I must say I'm super impressed with the quality of my Enduro. And the performance was stellar once I upgraded to 1.9x4.7s. The overdrive really helps with the turning radius.
The Trailwalker is a hoot! Mine included mirrors. The decals on the windows will peel off. I installed the included bumper and some 4.19 ProLine KM3s. The 1.55 went on my Marlin Crawler, everyone knows an 1980s Yota had 15 inch wheels!🤣 Enjoyed. the video.👍🏼
Hi Joe. Really pleased to see you finally have an Element in your collection. I've a couple of them now, one with the IFS too. I've been really impressed with them over the last year. You can fit the 12% O/D gears that are supplied in the box, makes a real difference. Also in the box you should find the mirrors, wipers, door handles, a roof rack and also the extra bumper/front valance to change the front end. It's about to be released in the UK shortly, so we'll see one close up soon, I'm also not sure about the bodyshell. The stock motor with a 1080 works great, also up the pinion size. My IFS rig has a Holmes 20T Crawlmaster Pro with a 1080 and a 21 tooth pinion on 3s. slow but super quiet and plenty of wheel speed when i need it. Apologies for the essay! BTW i have nothing to do with Element RC. Loving your content recently, well deserved fella.
I'm fairly new to the RTR 4x4 truck world. I love the course the truck drove on and your video. I'll need to build something in the back to get the most outta my truck.
Glad to see you're finally came around on the Element! I've been lovin mine! I did put some of your China wheels on it to give it some lower weight bias and I also put some aluminum shock towers on it! Nice job as always Joe! Thanx! ~;+}>
The novelty to me is a different suspension setup for a new driving challenge. The IFS got me to pull the trigger on the Element finally. Mine is supposed to be here Tuesday.
Yeah that’s the only reason I have it. I’m kinda considering putting another in the back for a fully IFS C1 truck for trails. Not sure if I’ll 4ws it or not but it’s on my mind
I'm sure it would make a pretty cool trail truck. All stickered up they look nice, and there is some good scale detail included. But as a ifs crawler, mmm, not my level of performance. But it come with some cool options and with the solid front axle and some decent 1.9's it could be as good as the original element enduro. Well made trucks I like them a lot. This is a cool option for people who are into scale trail run outa the box. And that little bit of overdrive is awesome. I believe the overdrive can be bumped up pretty easily as well. Nice little rig.
I love mine! I’m happy that you finally gotten to test it too! My only gripes with the element is the top speed of the 5slot. It goes nice and slow but I’m looking to upgrade it rather soon. Also, the front ground clearance isn’t the best. Other than that, I love it and it has amazing geometry as well!
That ifs just seems like it would catch and drag on more stuff, like mud, vegetation and lose debris in general. Overall I like the body I think it would make a cool overland rig imitation kind of thing. I painted my rtr trx4 sport body with regular ole rattle can spray paint..about the time the gen8 came out...and its held up nicely. ....there was something else I wanted to say but it eludes me lol. Thanks for the review. Ha I remembered lol. Inner fenders....come on RC companies your rigs outta come with them!
Change the front bumper out, put a nice set of 4.19 tires on it and its just as capable as a TRX-4. Granted it's more expensive than a TRX-4... I just really love how the rear suspension just tucks and rebounds as it maneuvers without too much body roll. I am really impressed with mine.
Definitely happy to see a true Rc guy step out of their comfort zone and be impressed. I'm digging it. Lol. Dig. Has no dig.... anyway...lol... I've seen them painted and all white is not Exocage Rc to me. Lol. Like the gen8 and trx, & so on. Great job awesome video looking forward to be impressed! Awesome Job Joe!
Yeah my Tamiya CC01 was white. Not sure if I’ll try to do something with this body or not. With the ifs I could use any newer Chevy or ford truck body and it would be right for suspension. Would have to check the wheelbase to see what would fit.
Exocaged RC yeah I’ve beat the brakes off my enduro and the only thing I’ve managed to break is i pulled a rear link out. Stuck it back on as a trail fix and it’s been going even longer. Even the stock servo, while sorta weak, has been holding its own on 3S for about 3 months now
Really happy to see this truck on the channel, since I am considering buying one soon. Could you try a larger pinion on the stock setup? I think this truck uses the same pinion size with the tiny tires as the Sendero with its larger tires, leaving the Trailrunner undergeared.
I’m really surprised at how small the wheels are but seems like a really good rig I can’t wait to see what you do with it! Im loven that independent suspension
Check out knight customs they make light buckets just need to remove paint under stickers. If you don’t have 3d printer Shapeways usually has them too.
@@ExocagedRC u right. Guess give u options. To me don't like the design. Sits to low on travel. Here's a like to a guy I fellow putting the kit on his enduro IFS kit ua-cam.com/video/B7EgAAaSSeQ/v-deo.html
Great review like always ! I gotta get one of these i like ifs cause its pretty close to my daily driver 16 tacoma. I think a cool upgrade would be some aftermarket 1.55 tires like pit bulls
As tech progresses we will see more independent suspension trucks out there. Just like in the trophy truck world it has taken over. Look at how how good the ifs KOH vehicles are now. Look at Tim Cameron’s newest bouncer. Ifs will continue to get better and the one in this truck is actually good. It could have been designed with a LOT more ground clearance for sure.
I must say I'm super impressed with the quality of my Enduro. And the performance was stellar once I upgraded to 1.9x4.7s. The overdrive really helps with the turning radius.
finally i have been waiting for a "proper" run of this truck. It did amazing. Keep it up
Excellent review, good model, interesting the independent front axle, it works and do the job.
Love to see the Element roaming around at the Exoplex. Definitely a capable RTR and looks amazing. Soon all the scale accessories will be available.
Love your reviews , good real world tests I have a trailwalker love what element are doing

True on the 15’s! I like this little truck.
Ok I agree way better at crawling than I thought it would be! Pretty cool!

