Hi Hayley… I’ve been watching your vlogs-while I’ve been waiting to get back on track with the new career direction… albeit I’ve had to redo my licences- long story, but I’m back… and watched your videos and the content has been really good. I like the fact that you’ve gone from one career to the next, showing us all your daily routine, ups and downs and just got on with it. Not only that, you’ve progressed so far, in that time and then pushed for further development. Truly an inspiration to others. And I like so many (all of your subscribers thus far) are proud of your achievements.. Keep it going.. ❤
Thanks a lot for this summary! I followed much of your journey and I am thankful that I found your channel. I am about to start a class 1 job soon (swap body or sea containers) with forklift plus ADR licence and I am happy that I made the step into the transport business.
Was cool to see a snapshot of your journey, was quite nice because I think we both passed our class 2 and then 1 around the same time….and especially with the class 1 I was having exactly the same issues as you with reversing!!! To be fair even a year on I still have days where I seem to leave my brain at home when I have to get on a bay 🤣. Looking forward to next week’s video….👍
Great recap on your career change and achievement Hayley, 👏 👍, couldn't guess how many drivers you've inspired.😃 Let me guess, won the contract to ferry British prime ministers in and out of office, definitely an ADR load. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Hayley, I did a class 1 assessment drive about 3 weeks ago and the instructor Andy said that I should pass with 16 hours training, this would be like you on the wag and drag though the MAN unit has the 4 over 4 with the flip up lever to change between ranges. Talking to some of the lads at Perry's recycling and so far all say go wag and drag as we have 3 of those outfits at Marston Magna yard. Got 2 more weeks building up my driving confidence in the dustcart then onto hookloader training as far as I know, I will look forward to the big announcement video
Hi Hayley, I’ve commented on a few of your vids. With the positioning video you did very much helped me last Wednesday 19th October pass first time for my class 1 licence. Many thanks, I’ll see you on the road soon 👍
I think your going to be a hgv instructor at maybe GTG training Wolverhampton... I've been with you from the start you live right by me and I passed my class 2 I believe the same time as you! Can't wait to hear your news mate, all the best Adam
I like this video a lot, it was well put together and since I havent followed you from the start its like a nice catch up with how you've come along with it. I really appreciate your channel and has kept my mind relaxed during the trial test. I have passed my Classs 1 a few days ago. Huge Thumbs Up ! Any tips on how to find a job as a beginner?
Congratulations🎉🥳. Visit companies person and ask if there are any vacancies. Take your CV. Sign up to some agencies etc. You'll find something eventually 🍀🤞🏻
Hi, I know it's late. I'm very impressed with your journey to becoming an HGV driver. I've just passed and want to do my A.D.R. hope by following you I will get there any advice will be appreciated 😊
Well what a journey it's been Hayley and as an older driver I've been proud to follow you on it. I passed my class 2 module 3 about 3 weeks ago I've got my module 4 next Thursday, I went for an interview last week for a job doing pallet deliverys they have offered me the job for when I've done my cpc next week but theres 2 things I'm stressing about, 1.it's a 10 hour shift each day at the new place but I've been working 6.5 hour shifts for the last year and half so I wanted 8 hour shifts, 2. The vehicle is a manual transmission and I did my training and test in an automatic, I have to go for an assessment at the new place once I've done my module 4 next week then I can start work but I'm worried about messing up with the gears on the assessment
This is an easy peasy one to work out Hayley. Just choose very wisely when you are putting your new cabinet together, and please consider me for the Minister of Transport job. Together me and you could make some big old improvements for the whole transport industry and its future. David in Dudley.
Saw a K transport Unit and trailer at Amazon Tilbury LCY2 Saturday night in the queue about 19:00, was it you? i was just leaving after picking my trailer up.
Hi Hayley, I'm currently doing my c+e licence and I'm really struggling with my reversing 😞, it's literally making me miserable! Out on the road I'm confident and happy, coupling up and uncoupling I'm happy but in the parking bay, trying to practicing my reversing I feel like I've been taking stupid pills 😩 Hanging out my window helps but why to god can't I manage with using just my mirrors 🤦♀️ do you please have any tips for me xx
Hi Emma. Vlog 79 was my reversing tips video - that may help? Your instructor should have some markers and tips and tricks to help you with your training and test. Don't give up, you'll get the hang of it with some practise xx

@@TruckDriverHayley signed up to 2 agencies and had my first interview for a company today, waiting to find out but I don’t think I’ll get it it seemed like he had a few doubts about me will find out tomorrow. I work full time in a factory so that ties my hands with agency work unless I leave and put faith in the agency’s to find me the work. Dunno what to do really I’m very bad at small talk so it effects me in interviews and opportunities.
Don't risk losing your current job until you've got something lined up worth leaving for. Agencies can find weekend work if you wanted to do days here and there. I hope they give you a chance 🤞🏻🍀
@@TruckDriverHayley Hi again they have given me a chance and said he was very impressed with my interview and to let me know when my notice is and he will send over the offer and paper work 🎉
Hi Hayley, I passed my Test and got my driving licence since April 2022. All the jobs I have applied for required or ask for 1-2 years experience as HGV Driver. even I have experience from Libya for 20 years, they still not look at or accept it here in UK. But hey fingers crossed tomorrow my first interview and assessment for local company HPH. Hope they will give me the Job. All the best for you.
I think the main problem is you haven't held your class 1 or 2 in the UK for 1-2 years. so insurance goes through the roof like a new pass. the experience thing is basically nothing to do with it, but job listings have got to be short or something so they combine the two together to confuse people. like you could have passed your driving test for the class 1 or 2, 2 years ago and worked in McDonalds or something since. you are classed as a lower risk somehow to the insurance company.
@@michaelthomas3646 I heard the same Michael. I was told that small companies literally couldn't get insurance for anyone that's not held their licence for 2 years. The big companies can get around it but not the smaller companies. I struggled and only just got my first break after my licence was older than 2 years ironically.
@@TruckDriverHayley it has to cos I ain't pregnant. I'm away from home all week so I don't get time to do the activities that would get me pregnant lol
