This video makes me happy. I commend your uncle and his friend. Being deported didn’t stop them from adapting and living a normal life.
Very nice people and peaceful village. I don't mind being deported to Cambodia as long as I have a pretty Cambodia girl with me then I'm good. LOL. Nice video and I will subscribe.
Im Cambodian and we moved to Finland when I was about 2. I have big family made of 8 people including me and im third youngest but we are doing just fine here. everyone who is older than me have a work place and their own house except me and my younger brother and sister Im 17 at the moment and I have never been in Cambodia even tho I want to go there so badly. Luckily this winter we are going there for the first time and im so excited so before I go there im preparing by watching vids :D
That’s awesome. I’m hoping to go back soon as well. One of my nephews is getting married and I’d like to join the wedding party!
congratz to ur nephew and yup I bet u want to go back
Great vid,,,,I've been to Battambang a couple times with my friend who lives in Siem Reap.
I really enjoy Cambodia. In 2020 I will retire,I live in Canada now but I will move to Cambodia for good. When I see the women dance it gives me goosebumps of joy. I so love it there.
Keep up the great shows, they make me feel happy. Saum arkoun !
What part? I'm thinking about going back about the same time...but part time.
@EMBRACE CREATION No way!
@EMBRACE CREATIONI understands. It's alot cheaper than the US. But a decent home will cost between $30,000-$50,000.
You guys are lucky. Your government don't torture and treated you like animal. Hope they leave you guys alone and built your life over again.
Don't feel bad. American betray everyone and every country
He doesn't need to come back ..What a good life he has over there .. A lot of American retirees i know moved to live in Asia.. good food, simple life, less expenses...
+marry asian woman lol
I just want to ask . . how far is this place from the cambodia-thailand border ? I've been to Phnon pehn in 2014 . . in the border we asked for fast travel but they lead us to a bus that made our travel for 10 hours . . is there any fast bus travel now a days ?
from phnom pehn to battambang 5 to 6 hours driving for me maybe another hour to the border
Retirement is key word! They make money from retirement.
tito k
A lot of Americans go there to have sex with young girls and exploit the Asian cultures cause what they can’t do it here in America. Don’t think the Americans are all so innocent.
We see you Pou Chea.. much love from Oakland Ca..
My best friend youngest brother was deported back to Cambodia about 10 years ago too, he came to U.S. when he was only 2 years old. Most of Laotian and cambodian came to U.S. as a refugee due to war and most of us though that we are permanent resident and didn’t bother to take a test to become U.S. citizen. It’s sad to see so many families being torn apart, at least your uncle and his friend (cambodian hippie) are doing good and living a good life. Thank for sharing your uncle story.
that's the kinda relaxing life i want.
Excellent content. i found your channel through some other deportee interview video so this video is right on spot for your channel to grow.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing this video. I enjoy watching it.
No offense, but that old dude looks way better the rest of the gang. He's so solid. He should be happy because had he stayed in the States he would have been plagued with cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, Hep C, and all kinds of those craps like the rest of us :)
Amazing video editing skill, subscribed!
Good for him, his family in the u.s. just needs to send him some money to built a house and get things going. There's more sun shine, good weather over there...if it was me, I wouldn't want to come back to the u.s. to face freezing weather again. I'm actually thinking about going back to Laos to retire, love the weather there.
GO!
Honestly wish I would get deported if I wasn't born and raised here. Been living in the USA my whole life that I want to experience new cultures and new ways of life
I am going to Thai my grandmother country.. Cambodia is my grandfather country.. actually I might retire in the border of Cambodia and Thai border town.. because that is where my grandmother and grandfather met and trade ...☮️🖖
So much racism here in America. Even the president is a racist, glad he's out of the white house.
@@zzzthaoster division for political, wealth , and interests is not new..
It is as old as human society development ... and it is not the last infact our species of humanity greatest existing example of that is our sovereign jurisdiction and patriotic songs and flags for our nation states.. hmmmm..
I hope a wider audience would understand what I said..☮️🖖
Great video and insight. Thanks to you and your family for sharing.
