Hi Everyone, UPDATE! - The three larger Plecos that were sent are actually a different species (L398) - I have contacted the supplier to resolve the miss-shipping and will update in a future video on what happens.
@@TMAquatics Thanks for stopping by Tom! Yeah, as soon as I opened the bags I had my doubts waited to see how they coloured up over the few days after and did not show that L397 colour! The head being a big giveaway too haha!
Hey, I have two huge sponge filters that are in a cycled tank and have been in there for months. I am setting up a grow out tank today and will be using the sponges to 'cycle' the new tank. How long after adding the sponges to the new tank would you suggest adding fish? I just had over 90 Super Red fry so in the next couple weeks they will need to be out of the breeder box and into the grow out.
Fish should be added straight away otherwise the bacteria will start to die... but there is always a risk that your bio-load is shared amongst all of your filtration, so may not handle the 90 in one go. So you could set up the tank, put in 20-30 and monitor your water parameters, all good? add a few more. it will also depend on your tank size, adding in some ornaments or wood from your existing tank will help too as bacteria will be on there too.
Caves I get from Ebay, there are a few different folks that make various sizes and shapes... I prefer D shape. The wave plates come from a company in Germany called Tilo46 :)

Hope you enjoy the video :)
I wanted to say they more resembled the 398, but didn’t. Glad you got it straightened out.

Setup looks awesome mate! The Plecos are so stunning! 👍
Thank you!
wow i thought tiger plecos did not clean glass... i guess they do! i thought only common plecos and a few other plecos did that.
I wouldn't say that they are good at cleaning the glass. Ancistrus still hold the title for cleaning glass :)
Really good video mate keep up good work 😊😊😊
Thank you 🤟
Where do you get your caves and stackers
