Jay, the auto shut-off issue you raise doesn't exist - at least not now. I've just left both my transmitter and receiver on for a whole blues jam and they were still on and working after five hours. Sure, if you turn the transmitter off and leave the receiver on then after 10 minutes the receiver will turn itself off. Equally, leave both transmitter and receiver on in a silent environment and they'll turn themselves off after a bit. But provided you leave both transmitter and receiver switched on and picking up ambient sound of some sort (not necessarily loud) the rig stays 'live' for as long as it's got battery.
In addition to what you said I’ve plugged the receiver into a (50’)cable & run that to the mixing board. If it powers off the transmitter & receiver are close to me & easily turned on quickly. Haven’t tried it with a 100’ cable but I think it would work.
Another great day with you, brother.... So much fun trying out this gear and getting it out to our sax gang around the world!! Maybe someday, things will just show up at my door!! ")
Recently bought the Nu-x B6 and absolutely love it.able to use with battery powered rig if necessary great sound .simple to use. no wires hanging around.you can always plug the receiver into an extra xlr and move it to a better location on the stage if you need better range easy to hang it off somewhere for better line of sight. Sound is fantastic. charging case is a brilliant idea lasts at least a couple of full charges before you need to charge the case.
At my music store they sell this similar device that converts a audio cable to wireless by having a receiver that goes in the audio interface and another that connects to the mic (I think it’s for electric guitar tho) but I’m assuming they have versions that can connect to any 3.5 or 1/4 inch mic
Phew - you picked the Nu-X, Jay. I bought one a couple of months ago, so I'm glad of the endorsement (Also my friend got the Cloud- glad I didn't!) I find it great though it went flat on me when I did 2 gigs in 1 day. I might not have turned it off properly. Fortunately, in 20 mins charging, it had enough juice to do an hour's set!
I got that Nux…it picks up a brilliant mid -warmer sound…and the price and stage range is good. You can charge the whole case! Green light indicator is easy to see
I think a good reason for not having the Nux automatically charging, is that you don't want to store rechargeable batteries fully charged. You should store them att like 50% and only charge them fully right before you're going to use them.(Compare the way your phone doesn't charge fully over night until just before wake up time)
HEY Jay, great video I bought the NuX mic about two months ago here in Canada and it's on back order still. I can't wait to test it. Your video gave an idea about the mic. Michael was killing as usual thank you both.
Although the NUX sounds great and has excellent features, it broadcasts in the 2.4 GHz band, which is the same band as many other wireless products. You cannot choose which frequency, NUX chooses automatically. Lately, I have been sharing a stage with 18 other wireless devices. 6 of these broadcast in the 2.4 band. No room for my NUX in this crowd. Sadly, I had to return it. Wow, this is a great product comparison video!
I've noticed that if I put mine too close to my 2.4 router, it really gets affected and the signal drops within less than 3 meters. Once I disabled and stuck to the 5G band, it solved the problem. Luckily, in my case I will be mostly playing with way less "competition", unlike yourself. But it's definitely a problem that no one of the videos I'm watching talks about it.
@@claudemiropacheco Yes, I too am surprised I don't see videos warning us about wireless "competition". This guy works with Supertramp, a world touring band. I wonder how many wireless devices Supertramp has on stage and how do they prevent interference with each other?

DPA! I have used them for at least 14-15 years. But the Nu-X was nice but the design problems would for sure stress me on a gig. Cat dug your horn and mouthpiece! They do sound good!
@@HaHaHaHope I tape mine to the bell with gaffer tape. The clip that comes with it can present problems as you say. But sound wise, DPA is my favorite.
I have been using the Cloud Vocal Prime for about a year now. It's a pretty good mic but definitely has some flaws. One of my biggest frustrations with the mic when I first got it was how unstable the plastic clip felt on my bell (like you were showing around 2:40). One trick I discovered on accident (that Micahel appears to be doing as well) is using the clip with the "Face Down" label facing up. For whatever reason, using it this way on my sax is WAY more stable. I also wonder if his sound on the Cloud Vocal would have been improved if he used the foam windscreen. All that said, I really enjoyed this comparison. The NU-X B-6 seems like a really solid option for the price. Thanks for the video Jay.
