When I saw Gullveig in the first place I laughed so hard. So many people always have complaints about the fanservice but, at the end of the day, fanservice always sells really well (e.g. Summer banners). I'm so happy with my waifu F!Corrin getting second place. Probably CYL will be really hard for non-Engage units in the next years.
People who complain about fanservice want a dead game. They're so myopically entrenched in their narrow viewpoint that they can't appreciate or look at the bigger picture. Gullveig is definitely sexy, but she also honestly has some pretty cool powers too. Glad to see Corrin taking a spot!
I voted for gullveig once just for the meme of her getting an alt before her banner type of thing but did not expect her to actually win and even if she did i was expecting her to be 2nd not sweeping entirely but welp there goes my orbs i did it for the meme but gullveig alt ......... Also with her time manipulation shenanigans her alt coming early fits her so well.
Between Brave Gullveig being a reality, to that new safety net to stop making me cry and the Duo Elise, which is something I absolutely want, I'm happy enough with the Feh Channel. Now when will they roll out Brawler units in this game...
Soren got 2nd place!!! I'm SO EXCITED!!! Soren, Camilla, and Yuri have always battled it out for my favorite FE character so I'm so happy that 2/3 of them will have a Brave alt. For a Brave Soren I've always wanted him to have an outfit either inspired by Ike (I'm a heavy IkeSoren shipper) or maybe an outfit reminiscent of one of his parents, maybe a similar concept to Brave Camilla. The Duo Elise is so adorable and Leo is very handsome so I have to dump some orbs into that banner. The Summoning changes can hopefully offset me usually being drawn to colorless units.
I was CACKLING when I saw Gullveig won 1st place. I didn't have any strong opinions on who could or should win this time, so this was a total surprise. I do like Gullveig's design, but I just find it hilarious that people were THIS down bad. lol It's even funnier considering we're currently IN the book that she's the antagonist in. You'd expect her to get a Mythic banner in November, sooo... _what do they do for this Brave alt in August???_ And part of me wonders if Gullveig was actually in 1st during the interim results, and IS saw that and was like, _"Oh, no... Please, God, no..."_ And the reason why they gave the interim results in alphabetical order was a vain attempt to get others to rally around _anyone else_ since placement was unknown. That's just my theory. lol The anniversary rewards, in total, are nice! And the Hero Fest went well for me! 0 orbs spent and got Malice, Mareeta, and _Ascended_ Mareeta. Love the safety net for guaranteeing a focus 5 star too. We've all had those off-focus summon sessions, so this is appreciated. And I just wish the 4 star Special demotes weren't only on select older banners. I wish they were all Special Heroes banners, because I'd love to be summoning on blue and _maybe_ get a NY!Alfonse merge. Lastly, looking forward to Valentine Hana and Elise & Sakura the most, but not sure how much I'll summon just yet.

I do think there's an opportunity to do something creative and fun with her by using the CYL as a way of highlighting or previewing certain story depth of the character, especially by tying it in with the current timeline and time manipulation powers she has. They'll probably squander this chance, though. I don't think it's why the hid the interim results, though. I think they recognize that the mid-term tally influences voting patterns a little too much, to the point of toxicity in a community that is already prone to toxicity quite frankly. Mid-terms without numbers keeps everyone engaged until the end, so I consider it a positive change. Congrats on the Hero Fest pulls!

I don't know what it could be, because we just don't know much about her at this point, but I just hope it's at least interesting on top of having an amazing kit. And no, I don't _actually_ think Gullveig was the reason to change the midterms. It was just funny to think about it as a WHAT IF in this situation. If anything, I do think it's what you said. It made it more open-ended to me, and it was a legitimate mystery up until the reveal. (Because I didn't look at the leak, which was apparently correct?) I think I prefer it this way.

