classical music is unlike any other when it comes to conveying emotion through sound, it is _so_ impactful and this anime showcased it in its entirety, regardless how how you may have felt about the characters. Humans are complicated and far from perfect, therefore our emotions are complicated, and yet music can and does convey them flawlessly. That final performance was actually masterpiece level.
ballade no1 feats so well, Chopin is a romantic composer so there is a lot of emotions in his plays and Ballade is a piece that he created because he missed Poland when he leaved it to go to France (sorry this is absolutly not perfect english but this is not my 1st language)