Many thanks for this video. It helped me find the set-up I've been looking for for YEARS! I've been using my DPA 4099 with a Sennheiser XSW wireless system, which was not entiely satifactory for a few reasons. Although I was not totally sold on the ISOLO PRIME, there was indeed much to like, but thanks to this video I have now hit what seems to be jackpot! The NUX B-6 combined with my DPA 4099 CORE mic, and the ZOOM A1 FOUR effects processor... everything is perfect, the sound is awesome, and it all runs on batteries! Bobby Blue, Stockholm, Sweden.
@@bettersax Well I didn’t actually need phantom power with my XSW-D Lavalier Set (DPA 4099 with the DAD-34 adapter instead of levalier mic of course). My guess is that the Sennheiser’s battery was providing the necessary current 🤔
@@bobbyblue7810 I tried to use the NUX B-6 on a gig with the DPA 4099 yesterday. I have the sennheiser-adapter for my 4099, but for some reason it had a really loud buzzing sound with B-6 and didn't work... Did you use the same adapter as with the sennheiser system or something else?
Really enjoyed your comparison, well done! The only minor thing that i disagree with is the case charging point that you made. I think hitting the button on the case to commence charging is just fine. Rather that than charging simply by closing the case. You may want to wait to charge a few hours before your next performance rather than beginning to charge right AFTER a show. Better control over the timing and charge retention imho. Thanks!
I have the nux!! So happy I have the best one lol. I find it easy to use and very sleek. Wasn’t sure about sound but now I am happy to see. Didn’t know about having to press to turn on the charge
100% with you on the NU-X, love it. Brilliant design and has been a great live performer for me. Wish it had a mute button. Otherwise perfect! I can second others that the unit doesn’t auto shut-off. Jay, read the ‘fine’ manual regarding recharging. ;-)
I have a Shure SM98 I have to setup and tear down, takes me longer to do that than put my Yani tenor away. I’m going to a NU-X. A friend let me play his NU-X, love it. So simple and practical, sounds as good as a Shure 57.
I've been using the Shure wireless for years. Great sound, hate the wire and belt clip. But...I'm in the process of upgrading the Shure to the newly introduced Neumann clip on mic. It plugs into the same darn belt clip but I'm looking forward to my first (and probably only) Neumann mic.
Wow!! 2 legends.. Jay, and Michael saxplayer by the great Supertramp!! Congrats both for this nice and important video! Jay, have you even tried the wireless Akg 40? What is your opinion about him?
The following just my experience for you guys as a reference. I am a saxophone street player from Taiwan, I have bought NUX B-6 when it's just been announced but I returned it back after the first time I use it on street, B-6 is not working normally on a crowded place, because too much microwave interference that will caused B-6 on and off seriously. Actually the sound quality is good for saxophone, but better be used inside of house without microwave interference.
I enjoyed this video, and the Nux system has some very nice features. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a mute button, which for me is a deal-killer; I also agree with you that the 10-minute time-out is a terrible idea. If they ever fix these fatal flaws, I will probably get one.
@@bettersax surprised that none of these microphones have an interface to a phone app where you could adjust defaults and setup for different profiles, including muting, switch on remotely through BT/WiFi, and other s/w controlled functions. Such chips are inexpensive ( ~$5 retail) and could be designed in easily. The software is also not too difficult to implement these days
I have a Sennheiser clip on mic for one band that I play in. It has the transmitter pack that I clip onto my pocket with the wire going to the mic. Our sound man has the receiver in his rack. Since I've started playing with 4 other groups, I was looking for a wireless mic I could use with all 4 and not have bulky equipment to carry. That brings me to this, I was shown the NUX B-6...I fell in love with it for the convenience...no wires, compact, simple to set up and play. My concern was with the 20 meter distance limitation and possible interference with other signals since it's only 2.4 Ghz. So far, from the numerous videos I've watched, no one has had any issues with any of that, and now, your video shows the quality of the sound the sax has through this NUX B-6 system. I'm beginning to lean to the NUX for my other mic.
