Turn a Skateboard into a Pen! || How-To Wood Lathe Project

My buddy Nate from Nate Or Die ( / nateordie ) hooked me up with the awesome Bear Maked animation for my video Intro. In return, I took a skateboard and made him a pen. Watch along with this video as a show how I did it. And be sure to check out his channel for some ACTUAL skateboard tricks.

I love how you show that even when a project doesn't go exactly according to script... it's still salvageable (at least sometimes).

Thanks Brad! This one's actually a Nova lathe, but probably similar to the HF and other smaller lathes. And yeah, that's one of my favorite parts of my lathe projects, they are typically a one-day thing.

I've made a couple pencils, and, yes, would like to make more. Maybe when I get into resin casting my own blanks, I'll make one or two with dice embedded in resin 😎
