    At $1000 au pricetag this is a joke. How are these worth 3 times the rode wireless go system? It’s irresponsible recommending these without listing cheaper options. (Obviously a paid review) If you just want something for your phone get a ulanzi j12 for $46 au. Are they as good? Nope but are they good enough for social media etc. yes

      This is NOT a paid review. I always disclose when it is. You said it yourself - you’re upset with the price difference that gets you from “good enough” to “good.” That’s not my problem.

      @@itstheBMAC ok so it’s not a paid review, maybe they sent you a free pair? but coming back to my question, why is it 3 times the price of a wireless go ii? This is the biggest question I think most will ask. I can’t see them selling many at this price point when there are a few other things out there much cheaper and most likely similar audio quality. I just think it’s a very important part of the discussion when recommending things like this. If you got a free pair sent to you, you probably don’t want to bring up any negative points as you may be afraid that people won’t send you free stuff anymore. Am I wrong? I’m just not a fan of when reviews only say good things about products so as to follow the hype meanwhile omitting the downsides.

      @@theinfinate You are wrong. I never will and never have been worried about saying something negative about a product even when I was sent the product for free. You must be new here and it’s obvious to me you didn’t even watch the entire video because I very clearly disclose that I was sent these for review. These are not 3x the price here in the USA and one of their main selling points is that you can use them directly to a smartphone without a receiver. Other systems don’t allow for that. There are a lot of reasons why these are great for their price and I cover all of them in this video. You might want to consider actually watching it.

    This is not a review. You didn't go outside once?? You didn't test the distance it can receive once? How can you recommend it if you haven't tested it? This is at best a "featured post"

    • @itstheBMAC
      @itstheBMAC  4 місяці тому

      This is absolutely a review. Did you not watch all of it? I very clearly state the distance that the MoveMic is capable of at 5:30. Why are you completely ignoring that?

      @@itstheBMAC saying it and showing it happening are two very different things... If i were to buy a camera lens off of someone telling me that its great without actually showing me the results of said greatness i'd be the idiot... If i were to hire someone on a shoot because they told me they were a great DOP instead of actually showing me their work... i'd be the pleb... A review shows us the practical application of a product in practice, so that we, the viewer, can make an informed decision ourselves about if we want to purchase the product or not...? I'm not wrong here... This isn't a review... its a recommendation... You've just decided that adding an element (like most reviewers do) of practical application outside of your studio is too much work for the money you're getting out of this... Don't blame me for pointing it out...

    How does the direct to iPhone (Bluetooth) vs Receiver to iPhone quality compare?

    why would you run a wire into your phone receiver?
    what bit rate does it record in...? also is using two for recording an audio playback from a hifi system going to be better than just one...will it give stereo in one or do i need to record with two mics❓the Lark mics i had, would not connect into my iphone with my case on!

      Connecting the receiver to my iPhone USB-C port allows me to have more control over the two separate channels that two MoveMics can offer, which is helpful for isolating different speakers, for example - one MoveMic for the left channel, one MoveMic of the right channel. From what I understand the MoveMics are capable of capturing audio in 48 kHz / 24-Bit. Hope this helps!

    Hoping this is better quality and signal than the rode go's and 7artisan versions. It shure does look like a roach tho imo.

    Hello. Great job. Two questions: can I pair it with my iphone 15 pro max, so I can film with the native app or the blackmagic camera app and use the sound of the mic?

      Thanks for watching and for the kind words! To answer your question, it appears that you can only use the MoveMic as an audio source when capturing audio or video from within the Shure MOTIV app (Audio or Video) itself when connected direct-to-phone. I have tested this with the native iOS camera app and the Blackmagic Camera app and neither use the MoveMic for an audio source as there is no way to select it (even when confirming the MoveMic is, indeed, connected in the Bluetooth menu). It looks like, for now, you'll be limited to using just the MOTIV apps when direct-to-phone...
      HOWEVER, you can use the Hardware Receiver and connect to the iPhone that way and that will enable you to use them as your audio source!
      TLDR: Direct-to-phone you're limited to using Shure MOTIV apps. Through the receiver, you can use the MoveMics as an audio source in any compatible app.
      I hope this helps!