Once again brother. I said before and I will say it again....you guys are identical!!!!!! Lol great video. Got me scratching my head myself which one I should get for my Alto Saxophone . Thx alot y'll
An interesting measure for a sax mic his: "How much of the rest of the band gets picked up through the mic along with your sax?" - not tested. Also, the volume that was coming out of that alto used for the testing, was not loud. If felt like the testing sax player thought he was in a public library? lol It would be nice to hear a metal mouthpiece and a triple FFF volume rather than a medium volume at the loudest. Again, full volume dynamic rather than half volume and soft being played by the tester. Also, having a discussion about multiple channel choices? Cool video! thanks.
So when the Nux test was done I guess it was set to the alto EQ? That might account for the slight midrange/fullness boost and better overall sound? Doesn't really matter because it clearly sounded the best, and your horn sounds fantastic (as does Michael Gehgan).
I've been using the Nu-x B6 for around 1.5 years and I love it, although now the charge won't even last a 2h gig, and cuts out at around 1.5hours which is very frustrating. Granted, I've been using it for on average around 10 gigs a week for that time period so I have definitely got my moneys worth, but it's something to consider.
@@emilegiovanoandy3653 I’ve found that if I charge them directly with the split cable rather than the case, the battery lasts a little longer. It’s still not reliable for when I’m doing 2-3 gigs a day and I know I won’t have enough time to charge them in between gigs so I’ve bought another one and it’ll arrive later this week.
@@emilegiovanoandy3653I ended up buying another Nux system, and I keep the old one as a backup for when the battery eventually starts to die on the new one
Been using this mic for several months and the only serious drawback is the range. I play in venues where one needs 90-120 ft for wedding entrances etc. Other than that this wiresless mic is one of the best values out there.
I bought mine and haven't been out with it for a field test yet, but I noticed with some basic tests at home that you should not put close to a 2.4 GHz router. As I don't have much space, I play close to my work computer, the router was sitting on the same desk close to where my zoom H5 was standing, connected to the receiver. The interference was really noticeable. I couldn't get a clear signal if I moved as far as 10 Ft from the receiver. I disable the 2.4 Network and left only the 5G, and things got way better. So, be aware of this. They mention it in the manual, but who reads the manuals, right? It's like a side note, not even in bold saying to stay at least 2 meters away. Be aware of that as it is a clear limitation that can affect home users like myself and many others.
I agree 100% with NOT having the 10 minute 'auto off' feature and the in-built EQ on the NU-X. Such a shame...as inductive charging is convenient but no firmware upgrades or ability to disable these features? Otherwise it looks superb for the price and sound quality.
I've got the response from NUX B-6 users, that for the "Auto off" feature it has to be completely quiet. If you don't use the mic during the performance, the noise on the stage seems to be loud enough to keep the mic transmitter "ON".
I like the presets on the nu-x. Pressing a button 3 times is not a big deal, at least for my use. Also like the auto-off. I'd rather have to remember to turn it back on when needed than have to remember to turn it off to save the charge.
Hi Jay... That NUX looks like it just might be what I'm looking for... I do have the 4099 using a Shure Wireless xmitter/receiver..... I would like to get away from my way of having to attach the belt-pack transmitter (I use Velcro on the B/Bb guard to attach it to my saxes... My question is which of their EQs do you feel is the best for "any" sax... the one with the least color... As usual, thoroughly enjoy your Videos... Pat
I've been playing my Samson AirLine77 for years now, without problems. Is the NU-X better? Who knows. The audience probably doesn't have a clue, but I like the compactness of the NU-X.
wow, amazing tread. I've got a question: will you compare those wireless mic with some traditional best in class systems? (for instance I use a SD System LCM89 with Shure blx14, and I'm curious to understand differences between those wireless mics) Thanks in advance
Hey Paolo..great question. I use those mics all the time as well. Yes, they are a higher quality sound and wireless reception, specifically made for large venues and microphone movement around the stage. We're also talking about a significant price difference and a belt pack. I love not having a belt pack for smaller gigs.
