Mind Over Munch I love international foods!! I’m obsessed with sesame snacks. Growing up we made sesame honey cashews 🤤 Can you please make Thai or Korean inspired bentos next? ☺️
OmyGosh candied Fennel seeds! 🤤 I am So totally making those! Fun fact: Jicama is a PRE-biotic food 👍 to your health! 🤗 Love your videos! 💕👏🏅 also the Black bean crackers, mushroom chips and Lebnah I gotta make these... *Oh... babaaay...
I wonder if as a video idea you could do some 'healthy' but higher calorie ideas for athletes/ other demographics of people who need a large amount of calories, but who want to fuel their body cleanly! So many people on my sports team resort to junk to keep us energised through 32 hour training weeks, but I'm really eager for high calorie/ low volume/ healthy ways to fuel my body!
healthy oils and carbs, avocados, dried fruit, any kind of nut (macadamias are very high calorie!!), pasta dishes, homemade granola, etc. are all very good. :) i take those kinds of things with me backpacking.
Can we all acknowledge how exhausted we all are just WATCHING her try and placate all the haters! Just CALM down, people!! She's making delicious Bentos! Not trying to run the UN!!
i just re found your channel after a really long time of not watching, i missed you. i love all the inventive and healthy snack ideas, i get a lot of good inspiration from them
Me to myself before watching this: there’s gonna be an Indian one, Mediteranian one, an Asian esque one and a Mexican one. Me after watching: Oh dang I did THAT
Those candied fennel seeds remind me of something we have in The Netherlands. Candied anise, or muisjes ( little mice) that we use when someone gave birth. Pink and white or blue and white. It's awesome
Any chance of coming up with gluten-free Asian recipes like dough for dumplings or wontons. At least we don't have to worry about being dairy free since most Asians are lactose intolerance. Also replacing the egg will also be a challenge.
I love these ideas!! I’ve been cutting out a lot of pasta and rice and been struggling. These look amazing! I’m going to try all of them out with my mom.
It's sad that you feel like you even have to pre-apologize for making food that some super-sensitive person will think you're insulting their culture . I understand that people are overly sensitive nowadays and you don't want anyone to feel that way, but man what a messed up society do we live in where we can't even make food without worrying about hurting someone's feelings.
I know loads of people would be offended by what I cook because I kind of never ever cook food from my own culture but instead cook food from everywhere else but adapted to my sensory needs and tastes. But...I kind of don't care. Be offended all you like, I just wanna eat.
You can also make a layered salad, kinda like shuba but without the fish. You could use seaweed as a layer for the fishy taste! And berries and mushrooms are always a good addition :)
The only time I really snack is when I get home from work - usually a but before I do my workout and a bit after - but I never have anything prepared for this part of my day and end up just having some chips or crackers. I think I’ll start putting more thought into it and do snacks like these! Great video!
Love these bento box ideas! Just throwing this out there but maybe you can make a video on how to keep eating healthy after having your teeth extracted. I just went through this myself and had to think really hard about mushy foods that were healthy and not boring.
I recently tried to roast mushrooms but they went too long and we're burnt. But the crispiness was cool cause it felt like a chip. I am so happy to see it IS possible to get a mushroom chip the correct way and not burnt to all hell. I will definitely be trying that one out!
This is wonderful! You read my mind when you said all coconut sugar won't work with the fennel seeds. Why? What happened? Have you tried half erythritol half coconut sugar? I guess you've had, but I was curious. I'll have to give those bentos a try! Thank you!!
I would love more non-soy high protein vegetarian ideas! I've done split pea soup and various iterations of beans. (I'm not vegetarian, but I'm trying to reduce meat intake for ethical and financial reasons.)
Yum! These look so tasty, nice to have a change for lunchtime and easily veganisable for me. Noticed that you're a bit fed up with unnecessary criticism. Well I've followed your videos for quite a while and still enjoy your great ideas and even more your well produced videos. What is most inspiring is your upbeat presentation, that's a winner.
Takes the bag of bag of chick peas for myself and then washes them then enjoys them as a vampire after seasoning it with the same seasonings without garlic
I hope you guys enjoy these snack boxes inspired by cultures and cuisines around the world! Let me know if you want more-and where from!?

This is amazing I love it!

Alyssia - these all look great but you gotta do cucumbers with labne - classic combo!!

I was eagerly waiting for Indian Bento. We don't usually get avacados or many fancy stuff here so your snacks ideas were amazing!!!!

Semi Veg as long as she doesn’t claim it’s traditional or accurate there’s no issue really aha! She’s just inspired by their food
I know loads of people would be offended by what I cook because I kind of never ever cook food from my own culture but instead cook food from everywhere else but adapted to my sensory needs and tastes. But...I kind of don't care. Be offended all you like, I just wanna eat.
On UA-cam, I think we always have to worry about hurting someone's feelings... it is sad! But I try to be respectful.
Really want to see what you make in Russian Bento Box, because its really hard(traditionally we dont have any vegeterian options)
nice idea!
Vinegret, olivier salad without the chicken, potato / spinach / cabbage / mushroom / tofu “cheese” vareniki, golubtzi with veggie ground/TVP/crumbled tofu, morkovka po koreiski, pickles, sauerkraut, maybe a salad with grechka (buckwheat) 😋
You can also make a layered salad, kinda like shuba but without the fish. You could use seaweed as a layer for the fishy taste! And berries and mushrooms are always a good addition :)
Thanks for new snack ideas! I think i will be trying them all.
:)

Fun fact: Jicama is a PREbiotic food 👍 to your health
awesome!
Most prebiotics are fibers, so all vegetables are prebiotic food
For the mushroom chips, can I use butter if I don't have ghee?
eilish fitzgerald yes or oil
butter would burn, it doesn't have high smoke point like ghee
sure :)
Don't apologize for anything! Your food is awesome. xoxo

*the Southern Hemisphere has left the chat*
Howucjndidnyou spend on the ingredients? And what's the difference from your neighborhood one?
I have a coconut allergy. What can I use in place of coconut sugar?
Amber Bowen xylitol
Same!
This is wonderful! You read my mind when you said all coconut sugar won't work with the fennel seeds. Why? What happened? Have you tried half erythritol half coconut sugar? I guess you've had, but I was curious. I'll have to give those bentos a try! Thank you!!
I haven't tried with erythritol-but for some reason, just the coconut sugar alone wouldn't harden up properly!
I would love more non-soy high protein vegetarian ideas! I've done split pea soup and various iterations of beans. (I'm not vegetarian, but I'm trying to reduce meat intake for ethical and financial reasons.)
okay great, thanks :)
Alyssia (i hope i spelled it right) you are my hero
That mexican chocolate is to make hot coco, that's why its texture is kindda rustic. I still take bites off em.
Yum! These look so tasty, nice to have a change for lunchtime and easily veganisable for me. Noticed that you're a bit fed up with unnecessary criticism.
