Personally I would’ve put Samara above Paige and Allison it’s a shame we didn’t see more of her :( but Maya definitely was Emily’s best love interest I love them together
I feel like many of her love interests were so short lived and we hardly get to know the characters. Like Samara for example? I mean she was only in a few episodes and then she is never heard or seen from again.🙄 I liked her and Maya the most. I also liked Alison even though their relationship were rushed.

“Paige never seemed to have gotten over what had happened with Alison” uhhhh yeah, Alison tormented Paige for her sexuality/crush on Emily, threatened to tell her homophobic dad, bully her during field hockey, and the harassment was so bad that Paige considered s*icide. How else would a person react to their ex falling in love with someone who almost cost them their life?
People also seem to forget all the crap Alison put Emily (the girls and literally half of Rosewood) through. But since the writers want you to root for them they only hate on Paige

you guys are putting Paige below a literal murderer that killed her girlfriend and tried to kill her and her friend? Yes Paige did try to drown Emily but she definitely feels horrible about doing that and most likely was just angry at Alison. Like if you cut out that one scene, Paige is amazing, not as amazing as Maya but even with that scene, she is not even as close as bad as Lyndon.

I think Emily should respect herself more and never date anyone who bullied her before. Even if I dislike Maya, she was the one that really loved Emily and treated her well. I also loved the idea of her and Toby being together (I even shipped Emily with Ezra lol).
As for Paige. People say she was overprotective. But so is Caleb and anyway fans adored him and were less angy with him for that.

Alright, so let's talk about Emily. Emily is my favorite liar and I think it has a lot to do with my love for Shay Mitchell. I love her so much. She is so so beautiful and if I'm being honest, I do have a bit of a woman crush on her. I love her so much, especially in this show. Now, when it comes to her love interests, I do agree with your rankings for the most part. The bottom two guys, disgusting. Fuck Lyndon for killing Maya and then having the audacity to lie, manipulate, and take advantage of Emily and her grief over Maya. Hate him. He is the ultimate scumbag and I'm really happy Emily killed him and got justice for Maya. Lyndon got what he deserved. Plain and simple. Ben is just dull and a douchebag and the fact that he tried to force himself on Emily is disgusting. Glad they got rid of him quickly in the show. However, when it comes to Toby, I think him and Emily were really cute and sweet and I'd probably rank them higher to be honest even though she was gay and it wouldn't have worked. It's kind of a shame. I kinda wish they had made Emily bisexual and maybe explored that relationship a bit further. Toby is no doubt the best guy for her and I like him better than some of the other female love interests you put above him. I would also rank Paige lower because I didn't much care for her and the relationship with Emily. Paige wasn't very good to her at all. Trying to drown her and the whole drama with them I didn't like at all. They had their moments, but ultimately I don't like them all that much to be honest. I think Emily's top 3 should be Alison, Maya, and Samara. Even though Samara is only in the show briefly there was a lot of potential there and I'd probably have her at number 2 above Maya because I love Claire Holt as well and there was soooo much potential with them. They could have been so great and I'm so sad that they didn't bring her back. There was definitely chemistry and I think if Emison couldn't be endgame I would want her to end up with Samara. I would have loved that. Such wasted potential. A real shame. I do love Emily and Maya though because they had really great chemistry and the actress who plays Maya is gorgeous. The fact that they killed her off is such a shame. Maya was Emily's first real love after Alison and Maya was so supportive and good to Emily when she was first coming out as gay. Emily wasn't ashamed about being gay with Maya like she was with Alison and I really liked that. Wouldn't have opposed to them being endgame but I am a Emison shipper so I did want her to end up with Alison, but still, another example of wasted potential with Maya as well. My poor girl Emily deserved better. The writers really fucked things up with her and it makes me so mad. This is proven with the whole Emily and Alison thing. Again, wasted potential. I already explained why I loved Emison so much in the Alison video and I agree with what you said about them having potential and the writers screwing it all up. I feel like the kiss at the end of season 5 was so good and I think they should have still been together after the time jump. They should've explored things further and slowly worked up to the proposal and take out all that nonsense with Emily's eggs and Alison getting pregnant because of the creepy man she was with. That whole thing was so messed up and should not have happened. Even though the writers really messed up their story I do still love them together and I hope their relationship is portrayed better in the books. I'm excited to read the books. I'm also so mad about the whole divorce thing. Don't even get me started on that. Emison deserved better. That's all I'm gonna say. Emily deserved better too. I agree that Emily had it the worse on the show. My girl went through so much shit and they really ruined the ending for her which makes me so sad because Emily is my baby. She is precious. I do want to add one of my very unrealistic ships which is Emily and Aria. I love them both so much. They're my 2 favorite liars and in my own little fantasy they would be together. Both of them are amazing. The moral here though is that Emily deserved better. All the liars deserved better. I love them all.

I will agree that the drowning and being mean initially is pretty bad but Paige does a lot of things that imo make up for it, I really liked when she worked with Caleb to go after A, saving Spencer on the halloween train, always doing her best to protect Emily and sure Paige has her toxic moments but she never joins A, tries to dissuade Mona’s anti Ali army in season 5, and while you could say that slipping the police the Ali is alive note is fucked, so is bullying someone into almost pressing the self delete button
And don’t forget, Alison spent a lot of her friendship with Emily queerbaiting and gaslighting her because she knew how much Emily loved her
