Hi! Just wanted to say a special thanks because I'm getting my art career going now, including some local shows, and your videos are the MOST helpful I can find. Wishing you a great & successful winter market season and 2025!
Thank you so much for the super chat! I don't get them very often, so it means a lot. I love knowing that my videos are making a difference in your journey as an artist. Best of luck with your shows and have an amazing winter market season as well :)
I 100% agree with all of your points here! This past year I did eight local area art festivals, and I’ve sold more art this year than I ever did when I was solely online. There is definitely a learning curve to know what is going to sell and how to sell and how to set up a booth correctly, but you’ve pretty much covered all of it in your videos so it should be very helpful to someone wanting to go down this path!
Thanks for sharing your experience with your art business. There are lots of ups and downs when it comes to selling art for a living, but one thing I figured out is just keep going. If you try enough things eventually some of them will start working! And yes, in person selling to me seems like the easiest of all the revenue streams to get going from a sales perspective. It's a lot of hard work, but easier to make sales than online.
@@KrystleColeArthi Krystle! I wasn’t home I was out at ranch house. It was my brother in laws mother’s 90th birthday. The reception over is horrendous, but now I am back home. Internet is back!
This was a great video and gave me some things to think and plan for in the future. I've been trying to sell my work on and off via my website for 9 years (I've had to take maternity and move several times) but I know my work sells better in person at the shows and events I've been part of. I'm just hesitant to get into live events like festivals and such because it's a lot of work to set up and transport the art.... And the cost to get started when I'm not sure I'll love it, but like you said, people want to buy from people, easier to trust then online and AI art. Thank you for sharing your insights. I'll be watching more of your videos!
You're correct that doing art fairs is a lot of work, expensive start/set up, and sometimes it's not very fun. Bad weather, bad customers, etc. But for me at least, if I wouldn't have figured out how to do art fairs and selling in person, I wouldn't have been able to support myself full-time off of my art business. I think everyone has their own path when it comes to selling their art, so they're definitely other things to try. But if you've tried everything else, and it hasn't worked, it might be time to give art fairs a chance :)
Excellent video! The road to artistic success is not easy- the internet can assist you in finding sales locations or to get your art in front of the public- but unfortunately, there is no “best way” - art appreciation is extremely subjective- and fickle- successful art comes through continued exposure- keep trying!
To my knowledge, there's not a lot you can do with AI stealing your art. I guess you could not ever upload it to the Internet. But that's not practical if you wanna sell art online. There are some software/apps that make it harder for AI to read the image of the art, but some say this doesn't work very well either.
I like being an artist much better now that I am making a full-time income from it. It has allowed me the freedom to do whatever I want in my life. I can follow my passions, create whatever I want when I want. yes there are a lot of business things to do, but I like the business side of it too.

Sorry Krystle, I have bad internet reception, but I got to see y a little bit of this video. Thank you 🙏 so much for all of your pointers !
It sucks when Internet isn't working right. Sometimes that happens at my house as well. Best of luck on getting it back going! Thanks for watching!

another great post. thank you. I don't see the link for zapplication though. is that what you were saying?
Oops! Forgot to add it, link is in the description now 😀
Thanks for this! How do you protect your art becoming copied by someone creating AI art? Is it just copyrighting it? So anti any AI art!

How many days do you take to create one of your paintings?
About 2weeks, sometimes only a week if it’s small
Do you have any paintings of the dancing bears?
No only grizzlies and pandas
Did you like being an artist more when you were a hobbyist than now, when your art has to pay the bills, please?

@KrystleColeArt That's great! Thanx! 🤗
Do you believe in life after death?
I'm not sure how this pertains to selling art in 2025 lol
@@KrystleColeArtIt doesn’t. But my days are numbered, and I just want to be 100% sure before I go
Glad to see you getting more engagement! Keep up the good work. 🪻🌻
Thank you!! 😊
