About Kobe Bryant: Kobe Bean Bryant was an American professional basketball player. As a shooting guard, Bryant entered the National Basketball Association directly from high school, and played his entire 20-season professional career in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers.
R.I.P - Black Mamba Forever.
Kobe was cocky but he wasn't stupid. He knew Mike was better. That's why he kept asking him questions and showed respect.
you mean unlike bebron now!
As great as Kobe was he didn't face prime mike
@@christiano2349 it wasnt prime kobe either...........
Mike still would've got him
@@erichvonmanstein6876 Kobe wasn’t MJ’s level.
@@TheGr8-1 who said he was?
Now you understand why Michael Jordan was so emotional during his speech about Kobe.
They were like brothers…Kobe was like that one little brother who always wanted to outshine and be just like hid older brother which was MJ
"I don't get 5 championships here without him" - Kobe's comment about Michael Jordan 🐐 in the Last Dance Documentary
you don't get 3 without shaq, and some clutch shots by Horry,Fisher Metta and a few others for the last 2.
@@rickyjimenez3357 we didn’t ask though. Lol stay on topic .
@@rickyjimenez3357 So your point is that it’s a team sport and other people partake?
@@rickyjimenez3357 Sooo What You Prove? 🤣
@@Quiso0321 It prove that koby over rated. Dude is a self and media hyped player that relied on others to win inspite of his inefficient and selfish
style of play. What all this garbage I don't get 5 without Mike. Mike didn't play with that fool. It was shaq,Gasol Fisher, winning for this clown.
Kobe is the only closest thing we ever seen to MJ in terms of skills, mentality and work ethic.
Kobe in GOAT mountain now staring down at all of us.
Yes sir!
There’s only one goat.
@@bmla88 tell that to all the Lebron fanboys
the supreme level of confidence to be 18 and not being intimidated by MJ even though everyone else was…
Kobe always mentioned their brotherly relationship. MJ did too in a tribute video before Kobe’s last game in Charlotte. No one took it seriously until that speech at Kobe’s memorial.
Though MJ never fully admitted that Kobe was indeed the next one to take the torch you can tell deep inside he always knew Kobe was just the same kind of beast as him. Which is rare in a single lifetime. Kobe is Kobe but he was the closest thing to the next MJ ever to play to game. RIP Black Mamba!
You can't even imagine a year or so later, Michael Jordan tears flowing down his face would be trying to put into words your relationship at your funeral. We lost not just one of the greatest players, but one of the great men who represent the WNBA and NBA. Miss your word Kobe. Its tragic.
Miss Kobe....love the relationship him and MJ had
R.I.P. Bean! Still can’t believe he’s gone.
The transcendent relationship dynamic between Michael Jordan (mentor) and Kobe Bryant (mentee) applies to every area of relationship life. All people who are great (Michael Jordan) want is someone to mentor that wants to be great and grind like they do (kobe bryant). In many areas of life people want to be mentored but they disappoint the mentor because they won't grind like the mentor. Kobe got Michael's attention because he was "about that life"
I miss him every day 😭
2 of the greatest player’s ever! Jordan#1 Kobe #2
#2 SG sure. Not #2 all time.
I wonder how many teared up like I just did when I started watching this. We miss Kobe.
Tears driving home when I heard the sad news I couldn't stop crying. Hope there is basketball up there to cheer Kobe On
I love those guys. My most idol people in the world. MJ and Kobe
1:24 Kobe's inner child
Kobe Bryant my favorite but I have so much respect for Michael Jordan for creating a monster that mamba mentality 💛💜
Good to see Kobe in this interview
Damn the way he said that’s my big brother 🥺
Hell yeah. Los Angeles misses you Kobe.
Kobe will be miss as our best Halls of Fame in 2021as he look up to our best legend Michael Jordan as his big brother as they were my two best legend talented basketball players 🙌👍👌💔🥺👏🏻🤧
This man will always be my number one idol the work the want to can almost never be matched. I lose it everytime when he says they call Jordan black jesus 😭 RIP Black mamba
Time will go on and I promise you, you'll forget the numbers.. But just like me as a young man who will always respect Jerry west a guy I never seen play. Kobe will live on in that same aspect and in an even greater capacity because who he was influenced by, who he played against, and the fact that he was a str8 up winner. RIP 🐐🐍
God we miss you Kobe.
Great questions asked by the interviewer.
2 years later, and it is still crazy that this shit actually happened, we were not suppose to lose Kobe Bryant at age 41 in a fucking helicopter crash, it just should have not happened ☹
I love Kobe!!!
STAY SAFE EVERYBODY GOD BLESS JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU
Two Goats. Lebron wished he was that closed to M J.
The CRAZY thing about MJ and Mamba is there haven't been two players from DIFFERENT ERAS that were so similar to each other. Even though they faced off, they NEVER went up against each other prime vs. prime. When Kobe first entered the league, MJ was in his prime. When MJ was with the Wizards, he was outta his prime while Kobe was now in his. But in terms of their size, skillsets, mentality, etc., they were so damn similar. BUT YET from two different generations!
No michael jordan's prime was late 80s michael that man flying in the air like super Saiyan Goku Michael Jordan's prime was late '80s early 90s that was the best version of Michael Jordan
@@thekobechannel4610 There's a DIFFERENCE between peak and prime! Jordan's PEAK was late 80's - early 90's! When Kobe came in the league Jordan was in his BACKEND PRIME! He was past his peak. BUT still the best player on the planet HANDS DOWN! Still winning scoring titles, still All League Defense, still winning rings! When Kobe first hit the league, MJ was STILL IN HIS PRIME!! But past his peak, mainly because he wasn't at athletic peak anymore.
