Love the video. I remember watching your French Laundry cooking vids years ago when I was discovering my own passion for food. At the time, those were the only content on youtube like it. So glad youre back and making awesome videos again. Anyways, my favorite steakhouse is Keens in NYC. Not only is their beef fantastic (puts Peter Luger to shame tbh), but their hogget is otherworldy and their whisky selection is absurd.
Way to go S.C. I’m not really that big on desserts but two steakhouse favorites come to mind. Fleming’s Chocolate Lava Cake and Mastro’s Butter Cake. Let’s see if anybody else is interested. Thanks
Thanks Sean, your take on a classic wedge salad looks fantastic and I'll be making this for my next steak night for sure. Great theme for your channel -- lots of ideas to run with -- how about Lyonnaise potatoes for example? :-) When I lived in NYC Smith and Wollensky was the place to go for a steak fix. I'd enjoy seeing your ideas around the perfect tomahawk steak, cooking methods and what kind of dry rubs you recommend? I'd also be interested to know your thoughts around sous vide cooking a steak for perfect temperature control and how to get the perfect restaurant quality sear at the end. Cheers and great to see you back making cooking videos again. I found you several years ago when I wanted to know how to make TK's famous oysters and pearls. Seeing the steps expertly executed helped tackle this impressive dish.
Thank You so much. I do like me some Lyonnaise Potatoes. Im based in LA so never been to a proper NY steakhouse. I am thinking of cooking a Tomahawk. Montreal Seasoning on that for sure. I like sous vide cooking but I have a little trick for at home that I do. I am also glad you found me when I was doing the CTFL. I will definitely look at making those again also.
One of the very best wedge salad recipes/videos I've ever seen. Kudos to you for your creativity! 🎉

Looks amazing! 😻
Thank You
Another excellent video, Sean.
Are the recipes in The French Laundry Cookbook the same as those in the restaurant?
When I was at Bouchon they handed me the recipe for some of the dishes and they were photo copy of the books.
