    I have watched alot of these videos and this boy has made this so simple an easy to understand. Instead of trying to make himself sound so intellectual, using big words, telling long useless stories, etc ..........for me this is one of the best videos. What a wise ole owl!!

    I shed a tear at the end because up until the song I felt like a little red dot. When I heard the audacity of the boy saying he wants to change the world I asked what a big white rock would have asked "how can someone like you change the world?". Then I realised I've still got a way to go before I become a little red dot.

    I believe in you, Dylan & the little red dot. My favourite phrase from your talk - we grow old when we don't take risks in life.

    As raw as this speech sounds, and the flaws & slight awkwardness many may feel in his singing, it further emphasizes his message, on the mindset and attitude of trying. This is really a great presentation & I'm so proud that it is coming out from my own country and from a young fellow Singaporean. Thank you!

      +QingHui Er I'll ask Dylan to reply directly to you. Thank you for your kind words. For me, I want him to know there's no model answer in life but to try, and try your best.

      +DYL4N Really? Here is a suggestion to walk the talk - work towards booting out casinos out of Singapore. Singaporeans never voted to bring in casinos, we never want casinos in our living room, had we wanted, we would have move to other countries. Casinos were shoved down our throats. Looking forward to making Singapore a better place than before.

    • @calvinsoh3263
      @calvinsoh3263 8 років тому +7

      +Ishah Kahan the talk was about dreaming big and making things happen. So if banning casinos are your thing, then you go make it happen. I don't think you can ask a 12 year old who doesn't even know black jack to do that.

    One of the best TedTalks out there. Great perspective from a young man. Listen to his big ideas and implement them into your life. Fear results from the unknown and trying unveils the unknown, thus destroying fear. Well-spoken boy with a bright future ahead if he stays on this path!
