Hello, I was planning to visit interior 26.09-27.09, using F208 road (especially south part from Vik to Landmannlaugar) but today I checked roads condition and most part of this road is marked as road for mountain vehicle. Is it possible to drive there with rentę Dacia Duster 4x4? As I searched, it hasn’t rained for a few days . Maybe someone has travelled there recently ans can tell me more about road condition. I would appreciate any feedback.
In general: When driving with your Duster, check the wading depth beforehand to ensure safe passage. If you're unsure about a ford, it's best to walk through it first to assess the depth and conditions. In fords marked with flags, use these as a guide and drive close to them. Drive through larger puddles more towards the sides, where they tend to be shallower. Pay attention to the current, as it may have created deeper sections in some areas and shallower ones in others. It's easier when the tire pressure is set to about 2 bar. If in doubt, turn back.
