Just on the down low, I'm feeling pretty low.
Some days I feel fine.
Others... I don't know.
I got a sensory road block.
I'm in a binary mind lock.
So I'm dancing in lockstep to music that I can't hear.
Failing farmer; toxic crop.
Two white hearts to shake shit up.
Pay someone to taste, to smell and punch through the dry wall inside my skull.
Interior people.
A lens flare in my subconscious.
The gap of death, I no longer fear.
The Interior People.
I keep thinking someone.
Is standing beside me.
But when I turn to grab 'em.
They jump back inside of me.
They tell me to do things.
And so does the radio.
And learn from the satellite.
That orbits my shadow.
Instigate the paradigm.
Play the game and drink the wine.
Communicate with the afterglow that radiates between the wall.
Failing farmer; toxic crop.
Two white hearts to shake shit up.
Pay someone to taste, to smell and punch through the dry wall inside my skull.
Interior people.
A lens flare in my subconscious.
The gap of death, I no longer fear.
The Interior People.
Thats my daughters story board and animation!!!!!!!
It's really cool. Heavy Metal influence?
Amazing, can’t stop watching it
Oh wow really?? She did so good, genuinely
Righteous
So fresh
I'm glad this song was sent back 1000 years to us.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Are you implying that music is going to get better? 1000 years from now we probably won't exist and also the majority of combinations of notes will already be played out. You've only listened to about 100 years of recorded music buddy, and also lol.
@@kane00000 we can listen to the music that existed way before 100 years of recordings, because they were written on sheet music... Classical compositions. There is a clear progression of sound from even before the classical era, before even "modern" rhythm and time signatures existed. So yes, music is constantly evolving and getting better. Music is a lot more than just combinations of certain notes in a specific order. Music can be more than a sum of its parts
@@kane00000 I think it was a 3000 joke... buddy.
@@kane00000 the album is called Butterfly 3000…
My interior people will not stop singing this goddamn song
man. its crazy this is the band that made PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and Beginning of Merciless Damnation
“…Pay someone to taste, to smell, to punch through the drywall inSIDE MY SKULL!!!”
Drum fill
It's so easy to tell that this one was written by joey
My personal favorite track from the album, excited that this looks like a different visual direction from the past couple videos
Still downtown trippsville, though. Agreed the song is awesome, "breakthrough the drywall inside my skull" lyrics fucking rips.
@@666Nastyman666 I love the delivery of that line
They're all trippy as fuck tho
I got heavy metal ( movie ) vibes from this one
My personal fav also, amazing song
Cool video. Thanks for uncovering the secret lives of larvae and butterflies
together again for the first time, reptilians & mkultra symbolism!
@@planesight1142 right? Lol Thought it was just me
@@planesight1142 Oh yeah.. someone in the band should contact me (I'm pretty sure this someone likes reptilians a lot, as they named the band that way => "Lizard") .. You don't fool me, Stu!! :D They are fucking here.. I've had contact once (not with repts)..
"Such a crazy video, I love it!"- My future self on July 12th
you was right
This video is my favorite so far from the album
Oh man, it’s been far too long since their last video.
i was zonked out of my mind when i decided to give this band a try, and this was the first song i randomly clicked on. needless to say i'm absolutely hooked now!!!

2:08 Butterfly snuggles is the best part of the video
You know it
Nonagon vibes!! this art style suits gizz by far the best out of all the videos so far. would love to see more of this animator, especially for gizzy wizzy's more narrative songs. like imagine this art style for motu....
That'd be a dream come true honestly
I feel your thoughts! I thought it was the bee-man from the People Vultures music video, but I was so wrong hah.
The style of drawing and scenes gives a more sci-fi-fantasy vibe, almost like Flash Gordon or He-Man cartoons.
I would die so much happier if the entire section of Alter me/Altered Beast was animated like this
Bro i love king gizz as s whole and i have to disagree witchu here. After infest the rats nest we had few of those elements. And thats ok with me. Obvsly we've got those Wooo here n there, but i see the band trending towards a microtonal/prog/synthrock style. We can hear hints of nonagon within some recent tracks such as the Wolf of fate, kglw ii and butterfly 3000, the magnum opus when it comes to this record to me.
Getting Moebius vibes from these animations! And this song is absolutely top notch, wow.
I'm thinking the exact same thing.
I was looking for this comment! The video is basically one long reference to that Arzach story (you know the one). Love it!