That was a pretty cool FEH channel! I *STILL* can't believe she's only had 2 chapters, but Rule 63 Yuuki Terumi with The World powers (Gullveig) actually made 1st... Meanwhile the Men's Division has just *THE* FE tacticians going off. Also the many quality of life changes are nice. Especially that Focus Charge mechanic.
Man, Gullveig winning is just the funniest timeline. I'm a little salty that Bernadetta ended up losing by a 100 votes or so from Corrin (though at least I like Corrin, I hope they give her the Valla outfit), but the Yoshiku Big Booba Snek Lady winning CYL all of a sudden before her book is even finished and being released before her regular version is hilarious. I'm really wondering wtf they're going to do with her (and I hope they don't get lazy). And the seasonal leak ended up being true! The Elise Emblem! The Elise Emblem is reeaaaaal! And she even has an offensive special (a first for healers) and Wrathful 4. Gonna be skipping that Hero Fest to go for her. Luckily she's the character I care about the most on that banner too, so even if she's all I manage to get from a spark after a bad summon session, I'm still satisfied. As for the other stuff, definitely appreciate the anti-pitybreaker hell measure they've taken, because I've been there too (that accursed Thief banner last year...). Not sure about the arena change, though. Being forced to bring unmerged legendaries is just going to tank my score, and I haven't pulled for most of them in the first place. Though I guess I don't care about arena much anyway. And we get some decent rewards, some more changes and whatnot as well. Pretty satisfying FEH channel overall, honestly, nowhere near the saltfest of some previous ones.
Looking at the final standings did make me wince at Bernie's placement, but hopefully fans can get her place in a future vote. I think the recency bias may hurt us a bit hear, depending on how much they want to keep private about Gullveig until the story segments are revealed... but this is also a really unique opportunity to develop the lore of the character with this unit alongside the story piece, especially since she has time control elements to her. Gullveig winning is great if anything just to make the people who complain about fanservice salty. I feel bad for Bernie fans but she'll probably get another unit. Also Gullveig makes things more interesting than if the banner was F!Corrin and F!Robin for example, especially with M!Robin on the other side. Wish Awakening Anna could win tho :')
I don't know why people have to complain about fanservice. Irrespective of her beauty, Gullveig's design is amazing. Summon for who you like, vote for who you like, ignore whatever you don't. No need to act like children. I think there's a good chance we'll get both Robins and Corrins as winners at some point. I'd be interested in a CYL Anna one day too.
As salty as people are about Gullveig winning I mainly voted for her cz of her mythology inspirations and time control abilities. Sure she has a fan service design but there is more to a character then how they look.

I think the character design, art, and recency bias carried Gullveig in a big way. But whatever happens, it'll be pretty interesting! I'm actually so surprised corrin won, she usually drops after interim. When I tell you I screamed, I'm not exaggerating lol. I am now vowing to not spend a single orb until we get their banner. I'm hoping she's a mage or sword unit because she's never been allowed to use a sword in feh and I just think it would be neat
Focus charges aren't for legendary/mythic banners or DSH banners, etc. Any banner that doesn't have a 5 star non-focus rate to begin with doesn't get the focus charge. Other than that, every other banner type is fair game. And Feh Pass users get the seasonal banners, omega seasonal banner (makes me wonder if there's gonna be more of these besides the new years one), and Hero Fest banners, while every other banner besides those three are free to anyone.

They didn't even make top 10. Meaning IS is gonna continue ignoring them like they always do, because IS is never gonna give TMS anything new; not a single seasonal, not a harmonic, not an ascended, not a rearmed, not a legendary, hell they're most likely not even gonna give them any refines. That's how much IS hates TMS, hates the fans of TMS, and thinking they have any chance of winning is a literal joke. Nothing against you as a person. For me, I'm stuck between Corrin and Robin for CYL. I'm still hoping Stefan gets a chance to be added in the game this year since I gave him all of my votes. For the Valentines banner, I'm probably going for Duo Elise. However, I'm glad that Effie is free. I never really liked her too much due to the armor, but she does look really good with the art for this Alt. It is weird since I don't mind how Male armored units look and wouldn't mind them adding Louis, Oswin, Kellam, or Tauroneo to the game. As with everything else, I do like the Arena and summoning Focus changes the most. This was a pretty good Feh Channel.
I ended up going for Green since I had the best chance and ended up getting Su.Dimitri #5. Didn't want him, but it is Fodder for someone else I will use more. He showed up 4 times, going to the spark on the original banner.

