Thanks Alan! Trying to figure out how to fish a low incoming tide for bass and or stripers. What type of areas would you suggest targeting during the next week or so?
On a low incoming tide now I go after the stripers. I target flat areas where the current is pushing into with sparse grass. Then when the water gets higher I'll switch to the bass and it depends where I'm at. Lately I'm out in Collinsville area to Pittsburg so I'm just targeting stripers.
Yer still launching out of hogback after what happened to yer truck? I used to launch there all the time but so often I would see broken glass and after what happened to you, I don't go there anymore.
Yes I'm still launching there. The county is there on weekends and are charging to get in now. If your early you don't have to pay. There hasn't been any problems but last week a guy fished all night and they broke into his truck at night.
Wondering if you’ve heard anything about Lake Spaulding? Supposedly stocked landlocked kings the past 2-3years. I spent 4hrs targeting them a couple weeks back. Skunked. Marked a Few fish at the right depths but who knows, they could’ve been trout. Do you know if in fact they’re putting king in there??
Not a lot of places but in delta around marinas off Eight Mile rd, Whiskey Slough usually in the fall and winter best. Lakes Amador, Berryessa n Camanche around the marinas
No problems there now as the county cleaned up the pay booth and are there during the weekends charging. They keep that place very clean and the ramp dock is always clean.

Hi Alan, did you use bait runner spoon for stripers. How heavy did you use?
Yes I mostly use bladerunner 13/4 and 2 oz spoons. I do make my own also

I have the plants and Spaulding has been planted 2022 24,999 and 2023 25,000 so it should be good