The artistry, the timing of this is fucking impeccable. Every cut is right where it should be. The plot follows every emotional turn of this song. The vibes align so well, it's hard to tell which came first -- the song or the animation. It felt like being a young kid, enjoying my favorite saturday morning cartoon again. Thank you 🦋
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
100%
Does anyone else ever see butterfly shaped flashing lights in their head sometimes or am I just crazy? Just wandering if not then me neither
You never should have stopped enjoying cartoons on Saturday/any day!! Screw all this real world BOGUS! We already get enough of that crap 💫 lol
@@johnnytruth5000 i do from time to time but I like it
Feel like King Gizz really "felt It" on this album. I saw a critical review and was shocked. This will be one of the best albums of this year. Love the Daoist imagery, it's striking compared to their existential commentary on previous records.
@@chillfollins honest question: in which case is daoism cut from the same cloth as epicureanism?
Lemme guess, it was Fantano?
@@parkerdavis7859 Yea, Fantano doesn't count.
she turned herself into a butterfly, funniest thing I've ever seen
*dies*
This is why I love this fanbase
"First, the caterpillar digests itself, releasing enzymes to dissolve all of its tissues. If you were to cut open a cocoon or chrysalis at just the right time, caterpillar soup would ooze out. But the contents of the pupa are not entirely an amorphous mess. Certain highly organized groups of cells known as imaginal discs survive the digestive process. Before hatching, when a caterpillar is still developing inside its egg, it grows an imaginal disc for each of the adult body parts it will need as a mature butterfly or moth-discs for its eyes, for its wings, its legs and so on. In some species, these imaginal discs remain dormant throughout the caterpillar's life; in other species, the discs begin to take the shape of adult body parts even before the caterpillar forms a chrysalis or cocoon. Some caterpillars walk around with tiny rudimentary wings tucked inside their bodies, though you would never know it by looking at them."
"Once a caterpillar has disintegrated all of its tissues except for the imaginal discs, those discs use the protein-rich soup all around them to fuel the rapid cell division required to form the wings, antennae, legs, eyes, genitals and all the other features of an adult butterfly or moth. The imaginal disc for a fruit fly's wing, for example, might begin with only 50 cells and increase to more than 50,000 cells by the end of metamorphosis. Depending on the species, certain caterpillar muscles and sections of the nervous system are largely preserved in the adult butterfly. One study even suggests that moths remember what they learned in later stages of their lives as caterpillars."
You need to get out more
SPOILER ALERT!!!
Best song of the year so far. Seriously what a song. The beat. the lyrics. Top tune
song of the year is ascending forths by black midi akshully
@@michaelmoscrop6031 true
Yes, but many songs are tied on that title because they are such bangers
@@michaelmoscrop6031 lovely song, but 'slow' is the song of the year for me. Such a sick tune.
@@michaelmoscrop6031 No such thing as best song of the year since music is a matter of taste. :)
The animation in this is mindblowingly well done. It's like what you'd get if Moebius directed a cheap 90s anime. Cheap in all the right ways not compromising the story or even the art really, but cutting out a lot of work and time. This is one of the best examples I've seen at using cycles to make cheaper.(it could be just that the cycles are more easily noticable but I think it's quite a bit heavier on cycles than most American tv animation.) Like at the end when the plants dilate and uncurl slightly. The same animation used twice, it's beautiful. And moth woman's frontfacing walk cycle being used on both a wide and a tight shot. Such a gorgeous piece of animation.
Woah, the new Heavy Metal movie looks really good
Was just thinking, I could watch a movie length version of this, and Heavy Metal definitely came to mind.
Me too. Hell yeah.
Definitely getting mobius vibes
I know right! Thought the same with the thumbnail lol. Good call.
Taarna!
This is the worst year of my life. Lost my home and pets to fire. My husband to sepsis. My car in an accident. And this song, somehow, is just so therapeutic. I feel so much better when it comes on. Thank you.
Well. You're free now at least? Sounds like you had everything you'd ever wanted and God smashed the reset button. Time to evolve and do something else. In some ways I'm jealous.
Wherever you may be now, I hope you're doing better!
@@anomalous34 quite late to this, but that's such an awful thing to comment i am actually in awe of your audacity
@@yves9929 Sorry next time I'll tell people to dwell in misery for years and never find a way to reinvent their life. Just let the trauma overtake them forever.
