I've been playing Super Mario 64 on my Miyoo A30 for the past couple days and it's been working fantastic. It does get warm and there was an instance where it froze for a couple seconds before going back to normal but otherwise it's actually a very playable experience.
Definitely interested in this Bro . I’m gonna wait a bit though and see what kind of tweaks you do to it later on. Keep up the great work and thanks for the video
It’s been a lot better since the initial firmware update but it still gets hot. I tried to think about heat dissipation but there really is no better way than they are doing it now
I got my A30 a couple of days ago. Ive been using Miyoo devices for a few years. This one confuses me. Ive got absolutely no issues with the build quality. Russ was completely wrong on this. I usually agree with his opinions most of the time. Not with this one. Then you turn on the device and its just really disappointing. Its not done. What you would think is, the main buying point of the Mini and Mini Plus was Onion OS. Why is it impossible for Miyoo, or any of these other companies for that matter, to seek out and hire a small team of developers to actually develop a really good OS? Virtually NONE of these companies developing these devices has done this. Powkiddy teamed up with JELOS, A damn good move on their part. This should've been a regular thing at least two years ago. Now, its just doom and gloom for the A30. Every review is the same and its Miyoo's own fault. That said, i do believe this device will improve over time. Im on the fence on whether it should even get Onion on it at all. If it delays Onion being developed for the Flip in any way, they should just skip it, in my opinion. Honest review. It matches up with my experience, too. Mine came in great condition. Take care!
Thank you for the great detail. Sounds like a similar experience. Oddly JelOS dropped Powkiddy after before the RGB10Max3 was even delivered which was their first official build for them. That’s why the RGB20SX comes with different OS’s depending where you purchase. The Onion team got the A30 pre launch so hopefully something comes of that. Even MinUI might be ok on the A30. Biggest problem is these are all hardware companies and don’t have the depth to create software. If you look at what normal tech costs it would be a good example of the price increase we would see if they were going to hire a development team. That and they are getting these services for free with small dev teams fixing the software. It’s a double edged sword

It is hot, literally! I can play for up to 5+bmins and it starts heating up noticeably. Runs up to 110.degreee when playing 3d DC games.

Mines on the way, got the grey as well. For the joystick can't you enable it in Retroarch? Usually it's never enabled by default
That’s the thing. I did enable it. It’s weird it should also work in the menus and it’s not

In my opinion, the rg28xx is way better. More powerful and more support. It already has an alpha knulli os and minui