@@michaelghegan8980 thanks very much for your response, I agree with you for all things... I think the only way is to check, and in those days I'm thinking about to buy one (the best , or it seems🙂) to compare and use in some lives..... If I'll do that I'll tell you my opinion.
Hi Paolo, I had the possibility to compare the NUX and the CLOUDVOCAL with SD Systems LCM89, LDM94 and AMT LS mics. In my ears NUX and CLOUDVOCAL are good mics with a very good sound in this price range and great features like the CLOUDVOCALS integral effect section, very good for playing solo with playbacks or in small clubs, where you have a limited amount of wireless systems in use. But on bigger and loud stages with a lot wireless and in ear systems in use I would prefer the more expensive AMT or SD Systems in combination with UHF wireless systems due to better feedback resistancy and great, natural sound. And the UHF frequency range is less vulnerable ref. drop-outs and interferences when using many wireless systems due to a larger bandwith.
Hello, O have a Dpa 4099. I like the idea of the cloud vocal wireless with effects for street playing. But seems the mic is not Jack? Do you think is there any combination over there for effects and a better mic like the Dpa? Thank you in advance.

Hi I am starting to do more festivals again. I have a NUX and love the sound and convenience, but wonder am I going to get dropouts in this very busy frequency band. I have a Samson AWX but this is now a license requiring product (420mhz) so I think I will have to buy the G series one to be able to use it everywhere, but before I do I would rather the cost of it go to a DPA or Neumann. My question is have you used the NUX in many bigger events successfully? A note for any one who uses Xvive U4 IEM system, the NUX refuses to play ball with it. No matter what band I use on the Xvive or what order I switch them on it interferes.
Thanks for another great video Jay. This might be a dumb question but here goes. I've just bought the NUX. Can these be damaged if you plug the RX into a desk or audio interface that is supplying phantom voltage? TIA.
I think not changable battery is a huge problem of modern wireless sax mics. I have MiPro wireless sax mic system and it works with changable batteries, so I can take 2 or more fully charged batteries for change in case of problems with low charge or just long event etc. But what you're going to do if you're on scene and charge indicator unexpectedly started to blink red light?
Yep, got the NU-X recently, tried on a gig last weekend, and the doggone auto cutoff feature was troublesome-our sound engineers let me know that it had stopped working, so I moved back to my regular wired mic-what a pain this is, especially since there's no way to disable it! Other than that, I love this peace, far superior to my old Shure sax wireless system that had the nasty strap on receiver (BTW, I use a couple of Velcro straps to attach that piece to the side of my tenor sax bell, but it was not pretty :
What is the process and the logistic of using this mic on a festival stage? How do you sort it out with the sound engineering people? Do they plug the receiver into their mix board or at the end of a cable on the stage? I am interested in the details of how you handle these situations?
@@bettersax Excellent, that's the answer I was looking for. Real-life experience. I am getting this for my son and now I can explain to him how to sort it out with sound engineers.
Great review Jay! So I bought one of these and I like it, but I have been burned TWICE on gigs with the battery in the transmitter crapping out mid-gig. The first time I discovered was the bad design flaw you noted where you actually have to press the button on the case to actually get it to charge when it's plugged into USC-C. I didn't press that button. However, last weekend, it did the same thing, and I could swear I had it charging for hours after pressing the button, and the side case LEDS for the case-charging showed all four LEDs lit green before I took the setup to the gig. What could be going on? What do you do to make sure it doesn't crap out on you? Might I have a unit with a defective transmitter battery?
What do you think of the AMT wireless sax mic.? as thinking of purchasing it seems most sax players I know use it. I currently use the Shure clip on SM98 with multi channel system. It's an oldie but goodie and not noisy at all.I just don't like having to infer red and re- signal it if someone else is on the same channel and the belt pack I have mounted with velcro on the saxes that I use most on gigs but I hate that I have velcro on my MkVI's! but I hate the belt clip more!