Not many of us fortunate to have a life styles like your uncle here; he did the crime and served his time and now it's time for him to enjoys the rest of his lucky LIFE back in Cambodia. Life is so wonderful for some.....5 Stars from USA.
good stuff savi. thanks for sharing
Great video and you have alot of great videos here. First time seeing you and i found you through Mark Wiens
I’m so very fortunate that none of my 6 brothers got in trouble and get deported. Grew up in Long Beach California in the 80 and 90 where are a lots of gangs. Credit to our parents and a very mean older brother. They’re keep us in checked. Lol
Glad you didn't get deported!!! I have no sympathy for these people. Embarrassing to fellow Cambodian Americans
Hey, why don't you gain residential status & then citizenship then ?? Hmmm
I would move back to Cambodia in a heartbeat if giving a chance! I wanted my whole family to move along but I know they are too stubborn and don’t want that lifestyle
@@lionolee5480 you got a good positive outlook. Always some persons (family or otherwise) to ruin your plans. Hmmm 😁😅
Wow with the skills Savy! Love watching you progress. Keep it going!
Be careful Savi..those Apsara are way too gorgeous!!! Thank you for sharing the story of your uncle.
Lol
I grew up in Long Beach way back in the 80s I remember ever weekends on a saturday i would drive up to Cambodia Town over at east anaheim on this tiny restaurant, forgot the name but they serve these really killer spicy hot wings. those were the days, the good old days :)
Thank you again for sharing!!
Love seeing apsara dancers dark in complexion like a true Cambodiana!
Some time I want to deport myself to, temporarily.

These deportee were successfully started the new life in Cambodia, I am very happy for them, very nice place where you have a picnic, it look so peaceful, I use to live in Battanbong, thank you for showing video of Phsa Crom market, I haven't been back since I fled as refugee, I hope to go back for visit, but I don't know any body in Battanbong, I am appreciate if you can hook me up with your uncle for a place to stay.
Came across your channel. Cool video, I grew up with Cambodian people all my life. I love Cambodian food 😋 I also have a lot of friends deported back to Cambodia. Glad your uncle is living life out there. Keep up the cool videos.
awesome man, thx for the positive comment
Such an inhuman treatment to people after living so many years in the States. I really feel for these deportees! The Cambodian Government should not have done this treaty with the US Government at the first place.
007nait It was about the money. The more deportees Cambodia accepted, the more money the US would pay. Fortunately, Cambodia is reducing acceptance of deportees--not because they have a heart but because the US wasn't giving enough money. Smh.
Loved your videos bro
Keep up the good work.
Awesome video Bruv
I really like your Khmer vlog and Engling. We have a lot of Cambodian American live in the U.S.A.
Couldn’t help but see the portrait of the 2 Marines. Glad to know there are more Khmer people in the military, let alone Marine Corps like myself
Welcome to Cambodia brother🇰🇭❤️👍🏻
Dope shades! awesome video!

Hello Khmouy Savi, I'm interested in this video just because you covered my home town, Battambang, where I was born, educated...well done about the rest...informative.
Your old local follower.
What a nice video thank you for sharing.
Great content bro subbed
Great editing skill.
You are a criminal gang , so you didn’t deserve to live in the USA
your video very awesome, I'm so enjoyed to watch your video, thank you so much for sharing, and you have a great day.
Love your video. Did you have to get a permit to fly your drone in Cambodia?
Lol, u don't need a permit to do anything in Cambodia. Speak the language and show some cash, you got it your way.
Very nice introduction to your culture. Thank you.
Good exposure to an early peaceful retirement vid bro! Wish I could retire there for a few years.
Thanks for sharing
Thumb up for vlog

Happiness doesn't need lot of things. This is peaceful life.
I love it!!
The Aerial view look awesome what phnom is that.
It's called Phnom Sampov in Battambang province.
Awww so sad I use to work with poo Chea at oaks card club. He was such a sweet man. All he did was work and take care of his family. Thanks for the vlog makes me want to visit srok Khmer now
Ree Duong Yes, he looks like a nice man. What happened to his family in the US? Is his wife in the video the same from the US or is this a new wife?
Interesting... thank you or sharing!
love to go their one day !
how do you accept yourself and your current situation by moving on to live in Cambodia? My mom has a lot of properties in Cambodia. I came to usa since 2000. Ever since, I can't seem start a life in Cambodia at all.
I didn't move, just travel to make videos. Probably best way to start a life in Cambodia is tourism industry or open a business catering to tourists.
