When I'm in 2-4ft I use 3/8oz and in 4-8ft 1/2oz and in the wind 1/2oz. I reel real slow to get the chatter bait to go more side to side. I'm using a 5:1 gear ratio reel and matching the rod real important also

I'm up north off the Mokulume river and the other day it was starting to get muddy with all this rain. Looks like I just hit it just right!

It's gonna be a good year with all this water. Might have to wait for the water to clear up now that it has rained a lot this week. I hit it just right on Wednesday as it was getting muddier as the day went on. But you can find clean water in the back of these sloughs.

Hey Rob Bladerunner only has the faceted head in 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 & 3/8th but 1/2oz will be coming out soon. You can get at Regis Bait & Tackle in Freeport or Tackle warehouse. I'm fishing off the Mokulume river up north

So all you have to do is take you boat to Gone Fishing Marine and they will put a red tag on your boat for free. This works if you're not going to fish for thirty days. Then after the thirty days you can go to Berryessa and launch your boat. Then when you come out have them put the green tag on your boat (takes couple minutes) and then you can go back anytime. If you want to go sooner go on line to Solano County Water Agency and under Decontamination make an appointment at Steel Park or Markley Cove to get it done and you can launch right after and remember to have the green tag put on after you leave lake. These are offered for free. Solano will ask for a CCD and if you don't show up they will charge you $100.

Nope all bass caught on chart/wht blades

Haven't heard anything on striper regs as it seems there will be no changes. Salmon season it doesn't look like it gonna happen, still waiting to hear. Last two years the Mokulume hatchery has had a great return on the kings but the Sac river hatcheries still low. The Salmon fishing community has NOT gotten any funds from the feds for salmon closure. Commercial salmon fisherman are struggling as they have no income from the salmon fisheries.

We were striper fishing and nothing so we started bass fishing didn't expect to much as the water was 48-51* but I found them in 2-6ft water in grass. Caught fifteen bass with the 9.17# couple 5#ers and rest were decent fish.

Yes the rivers are high and muddy. It's going to muddy up even where I was the other day up north. But after we get a week of sun and clear skies all heck gonna break loose. Stripers and bass will go on a feeding rampage!

In the delta when I'm striper fishing in water deeper than 8ft I have it on always. When I'm in 2-6ft I leave it off. Fishing for bass in the delta I'm usually in 1-6ft in weeds and I don't use it at all! Once in awhile I use it for bass early in the year when I'm fishing weed break lines in 4-8ft so I can see the weeds and drop offs. As I line myself up and cast along the edge I catch most of the bass. My friends say its not fair lol It's a tool and I use it in lots of ways.

For this time year yes it was. I love this time year with all the fresh water it gets the bass into the spawning mode. They feed more even when it's cold to get ready for the spawn especially the big girls. And it can be super slow but when you find a pattern it can be lights out!!!!!! That day we started striper fishing and for three hours nothing. So I decided to go after bass even knowing the water temp was 51* Didn't take long before we started to hook up

Any little thing helps lol. All the rivers are high now as they're releasing water with all the rain. If the American stays clear and levels off the fishing will bust open. Right now they're rising to fast. When you have high water the steelhead hug the banks.

Depends how muddy the water gets as there dumping into the bypass which will blow out the north delta around Liberty. The San Joaquin river should be ok.

Yes the water districts need to use Solano county’s system with green tag so boaters can go all lakes with green tag on boat!

Solano County has a tagging system they’re using now. Be nice if all water districts used this system .

No that’s Bucks Outboard and it’s still there. I hung around there all the time as Jerry n grew up together.

Warm storm get them fish going! Just need about 4 degrees! Lol

Yes were suppose to get a lot of rain in the next week or so. If they dump water out of Shasta and Oroville the river will get muddy again. But if it warms up the delta I can wait for it to get cleaner

For the 5" with 1/2oz jighead I use a 7'5" MH action rod. Anything from 7-71/2 ft M or MH will work fine

What was visibility water clarity?

@@AlanFong very good around a foot and a half I could see my lure. The closer we wet towards sandy beach it was cleaner. We launched out of Sherman island.