F for Bernie Hopefully M.Robin will be himself for once (after what they did to A.Tiki some are fearful that they'd make him Grima anyways) But I'm glad about the rest. The Hero fest isn't bad, but I have then all. Thank goodness. I'm voting Fortmortis and monocular goodness is a lie. Leo gets an alt... Muspell must be having a big snowstorm. The duo is similar to Pirate Camilla (sisters from both nations). I'll be skipping mainly due to the last few banners I wonder about their refines though. It's a pity-pity... but yeah it's a good change The art is great, and I'm glad to say Brave A.Tiki was drawn well as her artist shows.
Yeah, I'm sure she was carried by the unceremonious crowd a bit, I'm just surprised it trumped a lot of old standbys that have their fanbases. The recency bias + beautiful design + cool powers+ fantastic art is a powerful combination. I hope they don't screw up Robin. I guess we can't count on IS to make good decisions, but maybe they learned from the backlash. Overall some nice QOL changes. I probably would have more or less skipped the banner if it weren't for the juicy potential healer fodder from the duo.
I am actually on the group of people that thinks Gullveig has won is bs - but not in general but just this year, cause what if in worst case she turns out to be a character like Surtr or Hel, which are in general not that much liked to say it as positive as I can? Then probably many people will regret the vote they put on her and anyone who didn't want her in that anyway still have to deal with her. And thats something I don't like. Would she have won next year, cause she turns out to be amazing to people for... more than being "Snake tits" honestly, would be fine, cool, accepted, but so... that vote could turn out to be a huge risk. Just hope for the people (and for us others) that it will actually turn out well an worth it. :/ BUT I am pretty happy about Male Robin and Soren and will definitely get both when CyL will happen, maybe even Corrin if the Art is pretty. But honestly I can't be to mad about the FEH Channel, cause IS gave me another Elise-Alt, which seems to be not only very pretty, but also potentially strong. Only thing I am mad about is the timing and my current Orb count. ;_; But I will at least go to the spark for her and then it depends on the New Heroes (which I think will be a second Engage banner and if there are certain characters on it I would like to spark on that too.... or a Arcane Bow, Blue Tome or Green Tome :s) if I go further or wait for the Double Seasonal return of her for getting merges (where she could potentially share with NY Duo Askr which wouldn't be the worst unit to share with). Overall good FEH Channel, not amazing, but solid. I wish there also would have been a "from now on you can inherit 5 skills at once" but well, probably will never happen. :/
I think that's a fairly common sentiment. I do like her getting a brave variant, but I also think it might be better suited for next year. That being said, I also think IS could do something really fun and clever with her manipulating time and her brave variant being incorporated into the actual story. I don't have confidence they would do it, but I still think there's untapped potential to play around with. In either case, I'm confident she's going to have absolutely incredible art at the very least, if they keep Yoshiku at the helm for it. The Feh Channel generally was a winner, I think. Lots of good QOL stuff to look forward to, natural additions, changes, updates. Celebration rewards are pretty great. I think we could get the 5 skills at once thing at some point in the future.

There's a ton to unpack in this video first of all the leaks were true with cly and seasonal banner. It's amazing to see a oc win this and I'm more excited for her because most of the time they get lazy with art of non oc units that win. As for arena update we know that less and less people play arena so IS is desperate to get people to play it and that's why they added in the tickets to it but this update feels icky to it. Also it's to bad we have to wait a year to have OVER 9000 feathers max for each character. Also cool a new pity system but man it feels dirty to lock some of it away from a feh pass feels dirty especially when this game makes around a million every month.
I think everyone plays arena just for the rewards at least. The update seems geared more towards increasing the value of Legendary Heroes, honestly. Do people have feather woes these days? I'm shocked that people are running into issues with it. I basically always have 900,000 feathers. They really shouldn't unless they squander and have like 50 projects. It seems Special Heroes are always going to have that Feh Pass advantage. At least most of the new pity is free. They could have locked the whole thing, which isn't too far from what most gacha would do. EDIT: Oh were you talking about Hero Merit? It is laughably easy to farm Hero Merit. Really don't see the issue there.
@@GuardianEPlays well we know from numbers posted that less and less people played arena and that's why they have given it these updates both the free ticket and now this legendary character buff because IS wants to get more people back into it and just the fact that they even buffed the rewards and this is proof of it. Because we've all seen that they only change game modes that no one plays. I'm sure new players have feather trouble because this game is far from new player friendly. Like with most games that's been around for over 4 years they have new player start up quests or rewards but this game doesn't do that. Honestly I was making a old dragon ball meme from like 15 years ago the over 9000 power level joke.

