1980 Z28 Camaro For Sale.

  • 350, 4 bolt mains, steel crank, 4 speed, factory T tops. Engine bored .030 over, forged flat top pistons, 10.25 : 1 compression. Estimated 325 horse power, t top 4 speed, original 3.08 limited slip rear axle.
    This Z28 has been completely stripped down to bare metal, all rust has been repaired with steel, new urethane suspension and body bushings. Restored brake system, refreshed interior, all new weather stripping, underside was cleaned and sprayed with bedliner.
    New 2.5'' stainless exhaust with new Headman coated headers. This Camaro was completely dissembled and repaired on my rotisserie. I have over 150 pictures of the car throughout the restoration process.

    I miss my old 1980 Z28. This is an amazing example. Wow. I like the black alternator. I would go with the factory cold air system though. Impressive work.

    i'm building a 79 z28 rs t top with full spoiler kit from factory can't wait till it gets dun 454 stroker with a 400 turbo. one thing i'm doing is putting hydraulic power assisted brakes no vacuum to power the breaks

    I own an original 1979 Berlinetta & would be very interested to know what brand of oil pressure gauge was used & was it installed in the original cluster clock location?

      If I recall, the gauge was an Autometer electric unit. You can go onto Summit Racing's website to see what they offer. I believe the gauge is 1.5" diameter. It fit in very nicely, but you will have to modify the plastic cluster housing.

      Actually, the factory T-top roof option CC1 was available from 1978 through 2002. Anything prior to '78 would have been aftermarket such as Hurst, Cars and Concepts, and so on.
