So I’m only a few miles “if that” from the copper mines. 2 videos ago I had a super weird feeling while out there. I kept thinking I heard twigs snapping and rocks rolling. I wasn’t comfortable at all that trip. For some reason I have the feeling they have naturally gone south but I couldn’t be sure.
Bigfoot is a rare,smart,dangerous sentient being that deserves to have protective status. Do not shoot a bigfoot unless you have to,because they travel in pairs or groups. If you shoot one the others will get you.Do not whistle because they might consider it a challenge. If something starts throwing rocks at you, leave immediately the way you came, because it's a warning.If you smell something strange then the bigfoot is 10-20 feet away from you so walk in the direction of the wind and away from the source of the smell. If you hear something beating a tree leave right away because it's their way of calling others to help in the hunt. Do not try to out run them because they can run 40mph even over hilly terrain.If you have to shoot back up to a tree and discharge your weapon.Never go into the woods alone. Never go into the woods with only small caliber weapons. Carry a flare with you. Remember they can climb big trees not small ones because they weight 500lbs full grown.People disappear in the woods all the time. DO NOT BECOME A STATISTIC!DO NOT INVESTIGATE WEIRD SOUNDS OR SIGHTS IN THE WOODS.If you see footprints take a picture with your cell and get out of there ASAP.
The 1 my friends and I saw was 700lbs EASY. 9' tall and honestly 5' from shoulder to shoulder with tree trunks for legs. We were in complete AWE of his size.
this is very good advice--they are not warm and fuzzy creatures--why would they be ? the show Finding Bigfoot made out that they were harmless--this is a great disservice to people -- I believe that is putting people at risk---no one should go into the wildness alone, and should not hang around trying to figure out what the strange sounds/smells might be. Leave immediately.

I hope i never have the same experience you did. I am certain i would have let it eat that entire magazine through that window and that is only because I carry three spare fully loaded ones every where I go! You know, as many of these as I have listened too. It seems to heighten my sense of awareness in the bush. I always, carry protection (always have) when walking in the bush, fishing, hunting, etc. I realize it may be a "false sense of security". But, I also live in black, and brown bear country. Oh, and usually have can of pepper spray. Just in case I have need to cook something on an open fire. And maybe just in case "they" need some seasoning. Thanks Dave, I really enjoy the stories. :-)
I believe a factor in this creature NOT attacking the teacher was that the Sasquatch mistook the metal detector for a weapon. Because, they do know what a weapon is!
Holy moly, I am just 35 minutes from copper and applegate lake. Do you happen to know when this encounter happened ? And thankyou for sharing. I also found myself a copper nugget just recently.
You wanna hear bigfoot? Go to the natl forest around kyburz cali. Howl like a wolf when you’re camping. They’ll let you know it’s their territory that night.
Slurping your drink is something you might find a child doing but as they get older they can be trained out of it. It's very bad manners. Imagine sitting at the table and the kids copy the dad so your sitting at a table of slurping people, so rude. It's not necessary.
About 15yrs ago, I visited a friend in Applegate, he and I hiked up to the copper mines, up onto the rocky side that I feared could slide. I don't think this Sasquatch(s) was hunting this person. Like most encounters, they just wanted you to leave their forest. There might have been a family unit with young ones close by.