Interesting shoot out. I have been happily using a Nady Centerstage Satellite unit for several years. Looking for a back up. I went checking out the Nu-x and the Kimafun. I was disappointed to see the Nu-X does not have a mute switch, nor the ability to change channels. 2.4ghz is heavily t trafficked and venues Wifi can interfere with the connection. I use XVive in ears, and often need to change channels (6 available) so I understand the need to at least have the ability to try a few channels in the 2.4 ghz spectrum. The Kimafun does have four channels available, but honestly I don't like the design for playing out in the crowd, which I often do. I like the one piece idea, but it seems to hang way off the bell, which could spell problems on the dance floor. It seems Nady has change the mic design on my unit but is out of stock EVERYWHERE. LOL Appreciate the shoot out and all your info!
Jay: What exact 3.5mm DPA adapter did you use for connecting to the NUX B-6 transmitter? I have a DPA 4099 mic as well as an NUX B-6 and I''m seeing a couple of different DPA adapters online (DPA DAD6034; DPA DAD6019).
Curious how good/bad general Lav Mics like the HollyLand Lark M1, Lark 150, DJI MIC, or Rode Wireless Go2 would perform. How much the versatility for multi-instrumentist would be a compromise on the audio quality.
Great review ! Is there a workaround for the 10 minute auto shutoff- sleep mode on the NUX B-6 ? As a singer sax player I think it's a major design flaw particularly with no mute option. Thanks, Joe
@@bettersax thanks for the quick reply. As a singer-sax player I frequently go 10 mins plus between sax and singing also if a sound man out in the house has the receiver he has to be aware as well. Even if it's onstage it's one more thing to worry about. A fatal flaw in an otherwise excellent unit. Oh well, my Samson wireless is still working well. Hopefully the next NUX model will rectify this problem.
I like the NuX and the Cloud Vocal expecially when I play this back in my recording studio. I think it even sounds better than DPA. And you can save yourself about $500 dollars. Thats a deal. I also like the Samson AWXm with AR99m. It is a great wireless Sax mic. It has gone up in price quite a bit but still well under $500. Check it out.
I have a question. Maybe somebody can help- Said that you can use the DPA 4099 which is my Mic of choice as well. Does ist really provid the phantom power? And there seems to be a similar system now: the XVIVE U7 - but there they say the transmitter provides only 3,3 V phantom power - so its not usable with the dpa 4099, right ?
That DPA 4099 is enough of a difference to make the reach a consideration. My old Shure WM98 is a better element than the NU-X one, I plan to try and adapt it.
Have you found the area of the bell where you clip the mic affects the quality of recording/sound?? I don't clip at the 6 o'clock because it affects storage in the sax stand. so I tend to clip somewhere higher around the bell.
Jay this is a great vid. Do either you or Michael have experience with the AMT Q7-LS system? I have their older Wi-5 and it's getting pretty long in the tooth. I want to replace it in the coming months and was looking at the Q7; now the Nu-X is at least on my radar, but I'm curious what you might have to say about the AMT offerings. Thanks!
I have the NUX B-6 as well as the AMT Q7-LS Wireless Mini system for sax. The AMT has 100 channels available on the UHF band -- thereby making interference a nonfactor. Although the 2.4Ghz NUX works great most of the time, I have had a couple of interference issues with it in crowded restaurants (cell phones, wi-fi, etc.), causing me to switch to another mic. As for sound... The AMT has a fuller, rounder sound than the NUX -- but it also costs 4x as much. Plus it's bigger/bulkier, which isn't an issue on alto/tenor, but it adds a noticeable amount of weight (5 oz) to my soprano -- causing me to have to use a neckstrap at times. The NUX is lighter and less obtrusive. Everything's a tradeoff. Actually, my favorite mic is my DPA 4099. Best overall sound quality in a small, lightweight unit. But, like the AMT, it's pricey.
