Dandruff can be easily taken off your hair strand or flakes off but eggs cannot you have to really pull at them

No, I would not recommend this method for ticks. Ticks have their head imbedded into the body when they bite. Combing for ticks can cause the head to break off in the body. There are some very helpful tick methods widely available with some research.
