Omg, it excites me see you went to Mexico city, I lived there for 10 years.
I agree that you should go to museums, there are over 100 museums in the city!!
For a next time, I highly recommend to just walk and enjoy the Chapultepec park, I like to go to the zoo and also the different museums there, bit also enjoy a good picnic (there is a perfect spot for that near the Canadian totem).
Also, I always recommend metro and metrobus to move around the city, is super cheap and fast, you just need to avoid rush hours (their social media usually tells us how crowded is the metro) and be aware of your bags (bc of pickpocketing)