Hey Jay looking for some help. When I was young and foolish back in the 70's I put a VOX pick up on the neck of my Mark VI (actually it was the thing to do back then). Over time the VOX mic has disappeared probably gone to where all the sox go when you do laundry. Is there any way to find another one or is there a possible replacement you can suggest. Good thing is the stopper still is in tact so it does not effect the sound quality from my horn.
The Nux is great but has a very limited range and any physical interference between the mic and the receiver will cut the signal, so it’s not good for waking around. Only for playing somewhere static with no leads.
So, I did a gig yesterday, and Overall, I really enjoyed the mic. I have a complaint, though. If you are playing on a very sunny environment, like an outside wedding gig, you just can't see the light. It's too dim.The receiver signal light is OK, but the transmitter is really bad.
Jay, the auto shut-off issue you raise doesn't exist - at least not now. I've just left both my transmitter and receiver on for a whole blues jam and they were still on and working after five hours. Thanks for this cos this was the one thing people are coming for with this mic.
In addition to what you said I’ve plugged the receiver into a (50’)cable & run that to the mixing board. If it powers off the transmitter & receiver are close to me & easily turned on quickly. Haven’t tried it with a 100’ cable but I think it would work.
Yeah, i've been using one for about 8 months, and never had this auto shut-off problem.
Ambient sounds keeps the transmitter from doing the auto shut-off. It would only auto shut-off in a completely sound-free room.

All that said, I really enjoyed this comparison. The NU-X B-6 seems like a really solid option for the price. Thanks for the video Jay.
Great video, thanks. Picked up the NUx today. Brilliant mic for the money.
Great to hear. How did you get phantom power to the mic with the xsw system?
@@funkytenor I have the DPA DAD6034 adapter, it’s expensive, but it works perfectly for me. Btw. I’m using the DPA 4099 Core mic.
Thanks!
Personally I think the sax player is killing that solo every time!! 😄🤟🏾!!
I have also the NUX, zo proud of that mic, and easy to take and install it
On your comparison DPA sounds a bit better, but has more key noise sensitivity and a stronger proximity effect when all keys are closed
I have the nux!! So happy I have the best one lol. I find it easy to use and very sleek. Wasn’t sure about sound but now I am happy to see. Didn’t know about having to press to turn on the charge
@TELEGRAM ME@BETTERSAX what do I do?
@@RevolutionTutors it’s a scam it’s not actually better sax, ignore it
100% with you on the NU-X, love it.
Thank you for this video I’ll try the NU-X B-6 despite its flaws
Wow!! 2 legends.. Jay, and Michael saxplayer by the great Supertramp!!
Congrats both for this nice and important video!
Jay, have you even tried the wireless Akg 40? What is your opinion about him?
Just ordered this. Really? $200. It’s a NO brainer!!! Thanks for the great review as usual!! 💪
I used the nu x last night. It works.
Good test. I wish you had thrown the DPA microphones in the mix.
I did.
@@bettersax Thanks bro, I went back, that's the mic I'm considering. Been using Audio Technica 350
Wow, very interesting! Thanks Jay!😃Rocket 🚀
Oh yeah mute switch would be a nice addition.
Hi i’m getting the same issue , have you changed the mic or you are still playing with a new nux -b6
We now use 2 in our soft rock band , faultless 😎
Been using this mic for several months and the only serious drawback is the range. I play in venues where one needs 90-120 ft for wedding entrances etc. Other than that this wiresless mic is one of the best values out there.
NuX is a great little mic.
I like the look and price of the NUX but what voicing would work best for Bari as it doesn't have a Bari option.
Agree with all your comments Jay
Could you use any of these mics in combination with a clarinet?
NUX B-6 and CLOUDVOCAL ISOLO Sax wireless mic systems are in Germany available from SAX-ess.
The NUX B6 mic has a big issue with the frequency of the high B and C by my sopran straight.
