To all of you saying "Hip Hop is back!" that is one of the most false things a person could say about hip hop. Hip hop never died nor disappeared and came back. There are millions of starving artists out there trying to be heard, a certain percentage of them are making great music, and the thing about you people who say that "hip hop is dead" are usually the ones to bash artists who tell you to check out their music. So how you even know if it's dead if you aren't letting it live? Or going underground searching for new artists? You people are hilarious lol
Sickest! Bro! I see you... You understand that hip hop was never dead, it was just dead in the minds of the masses that live in the lie. This tape will forever hold a place in my memory. I was in my early twenties and just graduated from college. I knew that college was a brainwashing tactic midway through my experience. When Pro Era came out, they all helped me so much. I've always been a huge Hip Hop head, so hearing them was a breath of fresh air. Especially with TDE, A$AP Mob, Action Bronson, Danny Brown, and many others coming out around that timeframe too. That was probably my favorite run of Hip Hop. They all brought and bring so much to the table individually, which is why collectively they were such a breath of fresh air. It brought me back to my High School days of having a large group of homies and just enjoying and living life. Life was much easier and calmer back then, so Pro Era brought a lot of nostalgia to me. This tape is incredible and I've enjoyed the run they have had and the fact that a few of them are still on good terms. Brings back a lot of college memories and reminds me of how much simpler things seemed a decade ago. Still remember hearing this my junior year in highschool one of the greatest projects in hip hop history
R.I.P. Capital Steez for the short time you were here, your impact on hip hop has been immense. thanks.
this is the best rap album of this era... great beats, dope lyrics, dope artist i miss stuff like thatt
This is a mixtape, we're in a new decade. Definitely one of the best tapes of the 2010's though
Check out Al Divino, Raz Fresco, Daniel Son, Asun Eastwood, Koncept Jack$on, Lord Apex. Too much ill music that been out
I know man.. new decade new music but i personally love the 2010 sound particularly. I def. Know a few of those artists but thanks for recommendation... Keep doing the good work, we must keep this music alive ✨💪🏼
Can't believe it's been 9 years since this gem released
pro era the greatest hip hop group of all time
Idk about that one lol they were a huge staple. Love these guys.
@@wav.yliving Just my opinion, I stand by the statement though for a couple personal reasons, not necessarily based off of just rap ability and skills alone. Also worth mentioning that they’re just the only hip hop group that’s made a tremendous impact on my own generation. Obviously if i grew up in the 90s i wouldnt say this lol
Never get tired of this, not something you can say for all music.
I can’t believe this is 7 years old I was only 13 when this came out I miss those days
An eternal classic even a decade later. Rest eazy STEELO
HERE IN 2019! Heard them when they posted this on Datpiff!!! Since 2012 I'm still bumping this!! Peace and Love!
bumping this while snow outside whole different type of shit
Iam at the beach watching people surf and it fits well
Even tho i was born in 2008 am glad i grew up with boom bap instead of mumble
just got the biggest smile on my face getting this recommend to me on my homepage! i remember being the biggest PE fan in high school and all the memories i have with old friends skipping class and smoking to this tape and all the other New York stuff coming out at that time.... much simpler times.
Hip Hop never died, Its just buried alive, but its slowly rising up
