Thanks for this awesome tutorial!!! My first x base cuff is also my first carousel cuff now!!! :D I actually did mine different, I split it in half. The bottom half is light purple, and the top half is light orange! My railings are white :) I did not put anything inside though. But this cuff is AMAZING! I plan to wear it to the state fair, because well the name! xD
TYSM FOR THIS!! i needed something to put in the middle of my rotator but i didn’t want to make more pyramids so i looked up carousel cuff tutorials and this helped me
I'm planning on starting this project tonight and I want to add some old microlights from an old glove set I have to the inside to give it that extra pop. I was thinking using sticky velcro buttons to attach them so it would be easy to take the microlights out when needed (changing batteries n such) but thinking about it, the beads obviously rotate when moved so the velcro may be compromised there, do you think I could glue the beads that would have the velcro attached together so they don't rotate and remain stationary? I was also thinking I could somehow sew the casings onto the beads, but come to think about it I think doing the who gluing a few of the beads together may work best, what would your take on it be? 😇😇
You could use superglue to make the columns rigid and then thread around the columns several times to make sure they don't move. This will also double as something you can sew the Velcro to. You can also make a 3D cube, sphere, or netting stitch (xbase) out of clear beads for a pouch it can sit in and be easily taken out of when needed. i’ve been trying to do a kandi project a day (my last two projects were a rotating cuff and a mask which took two days) and this is going to be tonight’s-!!!
wow, making this.... literally pissed me off. I really underestimated the amount of time, beads, and patience this cuff would require. the finished product is amazing, but I would probably never make another one of these. ever. (very great tutorial though! ^^)
i spent 3 hours on this, i forced myself to stay up until it was finished. IM DONE- and its a little floppy woppy and JUSTTTT A BITTT loosey goosey but someday, i will make it again-
I have a method for tying the band thingies. When you tie it off, put only 1 of the strings through the bead and then tie it. This stops the string from showing outside of the bead
I missed a second row point somehow when I made mine didn’t realize till I got to the railing so I just stuck with it which still ended up looking cool! And even though I only had one type of string it’s pretty sturdy!!!
I love this video it was very helpful as always!! Mine turned out nice but a little wonky and not as straight and I dont know why.... I keep looking over it and I followed all the steps... I used fishing line and stretch magic but yet it doesn't look right.. ANy idease of what I did wrong?
I absolutely LOVVEE your kandi tutorials! It's your tutorials that have started my kandi making obsession :P Anyways, I have a requests for tutorial video when you have the time. If not, it's not worries :) My request is how to make a kandi gas mask :0 I've always thought they looked super awesome and I can't really find a tutorial that works for me D: Your tutorials just work with my learning style :3 Thanks!!
How did you get it to line up evenly when you flipped it over to do the other side because mine was at an angle when I went to do the points for the second time
just made one of these and my pillars collapse. i think my mistake was using star beads for the connectors, i didnt think of how it would play out. whoops
only problem I'm having with time the knot at the top do you overlap the strings and if so where do you hide the not I can't really tell from the video I can't really see
The sting should not over lap. I typically put on side of the string in the bead point and tie the knot and then slide it into the bead point. If this didn't answer your question feel free to send me a photo on my FB page and I can better assist you. :)
im pretty upset... i made everything and got to the point where you add pillars. and then the connector beads didnt match. theyre diagonal to each other. :\
I know a lot of people who still make and wear kandi actively and i'd say although i don't see anyone walking around with it in public, it's still very relevant online.
Ima do my first carousel. Looks easy,it just takes time is all.
Definitely:)
Yes. And patience. And sweat. And blood. And tears. And more tears. And a lot of screams. But you’ll get there.
@@rinhaha indeed
It looks easy but I promise you watch the video lots it will pay off so u don’t have to re-do it

your tutorials are so helpful!!!!! thank you for making these! - a beginner kandi kid
I FINALLY HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE ELASTIC STRETCH CORD. The amount of times I tried to stretch the 1mm cord was painful
This is an amazing cuff but it's not good for crowded Raves I literally watched mine blow up at a DubStep show beads everywhere😞
Oh no! :o
tying 3 knots and a drop of super glue or clear nail polish on the knot is really helpful if you haven't tried that already!
This Tutorial was so helpful this is my first time ever making a bigger cuff
You've literally helped me make every one of my cuffs :D Thank you !! :p
your tutorials are so easy to follow. thank you for taking the time to teach us