Cool man. Yeah first element for me. Other than a few motor tests it may stay mostly stock for general trail use at the USTE.

Cool man. So far I like this one.
Knight Customs makes a Gen 5 4Runner front end for this body.
This body and the "Tacoma" one look so cool. I love Jeeps, but it's cool to see other off road/overland vehicle makes out there.
I love my enduro builders kit. Looking to get one of these too.
I have seen other trail runner with mirros, so look into the box....great vid👍
Yeah I’m pretty sure I missed them in the bag or on the parts tree
Mine was in a small separate bag taped inside the box.
Nice!!! Got mine Tuesday it’s sweet rig enjoy

I’m going to try a 10t Crawlmaster Pro 550 in it soon. If you stay with a 540, go with the Crawlmaster 13t 540. It’s an awesome little motor.
Could a larger pinion gear get more speed out of the stock setup? I’d love to see.

Awesome review, man. Now to find a used Enduro slider for a build 🤘

These Manuel's reminds me of actual car guides books and boxs r sweet
Finally an element! An enduro series would be awesome! It’s a great RTR for a first time crawler
I drove it today for a bit of a durability test, hammered it pretty good and it held up great!

🤣😂🤣🤞haven't rolled it yet🤣😂🤞u can put the lights in the bumperrrrrr, dude I am a big fan of this bran. Glad u did a review brooooooo

I’ve got some videos in the works with different motors. I’m not really a fan of bigger pinions.
How does it steer so tight lol? Tighter than many crawlers, wow.
The front has a 5.7% overdrive so that helps and it was nice to see it turn like this.
Do you think Element will make a SBK from this kit? An SBK is a kit with no electronics, wheels or body, just like the old HPI Venture SBK.
I have no idea. I don’t have any contacts with associated.
What do u like better the trx4 or the element, I really want one in the future
This might make a good prerunner if u can get the front end unlocked
True. With it being the size of the 10.2 I don’t see how to get that done.
what is the chance you could test the BowHouse Rc Element Enduro N2R IFS Steering Rack? on this rig?
I haven't even seen that piece
@@ExocagedRC sent link to fb message
Dang it! I need mine already!
13:40 - That's just more scale realism. The same can be said for 4runners!
cant wait to grab one of these and drop some class1 hyrax tires on it
I’m really surprised at how small the wheels are but seems like a really good rig I can’t wait to see what you do with it! Im loven that independent suspension
If they were white or shiny wheels I’m sure they would look better. I may have to make that happen.

Intro was a 11/10
😂😂😂
Hey, great video! How can I get in touch with you?
Maybe they soon will sell a solid axle front conversion kit.
It comes with one in the box!
Yeah that solid axle I showed is supposed to go right in with no other parts needed.
I was trying to make a joke, but I didn't do very well I think😄
Other than the body it looks like a great option
I feel like the body lets the truck down and makes it look cheaper than it is
Yeah it’s a bit underwhelming. The 10.3 body is spectacular by comparison.
Well hopefully they will make the real 4runner body now😎
I was thinking the same thing
They’ll have to get licensing to make a legit body for this and that adds cost. But for $390 you’d think they would have that in there.
@@ExocagedRC yeah, i don't really know why they didn't for 390usd you have about the kit and ifs kit here where i live though
Would it work good for a class s 1 comp rig
I think so, so far I’ve been impressed
Bro there's video of Install of the straight axle. Don't need no other Peace's bolts right in buddy. That's why it's in the package lol
Ok awesome. If I was going to do that wouldn’t just buying a trail walker be the better way?

take a looook. I love it.
Check out knight customs they make a really nice front end for that body
In absolutely, positively no way did I want this crawler after the element kit!
Until now. Damn you. LOL!
😂😂😂 I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it crawls and turns.
You can buy the IFS separately if you want to bolt it on!
JiKimbo yeah that would be what I do.
Snorkels are for dust, not water.
down here in the south the water gets deep

i'm painting up a metric body for mine
Nothing like scale tire squeal!!!
My opinion IFS is trash for crawling that's more for speed like a trophy truck more articulation with a solid axle.. again my opinion

LOL WAIT IT A MINUTE!! 1:1 SCALE TIRE SQUEAL!!!
😂😂YEP!!
Put 7.4v to that servo, They can take it!
I haven’t looked up the specs on it, if it’s good for 7.4 it will be done with the 1080 esc swap.
Pretty sad when you can get a Gen 8 for less and get more
Depends on what you’re looking for.
Why these toyota bodies.
Hard pass. It's only RTR. I'd get one if it came in a kit form with a clear body.
