Destroyer was KISS at their very best. My first KISS record too. I can`t find any other KISS album that is as good all around, with no weak tunes there. I have never seen them live though. And in the 80`s Metal was King ,so my focus leaned to the thrash scene going on with a few key bands like Metallica and Megadeth, Anthrax, OverKill, etc. Maiden and Priest were always there for us thru many years. What I find in kids today is that a lot of them are listening to our music we grew up with 40 years later going strong still !! When we wre that age we thought the Who, Zep, CSN, and many other bands had recorded only a few years ago were "played out" really. But they were almost new in reality. I am sorry. I am having a hard time putting thought to word here. Cheers old man !!🤘💥
Ace, Eric C, Peter and Vinnie (Ace especially) will always be my top favorites, and for me the original lineup will forever be my favorite. It's just kinda sad that they aren't going out with a bang with the originals, it just doesn't feel the same to me
I’ve seen them 3 times. Original members reunion in the 90’s. Then again in 2010’s with current lineup. Then the last time on their farewell tour. Last one was the best because I was sober and remember the whole concert !!
Missed Pauls other makeup style but good work. The no makeup era had the best songs which are sadly ignored now. What was most amazing was counting all the wigs Paul & Gene have used over the years.
One Hell of a run. Summer 1977 I was 12 when I snuck out and saw them the first time. If I get the chance to see them this last tour I will be painting my face once again. And Rock- n- Roll all Night Long.
I'm amazed by this. I read a book with similar content, and it was truly remarkable. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint
My dad was friends with a roadie who worked for them, so he was able to buy some posters only made for record companies, and the roadie had one but it closed, so he sold the merch and my dad got a rare poster with all 4 kiss members albums
@@WhoisVinnie Gene Simmons...Mr. Moneybags himself. What's up with this dude? I sometimes wonder if he even thinks about what he says, before he says it.

50 de ani de... KISS!
Maybe because it's what I knew from my younger cousins, but 70's Kiss was the best. In the 80's they did take on the 80's hair band sound during that era and evolved slightly, but pretty much it seems they stayed the same & abit over produced onwards. At least what I hear from this video.
Ok. I know of the "Four Which Are One" mythos about KISS, and "The False One" (The Fox), but I didn't know about The Ank Warrior character. I also know of the period they spent Unmasked, but I didn't realize it lasted so long.
Vinnie was a pretty good guitarist :) underrated in my opinion! but Ace is still my #1 favorite (as you can tell from my profile picture) Eric Carr was probably my favorite drummer as well, Great guy.
Eric passed away in such a young age... I miss him, he certainly was a great drummer.

The KISS evolution was the best one you have done so far. Good job mate.
So happy this is the first evolution of KISS video! Thank you so much ive been waiting forever for this to be made😭

Totally agree. Crazy how those two (Gene and Paul) have been pulling the blanket onto themselves all these years.

I agree. Even though I've been a fan since the 70s, my favourite songs were from the no-makeup period too.
Freaking love lick it up & animalize!!
Fairly certain that KISS is legendary (they're already legends anyways)
I love that you used a movie promo photo of Gene in drag

The shot with Thayer and Singer without makeup is a good way to see them.
Pretty crazy how their music changed to perfectly match each era and the ever changing popular music, up until the early 2000's anyway.

Kiss was the beat in the 70s, then when the 80s came along everything died, besides some good hits that's it.