Mines not sturdy but thats because i only had sparkle elastic string. So its very loose, but i still love it! Its not bad for my first one!
thank you for this tutorial, i made my first kandi cuff using this video and i love it!
This was super cool and i love mine! It was a very detailed tutorial and it was shown well and makes sense!
Omg this helped me so much!! I made a cat paw inspired cuff and I used this tutorial:33 thank you for this tutorial!! It was super helpful
thank you so much ! i just made my first one ever :D your tutorial explained everything perfectly and so clearly i really appreciate it !
i am making my first carousel for a rotating piece of a rotating cuff!
Same!
wow, making this.... literally pissed me off. I really underestimated the amount of time, beads, and patience this cuff would require. the finished product is amazing, but I would probably never make another one of these. ever. (very great tutorial though! ^^)
themeowskii They are very labor intensive I feel your pain on that. lol
+Ginger Cand-e how do you attach an action figure to a carousel or epic cuff
You can tie them to the cuff or drill a hole in them and attach them that way.
Thank you
i love your picture, jane is fave
i spent 3 hours on this, i forced myself to stay up until it was finished. IM DONE- and its a little floppy woppy and JUSTTTT A BITTT loosey goosey but someday, i will make it again-
It takes practice sometimes. I. glad you finished it. There's also no shame in taking breaks.
ugh!! I always run out of beads while doing this. I love the design though!
Thank you for the tutorial!! Made me first carousel cuff and it came out pretty awesome 😁😁😁
I have a method for tying the band thingies. When you tie it off, put only 1 of the strings through the bead and then tie it. This stops the string from showing outside of the bead
can i ask how you videotape your videos??
I missed a second row point somehow when I made mine didn’t realize till I got to the railing so I just stuck with it which still ended up looking cool! And even though I only had one type of string it’s pretty sturdy!!!
The best thing about kandi is your can almost always find a solution if you're creative enough. I make mistakes too. lol
OMFG!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMING BACK LMAO BEEN WAITING
Elaina martinez You're welcome I've been working on doing weekly videos that get released on Monday evenings. :)
wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awwww ty!

Rhiannon Kelly a common issue i have with cuffs is I don't pull them tight throughout the process
p.s you are my kandi idol after lady casa
I remember lady casa from twitter!
This seems easy!
Just time consuming lol
I don't really understand how you tie off the vertical bars, but other than that the video is really helpful😁
Could you do a tutorial on that Chain Cuff you posted on kandipatterns?
kisukyoko Of course! :D
Awsome! :D
Thank you for the tutorial. I just made my first Carousel cuff :)
This was really fun to make 😎
this was so helpful thank you!!!!
im making my 3 x cuff into a carousel and i only make kandi with yarn :3
YARN???
Yarn woah
so do you just string one side through the connector bead?
For what part?
I absolutely LOVVEE your kandi tutorials! It's your tutorials that have started my kandi making obsession :P Anyways, I have a requests for tutorial video when you have the time. I'm glad you've found my tutorials helpful. The gas mask is already on my list. ☺
Mine is a lil floppy but still looks good am so happy tysm :D
How did you get it to line up evenly when you flipped it over to do the other side because mine was at an angle when I went to do the points for the second time
looks like you started the points one segment too early. Make sure they line up before you proceed.
Where did you get your yellow bead storage box?
It was a gift. It was passed on through like 3 other kandi kids so I have no idea.
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN HOW TO TIE ON THE UHM WHAT ARE THEH CALLED….. Standy up thingos? I have spent 20 minutes attaching them and only added 3
H1 2021!!11!
Success again! You rock!
how did you make the x base cuff?
can i make this cuff with a single x-base? or does it have to be a double?
You can make it with a single.
just made one of these and my pillars collapse. i think my mistake was using star beads for the connectors, i didnt think of how it would play out. whoops
What kind of sting do you use? It looks kinda like fabric. The string i use is soon slippery i can never tie it off
+Chase Martin She uses fabric covered elastic. They sell it basically everywhere and its a lot better than plastic string for kandi.
Ah thank you! yeah I use plastic string and hate it
+Chase Martin you're welcome!
only problem I'm having with time the knot at the top do you overlap the strings and if so where do you hide the not I can't really tell from the video I can't really see
The sting should not over lap. I typically put on side of the string in the bead point and tie the knot and then slide it into the bead point. If this didn't answer your question feel free to send me a photo on my FB page and I can better assist you. :)

how many beads does this take?
A lot. Not sure of the count lol
You’re awesome!
im pretty upset... i made everything and got to the point where you add pillars.
and then the connector beads didnt match. theyre diagonal to each other.
:\
You can still proceed like that. It makes a cool design. Next time make sure the points match before proceeding.
This Shit was hard but I did it
My back hurts :-:
So real though but it’s worth it
my points aren’t even what happened
Can you send me a pic on IG? I'd love to help.
@@GingerCandE i eventually figured it out but thank you!
Is kandi still relevant? I love it but it seems out of style
Kandi comes and goes like most rave fashions but there are dedicated fans for sure. :)
I know a lot of people who still make and wear kandi actively and i'd say although i don't see anyone walking around with it in public, it's still very relevant online.
