theres always somethings i disagree on those videos: For once, i wouldnt set up "always running" as default. if you want to use sneak, smeak wont work properly in those settings. to run in the standard mode you just have to double click in the hex you wish your character to go anyways. Charisma is not useless in Fo2, it determines the party size, and followers are useful in Fo2 (different from 1) "theres no wrong choice when it comes to traits" there is, Bruiser will actively make your life harder. theres no benefit for choosing it over gifted or small frame, only massive cons. Outdoorsman doesn't prevent random encounters in Fo1, its a very neglibible useless skill, it was reworked in 2. As for the most common fallout char build tag (lockpick, speech, small gun diplosniper-esque), its very useful in Fo2, probably the best char build for first timers. while it works on Fo1, lockpick is nowhere near as necessary and you can quite easily lockpick everything in Fo1 with a simple lockpick kit and 50 points, so i would advice against tagging Lockpick. Gambling or Sneak are better choices
Every game is standalone story in the same world. You can play them in any order you want and enjoy but you will miss greater context of factions like NCR and Bos
