I usually just thrift everything and alter them slightly or just buy the cosplay and do the same thing. I do plan to start sewing my own cosplays in the future and this is a big help! The part at the end got me lmao
It's an amazing tutorial to make cosplay. I bought a black Levi jacket and attack on titan patches that iron-on I wore it once at a con as my cosplay. But I got so nervous I didn't wear it again. Keep making these awesome videos.
Both my sewing machine and serger are by Brother but I bought them because both were on sale, not by brand preference necessarily but they both work very well! My sewing machine is very basic and discontinued (Brother VX-1435) and has served me well for over 10 years. I bought it when I first started sewing for like $60 at Target. It is very user friendly and you can find similar machines. I've used Singer machines as well which are nice. Sewing machines are fancier now with computerized settings and tons of stitches! I would suggest looking at machines that fit your sewing needs (such as how many stitches you want) and price range. Read through reviews about it and then go for it!

What brand/type of sewing machine would you most recommend?
