointed yourself "spokesperson" for EVERYBODY?? HA…HA…. Let me give you a clue. If there are 99 overwhelmingly grateful and respectful accolades and YOU are the ONLY NEGATIVE comment? Then, most likely, the problem isn’t with everybody…… The problem is YOU. You remind me of a spoiled freeloader on UA-cam who wants everything for nothing… then complains. This is one of the finest jazz piano player/educators on the Internet. You are obviously a rude, selfish and ignorant fool.
I much appreciate being shown with a play-through before the tution like you did. Too many don't at all. Great and easy to follow lessons, thank you.

It's right, I didn't hear the bass notes in Bill Evans's version.
addicted - hurry with the next lesson - better than anything on the web.
+Harry Martin Thanks Harry - lot's more lessons to come. Cheers, PianoGroove.
Great tutorial! Which software do you use for the blue-colored keyboard?
regards from México!
Note this is in Bb Major but Bill Evans recorded it in A, so listening to Bill Evans first is a bit confusing for a beginner.
You said that this is an easy ballad for beginners, so what is a for advanced players according to your expertise???
This isnt that hard
It’s fairly early if you have good fundamentals
so great, as close to Bill Evans, less complicated, but not less interesting musically... can I download the arrangement? thanks
hola tienes tutoriales en español? gracias

can I get a print out of your enhanced arrangement of Foolish Heart? Let me know if you can, thanks...
Молодец чувак! Респект за труд!
Thumbs up! I just want to point out that at 12:53 the chart says Abmi7 when the chord is Ab7.
+Dave Dewald Thanks for pointing that out Dave - that slipped past me!
The reason the Dm7 G7 Cm7 doesnt have a m7(b5) in it is because it's a iii VI ii, not a ii V I
5:40 recap of opening lines
@15:11 extensions & alternation
Hi! Is there a key for that song? If I remember well, Bill Evans didn't play it like that. Thank you.
bill evans plays it in E major while this version is in Bb, hope this helps
does anyone know in which Jazz Real Book this piece is in??
So you beautiful the way you are playing it 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🔥🔥🔥in the beginning I listen to it everyday. I can okay half it. i am not that good.
Hi! Really nice. Can you tell us which software is showing the "blue" note upper piano? It is fabulous!!!!
HI Philippe, yes it's called Midiculous. Cheers, PianoGroove

Drives me nuts that no one plays the introductions to songs anymore. i mean, the composer DID write it.
Nice but you need slow down with chord changes.
Subscrizzle
Как-то не очень правильно звучит...не точно.🤔😒Лишние ноты берёте. Или наоборот.. не берёте нужные..
Jesus. You stop and hang around a chord so long going back and forth till nobody knows what the hell YOURE doing anymore.

+Mickey V. ..... Well, you told us all what is in your mind... and I don't think it's piano.