Hero merit and weekly participation rewards alone are a giant source of feathers for new players. And we get so many broken f2p units in the game now, f2p and new players have never had it easier, to be honest. The game's pretty darn accessible for new players as long as they realize they dont need to +10 anything for 95% of content in the game. They just get told bad sweaty info from social media and reddit. Not really true, they're just upgrading the oldest game modes to be consistent. Arena is one of the oldest modes in the game. Wouldn't it make sense to give it a QOL spruce up?

Won't lie, I'm not happy about Gullveig's win. At least for this CYL. If she won the next CYL after we had gotten to know her as a character I wouldn't of been mad, but for me its just the fact that she's been on screen for all of five minutes and we know nothing about her besides she wants to kill everyone for... reasons??? I'm honestly confused why it was her over somebody like Loki or Plumeria who are characters who are both attractive as hell and whom we know pretty well by this point, but then again FEH players have a bad habit of dropping female characters not named Veronica the second they get any kind of development so I shouldn't be shocked. Its a shame too, since we have so many fun OCs in this game. I would of loved to see somebody else win and for Gullveig to take the spotlight next year instead.
I'm inclined to agree to an extent. After she's more developed, there would have been more opportunity to utilize elements of her backstory into next year's CYL. That being said, if they're clever, IS could actually incorporate her time manipulation into this somehow, use it as a way to explain her appearance before her OG version, and even fold it into the story itself. Though I don't actually think that would happen, it'd be pretty cool. I do think it was recency bias that helped carry Gullveig here. I'm still going to look forward to it and hope they do something interesting with the unique situation and canon powers that she has.
feh pass continues to be a terrible thing more and more restricted to it, especially when arena basically rewards whaling more and more barely any orbs again, like look at dokkan, a single celebration can net you so much but barely anything here despite needing more to invest in characters cause dupes hopefully cyl next year won't be a engage screw job, don't see them having the pull the 3H game did
It's just for seasonals. You shouldn't ignore the f2p enhancements they added with the Focus Charge, celebration rewards, and 4-star special additions, and only look at the negative. You DO NOT need +10s for the majority of this game. Dokkan units get powercrept after a month. I can still use Gen 1 FEH units in all competitive modes.

Looking at the final standings did make me wince at Bernie's placement, but hopefully fans can get her place in a future vote. I think the recency bias may hurt us a bit hear, depending on how much they want to keep private about Gullveig until the story segments are revealed... but this is also a really unique opportunity to develop the lore of the character with this unit alongside the story piece, especially since she has time control elements to her. That said, I don't think they'll be clever enough to utilize it, but I do feel like there's a chance for something really creative.

The Focus Charge is pretty big, and a really welcome addition! And rewards are appreciated. I'm also lukewarm on the Arena change, but not particularly bothered either way.

Gullveig winning is great if anything just to make the people who complain about fanservice salty. I feel bad for Bernie fans but she'll probably get another unit. Also Gullveig makes things more interesting than if the banner was F!Corrin and F!Robin for example, especially with M!Robin on the other side. Wish Awakening Anna could win tho :')
I don't know why people have to complain about fanservice. Irrespective of her beauty, Gullveig's design is amazing. Summon for who you like, vote for who you like, ignore whatever you don't. No need to act like children.
I think there's a good chance we'll get both Robins and Corrins as winners at some point. I'd be interested in a CYL Anna one day too.