Wizards MJ was CLEARLY past his prime though. No longer a superstar. BUT at age 39-40 still was averaging All Star caliber numbers. 22 PPG, 4-5 dimes, 6 boards a night.
So for guys who great GREAT for a long time, they have their prime, peak, and then backend prime. When u look at MJ, Kobe, Bron, Kareem, Mailman, Stockton, Duncan,Dirk, etc., this ALL APPLIES! Guys like this JUST DON'T PEAK and fall out of their prime all of a sudden.
LOL Kobe entered the league when MJ was 33/34 yrs old wtf prime u talking bout.. Mike's prime was probably 87-93 when he was individually destroying the league
@@NotAnAstronaut2k At 33-34 years old, MJ was in his backend prime. He was still the best player in league. Still winning scoring titles. Still making All League Defense. When u have all that going U aren’t past your prime. MJ was past his peak. But he was in his backend prime mode
@a_leaf Kobe's level? KG was definitely Kobe's level lol, he just wasted his prime in Minnesota, imagine KG playing in a large market like L.A. with Shaq
BLACK MAMBA! RIP MY BROTHA!
Kobe tried to do Bron the same way in the All Star game n Bron folded. Kobe and MJ were from a different cloth there is no comparison
Imagine a player being so feared in the modern game they called him Black Jesus. Lebron and Steph are great but they were never getting called Black Jesus.
Kobe, great man.
Now we know why Michael cried!
Kobe could be a really good actor i believe, after retirement he could easily do that.
Kobe Bryant is a cool brother, who reps God's Creation well!
Magic Johnson watching two GOATS playing against each other 🏀💯🔥👏🙌👍🎉 2:13
That's badass. Never noticed that before. Probably seen this picture a thousand times and never noticed Magic in the background. Pretty sweet.
game recognizes game
THIS IS MY LAST BEER TONIGHT IN MICHAEL JORDAN NAME I PRAY 🙏
RIP JAMES JORDAN (MICHALE JORDAN DAD)
this hurts to watch :(
See why Kyrie don’t fuks with LBJ. Ain’t nobody son. I got 1 dad. Kobe said MJ was like my brother. Respect and no disrespect from the Goat.
2:09 idc if MJ was better, this is one of the closest lines ive ever heard
RIP KOBE BRYANT GIANNA BRYANT CHADWICK BOESMAN AND ALL OF THE OTHERS
Kobe kobe kobe
🐐
I hear a lot of people talking about old school basketball player but Dr J name never get mentioned he never get the attention as the other guys get and he better then everybody else and he started the whole thing
MJ does....
Maybe MJ is partly responsible in influencing Kobe's transfer from Adidas to Nike.
Anthony Davis needs to watch this after Giannis gave him the business last nite with 47pts. It's about embracing the match up taking the challenge.
Kobe is the closest thing to mj. No doubt for it. Kobe made excitements everytime he played same as mj. Sorry youngsters, but lbj never had that kind of excitement.
💔
1:41 LMAOOOOO
🐐⛰
MJ the God but Kobe is the arch angle!🤦🏻♂️🤣
Surely MJ misses those Christmas cards. 😢
His last one on one interview:(
What did he mean about sending Christmas cards but yet having nothing to do with it?
Probably that the wives plan the pictures. Hard to imagine MJ and Kobe organizing Christmas card photos. They just sent each other one
Their wives or their PAs lol
Haha you really think MJ and Kobe are going to go out and find a cute christmas card, sit down and write a little wholesome family message in it and mail it to eachother?
@@rtc7788 hahahaha this funny
Lebron would have been one of those players calling him Black Jesus. Lol
Lol I have some advice for any and everybody. Don’t call any human Jesus kobe is correct. Respect mike call mike by his real name.
But Jesus was human.
What's with the transformers toys?
Kobes collection
1:45 😂🤣🤣🤣
did he said oscar robinson
Why not? The real triple-double king.
Kobe level of arrogance is insane, he’s lucky he wasn’t born 10 years earlier, otherwise Micheal would of instaured the fear that everyone is talking about.
Highly un likely
Kobe played with a prime Michael a Jordan my guy, Jordan won championships when Kobe was in the league 💯. He was in the MJ era 💯 Kobe was too hungry
No Kareem???
Kareem did not run his Lakers teams Magic Johnson did, Kareem got career points because he played until like age 80
He went to who his heart said were GOATs. Dream and Russell were his big men. The footwork and post moves of Olajuwon were taught
Kobe maybe better than MJ
Better then attaturk
@@desimdarim6590 if he was might be
🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄
No doubt about it. He's the only one who has surpassed MJ in terms of greatness. But in terms of passion for the game. They're on equal footing.
Close, but not as good
Lebron ain’t in it hmmm
He talked like Mike, played like Mike, same mannerisms. He never knew how to be Kobe. He copied everything he did. He talked about how they referred to him as black Jesus and acted like he didn't want to be like him, yet 100 percent copied everything Mj did.
The mature sword antenatally water because fat additionly transport onto a energetic porcupine. blue, boundless command
kobe was inferior to jordan because he played in an era when the NBA was much softer, he faced much easier opponents and he was lucky enough to find himself from the beginning of his career in the best NBA team with the best coach and the best roster
