Watching this made me realize just how many different meanings red and green have to Ranboo. Red and green eyes, red and green blood. Red and green, Tommy and Tubbo, his best friends. Red and green, Techno and Dream, his mentors/influences. Red and green, Wilbur and Sam, the men responible for the loss of his canon lives.
So, is anyone else gonna mention how Dream's lyrics act like responses to Ranboo's lyrics and vice versa. Like "Can you hear them too? Is it me or is it you?" with Dream's "Can't hear it must be you. Your mind's being used.". Also, fantastic detail in that in the original stream there were 94 lessons, but in the chorus Ranboo says there are 93, because he disobeyed one of them. He let people know what he had done, and he payed the price for it with his life. Love the details in this song.
Also, just now noticed this but since a lot of Dream's lyrics are responses to Ranboo's, it gives a whole new meaning to "Allies can't rely on something or someone who's living a pure lie.", since that lyric corresponds to Ranboo's lyric "Maybe I comply with my own trust with my own mind I'm my own ally". This changes Dream's lyric from being about other people, to being about how Ranboo can't even trust himself, since he's his own ally.
More connections I just noticed but Dream responds to Ranboo again with "Can they see all you've ever known is nothing?" connecting to Ranboo's "Deciets and shattered loving prove that loyalty is nothing" since loyalty to people is all that Ranboo has ever known, and he can't stop himself from betraying them.
My favorite part is when CG5 says, "Eccedentesiast, if you gain a favor take it." Eccedentesiast is such a unique word, it means "one who fakes a smile" I love how it was incorporated into the song. Amazing and beautiful work as always, this is absoluteness gorgeous.

Already I was blown away by this song, the instrumental, lyrics, and animation all weave together in this emotion filled, yet laid back style that allows you to feel Ranboo's remorse. But oh my god, CG5 coming in for the second verse, actually acting as Dream manipulating Ranboo, and working his way in to harmonize with Ranboo was _ingenious._ Halfy you are so underrated, beautiful work you two!
I absolutely love this song after replaying it I actually understand Ranboo's side of the story and Im not a big Ranboo fan It's sad to think even that Dream was locked up in prison for almost a year and he barely even recovered from him hopefully he's doing well in limbo in ghostboo also I love dream in here omg he looks good :OO Edit: I find it funny that Dream calls Ranboo a "eccedentesiast" or someone who fakes a smile when Dream also fakes a smile with his mask. Perfect, just perfect. A reprise of Ranboo's lore. The lyrics- it matches up so well and the harmonies in some places are just AAAA, and the animation is so smooth and thought out (and in the end sad :')- You really outdid yourselves this time :D (Just ignore me accidentally learning the lyrics by heart and playing this on repeat)
Even I have managed to learn them and I didn't even realize it.... I am singing it on repeat everyday. For me this is the perfect song to play on repeat in the background while doing other stuff, especially drawing.

It’s so cool if you have headphones on when he’s singing the lessons it feels like he’s speaking inside my mind or something it’s just so cool and sends a bit of chills down my spine or something. It’s hard to describe sorry I’m really bad at describing things! It’s really cool. The whole song is really good and I’m adding it to my playlist the minute it drops on Spotify. The animation as always is really good too and the way the colours are used look really nice and especially Ranboo’s expressions are amazing in the animation. I am absolutely blown away by this! Halfy's astounding animation that invokes so much feeling, THE INSTRUMENTAL AT THE BEGINNING (gotta be my favorite part, it's so addicting and really catches the audience), Winks and CG5 both singing alone and TOGETHER, everything is so perfect. There was never a better match-up for a duet, I'm certain of that. Not to mention that the lyrics are so perfect for both Ranboo and Dream's character and the relationship between the two. You couldn't have possibly done better, and this has to be the greatest Dream SMP song (or, if I may go so far, the best song in general) I've ever heard. I'm completely hooked! WOAH!! This is incredible!! The way it's done is too perfect, and CG5's voice fits Dream's playful dark villainy so well while Winks voiced the complicated fear and pain of Ranboo perfectly. I like how it’s only when he’s dead and a ghost that you can see both colours of his face. Before you couldn’t see the black and white, just shades that reflected what everything else looked like.

I am absolutely blown away by this! Halfy's astounding animation that invokes so much feeling, THE INSTRUMENTAL AT THE BEGINNING (gotta be my favorite part, it's so addicting and really catches the audience), Winks and CG5 both singing alone and TOGETHER, everything is so perfect. There was never a better match-up for a duet, I'm certain of that. Not to mention that the lyrics are so perfect for both Ranboo and Dream's character and the relationship between the two. You couldn't have possibly done better, and this has to be the greatest Dream SMP song (or, if I may go so far, the best song in general) I've ever heard. I'm completely hooked! Thank you to all three of you for your fantastic work!

WOAH!! This is incredible!! The way it's done is too perfect, and CG5's voice fits Dream's playful dark villainy so well while Winks voiced the complicated fear and pain of Ranboo perfectly. The instrumental forces tears in itself, while the whole of the song is a beautiful illustration of trajedy. Well done everyone!!
