Hi Kealy, glad to see you're back. Great decision on the master's. Extra education is never a bad idea 😄. For a woven top, you might try the How to do Fashion Danmark top. It's a freebie (I've downloaded it but not printed it yet because our printer is not working. Sigh) which is always handy and might offer the open neckline you're after. I'm more into open necklines because I have a bit of a pad of muscle at the back of my neck, which means high necks don't sit very well. All the best!
Kealy, it’s so good to see your smiling face! I’m SO excited for your decision to get your masters in art. I know it will be worth all the time, energy and expense. Many of us have more than one creative outlet and it’s important to nourish them all. I have been neglecting my own art for several months now, but have found tremendous pleasure in my sewing and have been really stretching myself. As always, you have beautiful fabrics. I can’t wait to see what you do.
Hiya 🐱 glad to see you. Lovely fabrics! I have made a couple of blouses using the Sew Over It Lulu dress pattern, love them. Best of luck with the master's degree 👍
I love your fabric choices. The Rhapsody Blouse and Dress by Love Notions may be a nice choice for a blouse for you with its feminine open neck with ties that can be tied or left open. I have seen so many versions of this blouse on the internet and it is in my queue for my summer makes.
I completely agree Kealy, having clothes that fit is so important and a big part of why we sew! You've got some lovely plans, and I hope that these new garments bring you a lot of joy!
Hi Kelly, have you seen the Harmony top by Love Notions.? it’s for wovens , I think you could easily redraft the neckline and It has sleeve variations. I have made it in medium weight viscose by Mind the Malker which drapes nicely.
Love all your fabric designs and colours.I'd make a wrap dress in the Japanese print fabric to enhance the Oriental feel.Looking forward to seeing your fabrics made up.Good luck with your masters.
Thank you for taking the time to film and share your plans, I can't wait to see your makes, but only when you're up for air lol. Seriously struggling with my weight in lockdown (also have thyroid issues) so go you on your 10000 steps! All the best with your MA x
Hi there. It’s lovely to see a video from you. I’ve been worried you might have been ill. Good to hear your exciting study plans. A woven blouse I’ve just made and LOVE is the Aisling blouse from Jennifer Lauren Handmade. Lovely open square neck.
So nice to see you.again! Happy to hear you are feeling more energetic and are able to tackle new projects. All your fabric choices are lovely and I am sure you are excited to start creating some new clothing. I wanted to tell you about the Itch to Stitch Seychelles top. It is a v-neck top with short or long sleeves and cup size options. It is great with drapery fabrics. Can’t wait to see your makes!
good to see you and your gorgeous fabrics Kealy, very inspiring I think the blue spotted rayon would look lovely as the By Hand London Hannah wrap dress - top version.
I have 5m of the Ruby Society cotton which I plan to make either a Zadie Jumpsuit or BHL Anna dress. I like your skirt plans too. Good to see you back and good luck on your studies x
Lovely to see you kealy . I'm glad you're well and busy studying 😉 I love love 💟 all the fabrics you bought. I have same problems with my body shape. I have gone for simple loose fitting but not too loose. V_neck and rap round dress or skirt and rap round top, tie string to the side waistband sounds good. 😃🌸👗🎽💚 .
Lovely fabric haul - so difficult to resist buying! The blue/white dot would look good in Butterick B5997. I've made 3 of these in slightly different fabrics and styles, it's easy to hack and grade out to suit a pear shape (me)
Really nice to hear from you. Love the fabrics and your plans sound good. Your Masters sounds really interesting - good luck with it - do let us know how you find it, especially in terms of supporting your creativity.
I quite like the Heron blouse, have not made it myself yet though. It might be a bit too unstructured and bohemian for your taste. You don't tend to go for loose, baggy, flowy things. Do you like ruffles at all? If so, maybe the Davenport dress.
Hi Kealy. I've missed you. Hope you are doing well and taking good care of yourself…xx. You should take a look at the Norma blouse by fibre mood - v-neck, collarless, button front, with cool sleeves…
The love notions rhapsody is a really lovely woven top pattern. It is open necked and has a yoke at the back. Lots of sleeve options too. Tomkat Stitchery has a UA-cam video making it.
Beautiful fabrics can’t wait to see the finish garments 👗🥰
So good to see you love your fabrics I am sure what you make will be beautiful. Good luck with school.

Great to have you back. Congratulations on the master course. I lower every neckline (almost) can’t have them close. No collars either. Stay well 👗👚🧵

Try Love Notion Patterns, large variety and reasonable prices..
I'll check it out! thanks
Re: Jersey dress patterns - have you tried the Nina Lee Mayfair? I think it could work great for those viscose/tencel/modal jersey fabrics!
Yes I have tried it once but I messed up when I traced and ended up making it massive, I need to try it again as I love the style.

Hi I was going to suggest this pattern, I love it. So many different sleeve options and a quick, stylish sew
Aww I will have a look, thanks for suggesting a pattern.
Hi - would you mind linking the geometric jersey please. I’ve looked and looked in Minerva but can’t find it x
I had linked it but something odd happened when I copied my description from word. The link should be there now.
@@VoiceofaCreative you’re a star thanks x