Very interesting video thank u for sharing. Aloha from a immigrant living in hawaii.
Aloha Friend!
Great drone shot from 8:36
I went back to Cambodia in the early of March 2016. I could not make it Battambang Province. I had lived there during Pol Pot regime. Your uncle looked happy to be where he came from, but I’m sad that he pulled apart from his families from America. Anyhow, I hope that you went to Komping Poy Reservoir when you in Battambang Province.
I only drive by Komping Poy on the way to pick up his sister
Your hippie uncle is very beautiful. Many blessings for your family.
That was very interesting. It seemed to work out for them.
Happy to see our people and family members supporting each other. You are one of the luckiest persons in the world; having this second chance in life.
I was born in battambang, beautiful city but raised in California thanks for sharing...brother
What's the cost of one those houses at the end of the video?. Respectfully.
approximately $40000 plus another $5000 for land. If you love Cambodia, then move there brother. $150 for a maid who will wash, clean, and cook for you.
Those houses look nice.
WELCOME TO CAMBODIA
Beautiful Batombong sceneries...
What year was the last time he washed his hair?
Year 0
Yummy .. love southeast Asian food.
Wow very nice video 👍👍

That's not a hippy brother. That's a Rasta man with blood from mother Africa. Rastafari glory, praise and honor to the most high the creator of haven and earth and all in it jah live. Blessings be upon my Asian brothers.
pls make it daily upload pls i like it
Dude I'm heading over there NOW, great food :) Lively music, excellent people :)..what else can you ask for. We may be in different countries but Cambodian life is somewhat similar here in the Philippines :) Lets hook up if ever you are here in the PI.
I would love to visit PI some day
I love Cambodian people. Most Cambodian are still living a very simple lifestyle and not tainted by materialism.
Damn that hippie has nice properties....
it not so bad in cambodia for the last 2 years i been there 4 time and i saw the hippy guy at batambang market and can you ask your uncle any land for sell near the hippy guy country house in the rice field
wow small world, maybe but I think he sold it
May I ask who the two US Marines were in the photo portraits were at 13:18? Didn't expect to see my fellow US Marines in a Cambodia video lol!
Nhainh's sons in the US
Savi You Hell yeah! It's good to see more Khmers in the Marines!
it's way better to have Khmer Americans in US politics, universities, and Wall street. That's how we prevent terrible forced repatriation laws specifically designed for our people and lift ourselves out of poverty and discrimination. being soldiers for the empire never helps our people
and the crimes could have been joyriding, petty theft, and school gang fight. Many made these mistakes when they were refugee teenagers, arriving in a totally strange and hostile country and struggling everywhere they went, regardless the school they attended, the rundown apartment they lived in, or the street they walked. There were kids with traumatic memory of the killing field. Others without anyone besides because their parents got slaughtered by Pol Pot. and you have the guts to judge them? who then may judge you later?
Hmmm... I am a Vietnamese immigrant that left Vietnam when I was 8 months to a refugee camp in the Philippines (Palawan). I came here, was an immigrant and lived in the Project Housing in Buffalo, NY then moved to the East Side. I made it out, I never joined a gang or did any of that stupid shit I knew better. I went to an all Black school and eventually got into the 2nd best High School in the city (entrance exam). Graduated college and now reside in GA. I was picked on all my life for being different, being Asian in the ghetto streets but never once did I give in.
How did you like Battambang Town restaurant?
It’s delicious, very clean
Very interesting vid
Hitting Srok Khmer for the 3rd time in May
Good!
What is the music name at 15:30? Wow
Hong Ly just some traditional flute music I found
Thanks uncle Sam for sending them back without support. Imagine if they don't have family or friends. I've seen some around the river side selling drugs. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing this. Katiev is not the same as Pho btw.
I wonder why your uncle didn't become a U S citizen after arrived in the U S for 5 - 6 years, it is so easy to pass the interview/exam.
Your uncle is my brother best friend in Oakland lol
Nice to him looking good bro
Trust me, they live better out there then the USA.
agree, 100%
That the city where I was born, I am working my ass off now in California, but want to visite Battambong again. It would be nice if you uncle can show me around as well.
The hippie man is really cool 😎
It looks like a better living then in the United States
It looks so relaxing. All you need is Internet access and plumbing and you're good to go.
