Not that I've seen. Barrel diameter in rimfire seems to largely follow what you need to succeed in the discipline you're shooting. For NRL22 they seem to prefer larger barrels because of stability and balance while lots of benchrest shooters prefer a lighter and thinner barrel. The lack of any appreciable barrel heat helps allow all of this.
