Maybe its just me but I feel like the target audience for people interested in Japanese culture is alot more wide and diverse(from modern pop culture to traditional culture, martial arts, outdoor activities etc.) compared to Korean, whos main target is younger people who specifically likes kdrama and kpop.
In Japan, you’ll see tons of foreign tourists ranging anywhere from group of young college students to families with little kids to elderly couples whereas in Korea, it was mainly younger people in their 20s or 30s.

I think ppl in the west r attracted to the safety, cleanliness, efficiency, along with the food, the various tourist attractions, combined with the favorable exchange rate. They'll welcome tourists from anywhere. In that sense, it may seem welcoming to the left. But if u live & work there, u will find that Japan is very strict & conservative. But before u start throwing your race cards, u have to honestly ask yourself if the positive aspects of Japan would stay intact if it adapted western woke standards. Bc in contrast, being strict with Americans seems to be completely off the table. Everyone in the US is a superstar, & anyone who is not is automatically a victim. U also have to consider the irony of newer western nations who've only been around for a few hundred years telling Asian countries (some with thousands of years of history), how to best run their countries.

One reason is that Telugu is the primary language of the city of Hyderabad in Telangana and the city is well known as being a large Tech Hub in India. The other reason is because of the breakaway international success of RRR in 2022 which is a Telugu film that has been dubbed in other languages. Those are my two cents.

Behind every tasty Japanese dish are chefs who spent years training as an apprentice while also getting verbally & possibly physically abused by their masters. Although the final product may seem fun & spontaneous, J-Pop stars rehearse every word & every move thousands of times. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Shohei Ohtani is a virgin. I hate to break it to this audience but Japan is the favorite Asian country for the whole world period. I really really appreciate that the Fung Bros brought the stats but it doesn't matter, Japan still has decades & decades of coolness associated with it, that no Asian country still has.

Chinese is the most useful language but it is very hard to learn therefore people choose to learn Korean or Japanese. I learned, English, Chinese and Korean that’s why know the difference. Most difficult language for me to learn is Chinese. Also if you speak English and Chinese you don’t need to learn any other languages it is not necessary. Chinese is considerably as an English like international language nowadays based on huge number of people speaking it and also economically it is a strong country in the world. Korean is super easy to learn it has only about 40 some alphabets and Chinese Kanzi is endless 😅

Come on yo.. there's no way Korean would sound better than Mandarin.. Also I don't know how the stat could have Korean higher than Mandarin. If you look at all the colleges and universities across the US, there's far more Chinese language classes than Korean

When I watch Won Kar Wai movies, Chinese sound so smooth and eloquent but dont know if they're speaking Mandarin or Cantonese. Then when I hear everyday Chinese person on the street speak- OMG, I can't, gotta run.