As salty as people are about Gullveig winning I mainly voted for her cz of her mythology inspirations and time control abilities. Sure she has a fan service design but there is more to a character then how they look.
She honestly has some pretty cool powers, but of course people are going to bandwagon against her design just because.

I think the character design, art, and recency bias carried Gullveig in a big way. But whatever happens, it'll be pretty interesting! Maybe they can incorporate her time manipulation into how it's weird this version of her is showing up prior to her OG one.

I'm actually so surprised corrin won, she usually drops after interim. When I tell you I screamed, I'm not exaggerating lol. I am now vowing to not spend a single orb until we get their banner. I'm hoping she's a mage or sword unit because she's never been allowed to use a sword in feh and I just think it would be neat
I think the fact that we didn't get specific numbers from the interim results made a big difference. I'm glad they did it. Happy saving!
Focus charges aren't for legendary/mythic banners or DSH banners, etc. Any banner that doesn't have a 5 star non-focus rate to begin with doesn't get the focus charge. Other than that, every other banner type is fair game. And Feh Pass users get the seasonal banners, omega seasonal banner (makes me wonder if there's gonna be more of these besides the new years one), and Hero Fest banners, while every other banner besides those three are free to anyone.

My only choices with the free was Red and Colorless cause game and color not giving me what i want (which is blue) but i went for red and got what i wanted from the red actually which was summer edelgard just that shes -Atk +def but i can fix that maybe.

@@zamon- TMS winning. Now that is a laugh. I voted for Itsuki and Tsubasa solely this year and my votes were all a waste because both of them only got 11th each in their division. They didn't even make top 10. Meaning IS is gonna continue ignoring them like they always do, because IS is never gonna give TMS anything new; not a single seasonal, not a harmonic, not an ascended, not a rearmed, not a legendary, hell they're most likely not even gonna give them any refines. That's how much IS hates TMS, hates the fans of TMS, and thinking they have any chance of winning is a literal joke.

For me, I'm stuck between Corrin and Robin for CYL. I'm still hoping Stefan gets a chance to be added in the game this year since I gave him all of my votes.
For the Valentines banner, I'm probably going for Duo Elise. However, I'm glad that Effie is free. I never really liked her too much due to the armor, but she does look really good with the art for this Alt. It is weird since I don't mind how Male armored units look and wouldn't mind them adding Louis, Oswin, Kellam, or Tauroneo to the game.
As with everything else, I do like the Arena and summoning Focus changes the most. This was a pretty good Feh Channel.
I ended up going for Green since I had the best chance and ended up getting Su.Dimitri #5. Didn't want him, but it is Fodder for someone else I will use more. He showed up 4 times, going to the spark on the original banner.

Yeah, I'm sure she was carried by the unceremonious crowd a bit, I'm just surprised it trumped a lot of old standbys that have their fanbases. The recency bias + beautiful design + cool powers+ fantastic art is a powerful combination.
I hope they don't screw up Robin. I guess we can't count on IS to make good decisions, but maybe they learned from the backlash.
Overall some nice QOL changes. I probably would have more or less skipped the banner if it weren't for the juicy potential healer fodder from the duo.
I am actually on the group of people that thinks Gullveig has won is bs - but not in general but just this year, cause what if in worst case she turns out to be a character like Surtr or Hel, which are in general not that much liked to say it as positive as I can?
Then probably many people will regret the vote they put on her and anyone who didn't want her in that anyway still have to deal with her. And thats something I don't like. Would she have won next year, cause she turns out to be amazing to people for... more than being "Snake tits" honestly, would be fine, cool, accepted, but so... that vote could turn out to be a huge risk.
Just hope for the people (and for us others) that it will actually turn out well an worth it. :/
BUT I am pretty happy about Male Robin and Soren and will definitely get both when CyL will happen, maybe even Corrin if the Art is pretty.
But honestly I can't be to mad about the FEH Channel, cause IS gave me another Elise-Alt, which seems to be not only very pretty, but also potentially strong. Only thing I am mad about is the timing and my current Orb count. ;_;
But I will at least go to the spark for her and then it depends on the New Heroes (which I think will be a second Engage banner and if there are certain characters on it I would like to spark on that too.... or a Arcane Bow, Blue Tome or Green Tome :s) if I go further or wait for the Double Seasonal return of her for getting merges (where she could potentially share with NY Duo Askr which wouldn't be the worst unit to share with).
Overall good FEH Channel, not amazing, but solid.