Alto and Tenor are OK 👍
No one ever really talks about the Samson AWX Wind Instrument Micro Transmitter UHF Wireless System , wow!! what a mic
Pat
I actually find that switching the EQ for each sax kind of works best.
I've been playing my Samson AirLine77 for years now, without problems. Is the NU-X better? Who knows. The audience probably doesn't have a clue, but I like the compactness of the NU-X.
I was thinking of this Nuex system myself . Is it pretty slick ,
wow, amazing tread.
I've got a question: will you compare those wireless mic with some traditional best in class systems?
(for instance I use a SD System LCM89 with Shure blx14, and I'm curious to understand differences between those wireless mics)
Thanks in advance
Thank you sir for your packaged information
Is phantom power needed when using the dpa with the nux system?
No
Hello, O have a Dpa 4099.
I like the idea of the cloud vocal wireless with effects for street playing. But seems the mic is not Jack? Do you think is there any combination over there for effects and a better mic like the Dpa?
Thank you in advance.
Thanks as always Jay! Interesting video! I noticed that the amazon link for the Nux doesn't work so good...correct? Thanks again
Hi Jay... me, with MORE questions... lol
Just got the NU-X Wireless... and I already have the 4099... just need the adapter.. is the Default page on your link the right adapter??
My question is which of the 3 EQs did you find works best... with Tenor and Alto... hopefully, there is one that is the best for both... do you change from Default Green to Yellow for Tenor??

Perfect for performances, thanks!
I’ve used it in fairly large settings and haven’t had any issues.
Great review. Thanks
Thanks for another great video Jay. This might be a dumb question but here goes. I've just bought the NUX. Can these be damaged if you plug the RX into a desk or audio interface that is supplying phantom voltage? TIA.
Does the auto-off "feature" apply to just the transmitter/mic, or to the receiver as well?
Since the EQ isn’t flat, it would be nice to see each of the three response curve measurements.
I have DPA 4099, and it's very well on my performance
I plug it in to a cable at my feet in front of the monitor. This way I can turn it on or off and always have a good connection.
Fred, here's the link to the adapter I purchased: geni.us/BJxMe (forgot to put it in description).
@@bettersax Thanks Jay. Ordered it today.
Curious how good/bad general Lav Mics like the HollyLand Lark M1, Lark 150, DJI MIC, or Rode Wireless Go2 would perform. How much the versatility for multi-instrumentist would be a compromise on the audio quality.
Do you have to give the XLR transmitter phantom power ?? wondering would this work for a wireless set up for busking with a battery powered amp.
I run through pedals sometimes, will I need phantom power with the nux?
No
how does the NuX work with a pedal board??
I’d like to know the answer to this one as well
Great review ! Is there a workaround for the 10 minute auto shutoff- sleep mode on the NUX B-6 ? As a singer sax player I think it's a major design flaw particularly with no mute option. Thanks, Joe
I just make sure to turn it back on after a set break. Not ideal for sure.
Viga Musictools Intramic with Sennheiser XSW!
Thank you for the info. I've been in the market of a good wireless mic.

NUX IS BUILT LIKE A TANK.
How can one shield key noise getting into the clip mic ?? Thanks 🙏
Will the NU x plug into my Bose LP 8?
I recently purchased a NUX and the product would not charge properly. I returned it, hoping it was an error and the exchange product had more flaws.
Can i do NUX wireless sax mic with Shure ULXD4 transmitter? Just the way you use DPA microphone with an adapter?
The Nux is great but has a very limited range and any physical interference between the mic and the receiver will cut the signal, so it’s not good for waking around. Only for playing somewhere static with no leads.
I’m just wondering if the winner mic would clip onto a classical guitar? On the inside sound hole?
Que dia vc vem no Brasil? Sou te fã
So, I did a gig yesterday, and Overall, I really enjoyed the mic. I have a complaint, though. If you are playing on a very sunny environment, like an outside wedding gig, you just can't see the light. It's too dim.The receiver signal light is OK, but the transmitter is really bad.
That one is the one I use the Nu-X
