Been out once in them on Honda crf300l, no problem shifting. Only that the aggressive footpegs and gnarly boot soles make moving foot around less fluid than flat soled boots. Extremely comfortable straight out of the box, I'm size 43 and ordered size 44, perfect. Love the style and ease of fastening, much better than tying up laces and I hate having laces flapping around next to the bike.
Of all reviews of Forma adventure boots, in your review you speak of a practical issue (difficulty in shifting when boots are new). Even after raising shift lever I'm still not able to shift properly as these boots are still stiff. How much time it will take for break-in?

It took a couple of days of all day riding and walking off the bike to break in