I think that's a fairly common sentiment. I do like her getting a brave variant, but I also think it might be better suited for next year. That being said, I also think IS could do something really fun and clever with her manipulating time and her brave variant being incorporated into the actual story. I don't have confidence they would do it, but I still think there's untapped potential to play around with.
In either case, I'm confident she's going to have absolutely incredible art at the very least, if they keep Yoshiku at the helm for it.
The Feh Channel generally was a winner, I think. Lots of good QOL stuff to look forward to, natural additions, changes, updates. Celebration rewards are pretty great.
I think we could get the 5 skills at once thing at some point in the future.

There's a ton to unpack in this video first of all the leaks were true with cly and seasonal banner. It's amazing to see a oc win this and I'm more excited for her because most of the time they get lazy with art of non oc units that win. As for arena update we know that less and less people play arena so IS is desperate to get people to play it and that's why they added in the tickets to it but this update feels icky to it. Also it's to bad we have to wait a year to have OVER 9000 feathers max for each character. Also cool a new pity system but man it feels dirty to lock some of it away from a feh pass feels dirty especially when this game makes around a million every month.
I think everyone plays arena just for the rewards at least. The update seems geared more towards increasing the value of Legendary Heroes, honestly.
Do people have feather woes these days? I'm shocked that people are running into issues with it. I basically always have 900,000 feathers. They really shouldn't unless they squander and have like 50 projects.
It seems Special Heroes are always going to have that Feh Pass advantage. At least most of the new pity is free. They could have locked the whole thing, which isn't too far from what most gacha would do.
EDIT: Oh were you talking about Hero Merit? It is laughably easy to farm Hero Merit. Really don't see the issue there.
@@GuardianEPlays well we know from numbers posted that less and less people played arena and that's why they have given it these updates both the free ticket and now this legendary character buff because IS wants to get more people back into it and just the fact that they even buffed the rewards and this is proof of it. Because we've all seen that they only change game modes that no one plays. I'm sure new players have feather trouble because this game is far from new player friendly. Like with most games that's been around for over 4 years they have new player start up quests or rewards but this game doesn't do that. Honestly I was making a old dragon ball meme from like 15 years ago the over 9000 power level joke.
@@UndeadEggmiester The past update was for Arena, but this one is definitely centered more around the Legendaries. Hero merit and weekly participation rewards alone are a giant source of feathers for new players. And we get so many broken f2p units in the game now, f2p and new players have never had it easier, to be honest. The game's pretty darn accessible for new players as long as they realize they dont need to +10 anything for 95% of content in the game.

Not really true, they're just upgrading the oldest game modes to be consistent. Arena is one of the oldest modes in the game. Wouldn't it make sense to give it a QOL spruce up?

Won't lie, I'm not happy about Gullveig's win. At least for this CYL. If she won the next CYL after we had gotten to know her as a character I wouldn't of been mad, but for me its just the fact that she's been on screen for all of five minutes and we know nothing about her besides she wants to kill everyone for... reasons??? I'm honestly confused why it was her over somebody like Loki or Plumeria who are characters who are both attractive as hell and whom we know pretty well by this point, but then again FEH players have a bad habit of dropping female characters not named Veronica the second they get any kind of development so I shouldn't be shocked. Its a shame too, since we have so many fun OCs in this game. I would of loved to see somebody else win and for Gullveig to take the spotlight next year instead.

It's just for seasonals. You shouldn't ignore the f2p enhancements they added with the Focus Charge, celebration rewards, and 4-star special additions, and only look at the negative. You DO NOT need +10s for the majority of this game.
Dokkan units get powercrept after a month. I can still use Gen 1 FEH units in all competitive modes.
