The guy playing the real Peter Frank's was unbelievable, Frank's was an ex-public school boy in the book, and Tiffany was American, from San Francisco, but we won't hold that against Imogen, this would gave been the role that gave get career a much-needed lift, pity she didn't get it.
Was he involved in you only live twice with the running after the villian with the black and White shoes, you can see the cut and different in height and was he doing the fight with the rocks grand father at Sato building after being taken up there
@@user-xp2gm8im2c "You Only Live Twice" should have been the revenge film, after "OHMSS," which should have been made in '67 as originally planned, and then "YOLT" in '69, which should have stuck to the novel, which was about avenging Tracy's death.
It wasn't her screen test. She was chosen to help for some screen tests in the search for a new James Bond for DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, before Broccoli-Saltzman obtained Connery's "yes."
Not gonna lie, I'd take a bored looking Connery or Lazenby with his mixed acting ability over this guy any day. Imogen Hassan is good though. Ok, maybe not for this specific role (I don't think she was ever considered/was just standing in) but I could see her in another Bond movie from this time.
Do you mind if I smoke. As long as it's tobacco Jeezus what a great line that was. It's in the Addams family do you mind if I smoke famous Caroline Jones like Lol
Not bad actually. I really like Roger Green as Bond here. Not bad at all. Is this from some extra material? I have been looking everywhere for the deleted scenes from A View To A Kill and Licence To Kill. It would be awesome if someone could upload them to UA-cam.
This guy isn't George lazenby but he looks a little like him that's probably why the chose him the 007 franchise would have been destroyed if they had had another actor every time for each movie they had to bring Sean Connery back or bring a big household name like Burt Reynolds in. No way that it would have survived if they had some mid card actor or someone just starting out like Daniel Craig was some what known but not very well known. Only works if the guy keeps coming back for more than one film
Interesting. I liked "Bond" better than "Tiffany". One thing I DIDN'T like was the idiocy that James Bond should be "famous". Totally defeats the purpose of being a "SECRET" agent. "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER" was a novel that, despite being on the minor side for the book series, was one I IMMENSELY enjoyed. The movie with that name, however, has always been a directionless mess, a direct result of utter indecision on the part of the producers regarding even what kind of a movie they wanted to make, both in story and tone. To me, it's a piece of crap... with only 2 things about it I like... Jill Saint John (who's mostly wasted due to the wretchedly-bad script)... and, the THEME SONG, my favorite of the 3 sung by Shirley Bassey, by a very wide margin.
@@asch7906 Connery looked bored, is aged and overweight, but if D.A.F. was a revenge film and not a sequel of ''You Only Live Twice'' all these are perfect, as Bond after Tracy's death.
Imogen made several suicide attempts in her short life but they seemed to be cries for attention. She would OD on sleeping pills and then call all of her friends until one of them came to her aid. Sadly, no one came for her on that final night.
They should have had this guy instead of Connery. He looked kinda like Lazenby, basically like the book version. I always picture Bond looking like this guy when reading the books. Connery was very selfish for coming back in diamonds are forever. Yeah he was great in YOLT. But he really shouldn't have come back for the money. He put no effort into it. Very selfish. This guy would have been great in the actual movie. If Lazenby could do it, so could this guy. WHAT A SHAME.
All the money he received from Diamonds was paid to a trust in Scotland for something or other; he didn't take a penny. Though I'm sure all his expences were covered.
@@luisrosado9772 If you've actually had done your research, without assuming, because of the UA-cam title, he was auditioning and nearly got the part. The producers and team nearly chose him to be James bond, but United artists wanted Connery back.
When you see someone playing James Bond who has not played the part in the movies, you can tell it's more difficult than it looks...
No wonder they begged Connery back
Imogen WOULD have made a marvellous Bond girl!
On her majesty secret service was the one she should of been on .as one of the hotel women at the ski resort
She certainly had a couple of impressive acting assets
She certainly would have!!💥💥
If she was alive she could play Octopussy.
Imogen was my fav in carry on loving, man she was stunning, pity she died young

What's really odd to me here is Bond casually throwing out Teresa and Tracy as possible names for Tiffany so soon after... well, you know.

Imogen Hassall was properly lovely
Lazenby should have agreed to do this one. He is actually a better fit than Connery, who by now had outgrown the role.
If D.A.F. was a revenge film and not a sequel of ''You Only Live Twice'', Connery who is aged and overweight fit perfect, as Bond after Tracy's death.

I'm fairly sure it would have been a far different type of movie .
Peter Franks is played here by Bob Simmons, Bond's stunt double!
And people say Lazenby was wooden
If it's Imogen's screen test, why are they going to so much trouble with the fight scene when she's not even onscreen?

Imogen would have made DAF completely British. Jill St John was, eventually, a foil.
Was this before or after Imogen was "sucked down to a horrible death in deadly quicksand" as Ayak in "Dinosaurs"?
