Nice Job! My best friend from our time in the Army lives full time in a decommissioned U.S. Forestry fire tower i=on a ridge overlooking the Wind River in Riverton Wyoming. his is 20x20 and sits on steel beams 15 feet or so off the ground. He bought it in the spring of 2022 when his son was a senior in High School and worked on it every weekend through the spring and as soon as his son left for the Air Force Academy in May he moved in and says he's never been happier, no matter how bad the day at work sucked he gets to go home start a fire throw a ribeye on the wood stove and Sweet onion in the fire, eat a steak and a sweet onion while drinking a couple adult beverages while looking at one of the most beautiful views he's ever seen.
@@BeardsAndBowsOutdoors Yeah it is, I went to visit him this past summer and absolutely perfect except for the being in Wyoming during the winter. I don;t do winter, that's why I live on the beach in central florida
I know what you refer to and will get it braced up accordingly. The weight of this milled lumber is at least a third of the weight of your normal lumber and no added weight on those sides make it possible for now. Thanks for watching! 👊
That’s cool I think I could stick out a weekend all day sits in there Awsome I might have to go to a camp site somewhere away from the deer at night to cook outside campfire you know but I could crawl right back in there and sleep and wake up in the blind already Got your phone play some cards glass for a while Insulated pretty good from sound and smell Heck ya 👍
It's a fun home away from home. When I'm cold and ready to get outta the treestand, it sure is nice having a warm place. Check out my update vids on it too of you like. 🦌👊
Find some old free swivel adjustable office chairs. That’s what we have in all out deer blinds. Really comfortable and you can recline a little bit while your waiting. They are on rollers too, makes it easy to scoot away from window or up to window for a shot. Some are better looking than others lol. But they are comfy and do there job.
Paint the walls black in there makes is darker, less light inside and allows for more movement without being busted that’s what we done on ours, It’s built on a 8x12 trailer so we can move it anywhere we want on the farm.
Looks very comfortable but generally not adviseable to paint the walls bright white, etc and make it easy from outside to silhouette you or show movement

@@BeardsAndBowsOutdoors cool. Thanks for the replies. Looks great. I have built several boxes blinds over the years and sold them all. I'm finally building one for myself this year. I'm 46 years old. So this will be my last one I build. So, I'm doing it right. I'm always looking for fresh ideas for this one. And got some good ideas from your video. Thanks again.
King crapper is the way to go. I watched another hunting vid where a guy had to drop a deuce. And he left the blind to do his business and came back. His friend said, "How did it go?" And he replied, "Well, now, I am wearing only one sock." There is no need to be that guy with a little bit of preparation.
This is my first blind of any kind ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxLQGtOO9dXIsNktEeycGoIT6jtJJNTScA so nothing to compare it to. After I receive it, I set it up and left it outside at home for a couple of months to let it start smelling more like outside than human. So far I've been very happy with it. Very roomy - I hunt alone but could easily fit another person comfortably. Put one bolt through the shoot-through mesh, and works as advertised. I've ordered another one, so this noob is totally satisfied. One caveat - the included stakes are pretty useless; you'll want to order something more substantial. I haven't had it long enough to rate durability, but zero issues so far.

@@BeardsAndBowsOutdoors yeah I was busting your chops I saw you guys building it. It was 6’x6’ square by x7’ tall made my own curtains also. It was on 6”x6” poles about 12’ off the ground with steps also. So I know there’s nothing like staying warm and sitting in a office chair while you hunt. I had a 5 gallon bucket with toilet seat on it that I bought from Sportsmans Guide. Also had the pipe urinal like you guys. 15 years ago I spent $1200 building that myself. But lost the lease and had to tear it down and haul it home in pieces. At times, yes. I am going to try the anti fog on the inside and a large sock filled with kitty litter trick in hopes of it not happening again

Rain collection system, let tank drip into a trough close by.
So what's the benefit of putting the metal on sideways, vs vertical like its intended to be?
The sheets I had were just long enough to cover sideways, I didnt want 4 ft scrap pieces to use from going vertically..