@@anomalous34 honesty works better when combined with compasion
I loved the little riff from Shanghai
It was everything I wanted. Dr. Seuss meets Heavy Metal. Dope as always, see you next week.
Literally. Thought it was Heavy Metal!
@@shannonbusley
Actually you're not far off. I think the video's designers and animators studied under Jean "Moebius" Giraud and Phillippe Caza.
Joey's songs are always so damn good, and this video is fucking amazing. Gizz never fails.
This is right up there with The River, what an experience ✨
The visual language of this video is so beautiful. Symmetrical design perfectly connecting to the Butterfly theme of the album. This standout song off the album, now followed along with a brilliant video. I'd be hard pressed to imagine a more fitting music video. Brilliant work all around, the maker of this video needs all the additional credit ❤ ..and as always, King Gizzard never let you down!
I noticed the symmetry, SO made the feel of the place. What a world.
The graphics make me think of the movie Heavy Metal.
together again for the first time, reptilians & mkultra symbolism!
The video is just as good as the song.
I just keep comin' back to this album. History will be kind to this one.
Oohh nice to see Ambrose turned into a butterfly
He was such a beautiful woman, but he‘ll be just as precious if not more as a butterfly 🙌🏼
@@raphaelepache5290 Amber Rose
This looks like it could be a cut / lost segment of the early 80s movie Heavy Metal. It would fit right in. I love it. 😀
Im loving 60s psych and 70s prog, but this is like everything best form that era with adition of freshness
Still the best band of all time.
This song can make me tear up, I really should check out more of this band
Welcome to the Gizzverse my friend! Happy to have you here with us 🤍🦎🔮
so sick. this album is such a hit, interior people is a superior track
Favourite song of the album, favourite video so far.
The beginning reminded me Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
I was thinking Miyazaki as well!
2:30 this part is cool 😎
I dig this one much more than the rest honestly.
Hey I've seen your comment on another non-gizz vid before lol
I wish they were full crazy bat playing some Deep Purple style.. like a racing car
@@coolandgood2598 I'm guessing it was Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Thee Oh Sees or Ween video. Small world. :p
This new backstory for the Monarch really shows how deep the Venture Brothers lore goes.
LOVE the style of the drawings and animation! I felt some 70's sci-fi comic books / cartoons vibes between the hand-drawn touch and the colours, the art style as well.
I knew this track deserved an awesome video and I'm so glad to see it got one!
Beautiful work, guys, it's the best I've seen this year without a doubt. Can't wait for the rest ;)
This song makes me get more down.
I love all the symbolic imagery that I don't quite have a word for, but would describe it as the opposite of "phallic" lol. Vulvic?
This is beautiful. You guys make me so proud to be a gizzoid, always wearing one of my merch shirts at work whenever you guys launched a new video haha
This video is a nod to Heavy Metal
Reminds me of The Flaming Lips The Soft Bulletin era. Fantastic music.
Love Walkey Jake's croooon 💙 It's so smoooth and cooool 🦋

I love the little motif from their other track Butterfly at 2:05
also the same as shanghai
I was hopin someone spotted this 🤙
this was released on my birthday, and this band is from my city woah! youtube suggested this to me, and i couldn't be happier!
This is one of my favorite track on the the album. I'm stunned by that clip. I can't be more thankful that your music exists. It's just so freaking good. Please never stop.
I keep coming back to this song, because I can't get it out of my head. So good.
This came up randomly on my front page of recommended videos. This is really cool! I love the art style, and really vibe with the music too. Well done.
Phenomenal! Favorite video from the album thus far!! Beautiful artwork for a beautiful song. Top tier gizz keep it up boys we love you. ✌️
YES !! WE NEED A 9 MINUTE VERSION WITH ADDED MICROTONAL GUITAR SOLOS
Who else can’t wait for the catching smoke video?! Hope it’s as awesome as this one.
Brilliant cartoon vid for the most laid back yet surprisingly powerful prog i ever had the pleasure of hearing, the vibe is incredible man, fluid, effortless, unassuming, brightly lit, it's almost a masterpiece.

Woah. I'm absolutely loving the different direction with videos now. So amazing. I love this song style, reminds me of early Cat Steven's.🐛🦋
Wasn't fully feeling the album on my first listen until this song came on and it just clicked! And this might be my favorite video of the batch now too!!
